Final Performance of Disneyland’s Magic Happens Parade Announced
Disneyland’s Magic Happens parade will soon have its final performance of the season. As the holidays get closer, the parade will have fewer performances with the final one happening on October 15, 2023.
Starting October 2 the parade will go from 2 performances per day to one per day during the week. There will still be two performances on the weekends. The weekday daily showtime is 6:30 pm while the weekend showtimes are 3:30 pm and 6:30 pm.
The final performance will take place on October 15 at 6:30 pm. No other parades are scheduled until November 10 when the “A Christmas Fantasy Parade” returns for the holiday season. That parade is scheduled to run through January 7, 2024.

Josh D’Amaro says Disney has over 1000 Acres for Future Development
Disney recently shared that it plans to expand its parks investments and Josh D’Amaro said that the company has “over 1000 acres of land for possible future development to expand theme park space across its existing sites – the equivalent of about seven new Disneyland Parks.”
D’Amaro, the Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman, along with Senior Disney executives gathered for an investor summit in Orlando a few days ago. The summit focused on Disney’s Parks business and its track record of investing aggressively and intelligently in experiences that leverage the powerful and ever-growing library of Disney stories.
Currently, Disney is physically the largest of any global theme park travel business. There are 12 Disney theme parks across six sites worldwide. Disney’s parks business is a key driver of value creation for the company. The parks overseas are getting refurbishments and new lands, Epcot’s construction is set to be completed soon, and Disney recently shared there are more expansions in the works.
“We stand alone when it comes to scale,” said D’Amaro. “And while our scale is impressive, we have no shortage of space or regions of the world in which to tell new stories.”
Seven of the top ten most visited theme parks in the world are Disney theme parks. The parks welcome approximately 100 million guests each year. In spite of that, for every one guest who visits a Disney Park, there are more than ten people with Disney affinity who do not visit the Parks. There is a large market of Disney fans that don’t go to the parks and Disney wants to address that.
“Ultimately what is most important to us is the relationship that we have with every guest,” said D’Amaro. “Guests can spend a day with us at our Parks, a week with us on a Cruise, or the rest of their lives with us through Disney Vacation Club membership.”
“Throughout our history, we’ve created enormous growth by investing the right amount of capital into the right projects at the right moment,” said Bob Iger. “We are planning to turbocharge our growth yet again with a robust amount of strategic investment in this business.”

New Platinum Disney100 Statue Featuring Mickey Mouse on Display in EPCOT
The Disney100 Celebration has arrived at Epcot along with a new platinum Disney100 statue featuring Mickey Mouse! The celebration brings limited time offerings to Epcot now through December 31, 2023.
The new platinum Mickey Mouse statue stands in front of the Disney100 statue that has been in Epcot for a few months now. Underneath Mickey is the quote from Walt Disney, “…it was all started by a mouse.” in purple lettering.
Be on the lookout for 100 Disney Characters featured in an expansive mural located along the walkway to World Showcase.
Catch a glimpse of festive banners and celebration décor displayed throughout the park.
Gather around Spaceship Earth for a Disney100-themed display. Each night, the iconic attraction will light up with a kaleidoscope of colors set to a special orchestration of the classic song, When You Wish Upon a Star.

Disney just announced the two new Walt Disney World ambassadors for 2024-2025. Serena Arvizu and Shannon Smith-Conrad will be the latest ambassadors, replacing current ambassadors Ali Manion and Raevon Redding next year.
According to Disney, “Walt Disney World Ambassadors serve a two-year term as “Emissaries of Goodwill” and official spokespersons of our resort. They also represent more than 75,000 Cast Members and play a key role in bringing the magic of Disney out into our Florida community, offering them a special relationship with the Resort.”
The new ambassadors were officially welcomed to the ambassador team this morning at EPCOT. They will be the 83rd and 84th ambassadors, joining a small and distinguished list of cast members who have had the honor of holding the position. They will take over the ambassador role “during a monumental time for the company with more projects underway in the next decade than at any point in our history at Disney Parks, Experiences and Products” according to Disney.
Disney shared the following background information on the new ambassadors:
Serena started her Disney journey in 2016 on the Disney College Program as a hostess at The Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World. She joins the Ambassador Team from Disney Supplier Diversity where she has been a Sourcing Specialist since December 2020. Serena is most looking forward to shining a light on all the cast members at Walt Disney World and helping to tell their stories of making magic for guests, each other and the community.
Shannon started her Disney journey in 2012 on the Disney College Program at Disneyland Resort. She joins the Ambassador Team from Professional Recruitment where she has been a Coordinator since November 2021. With a deep passion for helping others, Shannon is most looking forward to bringing the magic of Disney out into the community and volunteering alongside fellow cast as a Disney VoluntEAR.

New trees have been installed as construction on Epcot’s CommuniCore Plaza continues
Construction on EPCOT‘s CommuniCore Plaza continues full steam ahead, with the ‘Fall 2023’ opening date quickly approaching. While much of the work is occurring behind construction walls, new trees have been installed providing identifiable evidence of continued work on the area.
The newly installed trees are clearly evident above the construction walls, along with the recently installed verticle light standards.
When completed CommuniCore Plaza will be located adjacent to CommuniCore Hall and Dreamers Point. Dreamers Point will house the Walt Disney Dreamers Statue, CommuniCore Hall will be a hub for EPCOT festivals (as well as a more permanent home for character Meet and Greets), and CommuniCore Plaza will connect the entire area with beautiful gardens and tree-lined streets.

Brightline passengers will be able to easily book travel via Mears to their final destination
The recent Brightline expansion has made traveling to the central Florida area easier than ever. For guests traveling to a central Florida theme park, however, transportation from the Brightline station to the park requires additional transportation. Mears has announced a new partnership with Brightline that will make this last step easier than ever!
According to a post on the Mears Facebook page, “Mears is excited to announce our new partnership with Brightline. Brightline users will be able to book either Mears’ Private Luxury Rides to any location or passage on our Shared Connect Shuttles to specific Orlando Locations!”

We now have an up-close look at the new EPCOT Ride Share Loop
We recently reported that construction of the new EPCOT Ride Share Loop has been completed and the loop is officially open and in use. We now have updated photos of the loop area to share with you!
The ride-share loop is located adjacent to the HeiHei parking lots. The new loop area includes signs directing guests to the ride-share area, signage for rideshare drivers to enter the loop, and as signs directing guests to the park entrance.
The rideshare loop is used by Uber and Lyft, however, the Minivans continue to drop guests off near the EPCOT resort bus stops (which provides a closer walk to the park entrance than the rideshare loop).
