Disney recently shared some additional details for the upcoming Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Fans of Disney’s holiday offerings are eagerly awaiting the launch of the newest Christmas Party: Disney’s Jollywood Nights. 2023 marks the first offering of the event, which will be hosted at Hollywood Studios, which promises a night of glitz and glam fitting a park themed after the golden age of Hollywood. We now have even more details about the event thanks to information that was shared by Disney on Good Morning American on October 16th!

Fans of The Muppets, rejoice! The teaser showcased captivating artwork for a musical variety show headlined by none other than Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy. The Theater of the Stars will surely be abuzz with Muppety antics and beloved songs.

Another standout from the teaser was the unveiling of new, event-exclusive outfits for Mickey and friends. Drawing inspiration from old Hollywood glitz and glamour, these outfits promise to be a visual treat for attendees.

Winnie the Pooh meet and greet Returns to Epcot in United Kingdom Pavilion

Everyone’s favorite cuddly friend from the Hundred Acre Wood returns for a sweet-as-honey meet and greet inside of Christopher Robin’s room! You can find the adorable Pooh Bear nestled in his cozy corner of the United Kingdom’s Pavilion at Epcot’s World Showcase Pavilion. Grab your cameras and head on over for photos and hugs from this sweet and Silly ‘Ol Bear!

Post-COVID-19, guests were lucky to catch a glimpse of Pooh wandering the gardens near the Imagination Pavilion. We’re thrilled to now be able to find our friend Pooh in his new location since pre-pandemic days.

All-New Trailer for Disney’s The Santa Clauses Out Now

Today, Disney+ revealed the all-new trailer and poster for season two of the Disney+ Original series “The Santa Clauses.” The brand-new trailer previews the continuing story of Scott Calvin (Tim Allen) and his family as they return to the North Pole for more adventures when the season premieres with two episodes on Wednesday, November 8, followed by new episodes weekly.

In addition to Allen, who will executive produce and reprise the beloved role of Santa/Scott Calvin, season two stars Elizabeth Mitchell as Mrs. Claus/Carol, Austin Kane as Cal Calvin Claus, Elizabeth Allen-Dick as Sandra Calvin Claus, Devin Bright as Noel, Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias as Kris Kringle and Eric Stonestreet as Magnus Antas, The Mad Santa.

Alongside Allen, award-winning Jack Burditt (“30 Rock,” “Modern Family,” “Frasier,” “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”) will continue as executive producer and showrunner. Kevin Hench (“Last Man Standing”), Richard Baker (“Last Man Standing,” “The Santa Clause,” “The Santa Clause 2”) and Rick Messina (“Last Man Standing,” “The Santa Clause,” “The Santa Clause 2”) will serve as executive producers along with Jason Winer and Jon Radler for Small Dog Picture Company.

Season 2 of The Santa Clauses is available on Disney+ starting, November 8th.

Yesterday Morning Disney Cast Members Celebrated the Official Opening of Journey of Water inspired by Moana in EPCOT!

While Journey of Water soft opened a few weeks ago yesterday was the official opening of this Moana-themed attraction.

As The Walt Disney Company celebrates its 100th anniversary, Walt Disney World Resort is commemorating the milestone with the splashing debut of Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana.

Guests can explore a beautifully landscaped walking trail with fun and surprises around each turn, as they engage with water in magical ways like Moana did with the ocean – from a simple greeting to a high five or even a crashing wave of fun. This lush and tropical path is the first Disney Parks experience to immerse guests into a world inspired by the hit Walt Disney Animation Studios film, “Moana.”

The new walkthrough attraction is the latest addition to the expansive vacation destination in Central Florida, continuing a wave of growth and investment across the resort. As recently announced at Destination D23, an unprecedented number of projects are underway, and Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana is the newest chapter in that expansion. Debuting as part of a multi-year transformation of EPCOT, the attraction showcases the innovation and creativity that Disney is known for, further demonstrating the company’s commitment to incredible storytelling through immersive experiences.

In addition to experiencing this new attraction, guests will have the opportunity to meet Moana in a new area of World Nature. Nestled across from Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana, this will be the perfect place for fans to snap a few photos, share in a hug or even recount their important learnings about water conservation with the Wayfinder herself.

From the youngest little ones to the generations who are young at heart, every member of the family can enjoy this fun, lively, and interactive experience as they discover ways to befriend, protect, and cherish the water that connects and gives life to the world. Just like Moana’s friend the ocean, and water here have a playful personality of their own, and guests can join in the fun by making music with “rain harps,” waving to jumping streams, and creating a roaring ocean wave.

As guests walk along the trail, they will come across Te Fiti, who is seen protecting water as it travels through the water cycle. Guests might even discover beloved characters carved in the rock formations like Heihei, Pua, and of course, Moana.

Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana joins new experiences such as Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Connections Café & Eatery and more as part of the EPCOT transformation. Additional upcoming transformative elements include the debut of a new Walt Disney statue called “Walt the Dreamer” at Dreamers Point and the World Celebration gardens with plenty of lush green space to enjoy.

The opening of Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana coincides with the 100-year anniversary of The Walt Disney Company on Oct. 16. During this centennial celebration, Disney will have special activations, tie-ins, and moments that will highlight what has made this company so special to so many over the last 100 years. EPCOT is the heart of the celebration at Walt Disney World now through Dec. 31, 2023. In addition to the new attraction’s debut, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will don their platinum-best attire to greet guests in the Imagination! pavilion, and Spaceship Earth will light up each night with a colorful lighting display accompanied by the Disney100 anthem. There are also four new Global Marketplaces featuring celebratory dishes and drinks.

