The Walt Disney Company celebrated its 100th anniversary on Monday. Disney Cast Members and CEO Bob Iger celebrated with some special events and surprises.