Disney Brought Back Robin Williams’ Genie for ‘Once Upon a Studio’ without Using AI

“To create ‘Once Upon a Studio,’ Disney Animation harnessed the collective creativity of their talented team to celebrate a century of storytelling and enchantment. This animated short brings together iconic characters like Snow White, Peter Pan, and Robin Williams’ Genie, featuring a cast of 543 characters from over 85 feature-length and short films, all accomplished without the use of artificial intelligence.

Directors Dan Abraham and Trent Correy embarked on a quest to pay homage to the studio’s rich heritage. ‘Once Upon a Studio’ unfolds at the end of a typical workday at Walt Disney Animation Studios in Burbank, where the studio’s transformation into a magical place begins as Disney Legend Burny Mattinson, who dedicated 70 years to films like ‘Lady and the Tramp’ (1955) and ‘One Hundred and One Dalmatians’ (1961), bids farewell. As Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse step out of a photograph, they summon their friends to assemble for an official 100th Anniversary Studio portrait.”

The group of esteemed animators boasted heavyweight talent, with luminaries such as James Baxter, known for his work on Belle in “Beauty and the Beast,” Nik Ranieri, renowned for his contributions to “The Lion King,” and Ruben Aquino, the artist behind the ultimate rendition of Ursula in 1989. According to Abraham, “He hadn’t sketched Ursula in more than three decades, and he returned from retirement to craft Ursula for our project.”

When it came to securing the original voices, more than 40 of the original voice actors, including Jodi Benson (Ariel), Jeremy Irons (Scar), Idina Menzel (Elsa), and Kristen Bell (Anna), enthusiastically accepted the opportunity to return. Yvett Merino’s experience was straightforward. She explained that they reached out, mentioning, they were creating a short film to commemorate the 100-year milestone.

‘We would love for you to participate.’ Many of them entered the recording session with little prior information. For those who joined, they would share the project details with them through storyboards. It was a heartwarming experience for many of the talent to revisit characters they hadn’t voiced in years, and they were genuinely appreciative of being included and partaking in this special project.

From the very outset, Correy and Abraham recognized the significance of incorporating Robin Williams’ legendary genie character into their project. Simonsen and producer Merino initiated contact with Williams’ estate. Simonsen explained that they endeavored to bring them along on our creative journey, expressing our commitment to this truly special short film we were crafting. Robin’s portrayal of the genie holds immense sentimental value for countless people, and the directors earnestly desired to include him.

Dan meticulously reviewed outtakes from the original recording, identifying those precious snippets we could utilize. Subsequently, Dan returned to the estate, presenting his vision, stating, ‘This is what we aspire to achieve.’ Notably, Eric, the original animator of the genie, was also part of the project. Witnessing that collaboration come to fruition was truly heartwarming for the directors and audiences.

In “Once Upon a Studio,” Disney Animation didn’t just celebrate 100 years of magic; they also celebrated the heart, dedication, and love that goes into creating timeless stories and characters. It’s a reminder that the magic of Disney isn’t just in the stories themselves but also in the passionate and dedicated individuals who bring them to life. This animated short is a heartfelt tribute to the past, present, and future of Disney’s storytelling legacy, a legacy that continues to enchant generations of viewers and keep the magic alive.

The Walt Disney Company extended its 100th-anniversary festivities in tonight’s Monday Night Football broadcast on ABC and ESPN, concluding a day filled with global activations, events, and more. In the halftime break between the Dallas Cowboys and the Los Angeles Chargers, both networks showcased the exclusive Disney100 “Lifetime” special look.

From humble beginnings as a cartoon studio in 1923 to its preeminent position in the entertainment industry today, The Walt Disney Company proudly continues its legacy of creating world-class stories and experiences for every member of the family.

It all started with a dream—and dreams become memories that last a lifetime.

Disney’s Once Upon a Studio

Disney Animation’s all-new short film “Once Upon A Studio” made its streaming debut on Disney+ yesterday as part of Disney’s epic hundred-year anniversary celebration. The spectacular tribute to the studio’s legacy can also be seen today on Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Freeform, FX, FXX and FXM, with additional airings on Disney Junior on Oct. 18 and on Disney Channel on Oct. 22.

“Once Upon a Studio” will also play theatrically in front of the Disney100 special engagement of “Moana”—now showing in theaters through Oct. 26.

The Walt Disney Archives has once again unlocked its treasure trove, unveiling a vast array of remarkable items. Among these treasures are over 250 seldom-seen artifacts, artworks, costumes, props, and cherished memorabilia, many of which can be considered Disney’s “Crown Jewels.”

Visitors to Disney 100: The Exhibition can explore ten creatively themed galleries featuring beloved classics ranging from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) to Encanto (2021), with a special focus on the latest additions to the Disney universe, including Pixar, Star Wars, and MARVEL.

This is an opportunity for families, children, and Disney enthusiasts to come together and celebrate their enduring love for Disney’s timeless tales! Disney 100: The Exhibition is located at the London Excel in London England, and is open 7 days a week. A visit to the exhibition generally takes 50 minutes, however, guests can linger as long as they want in each room.
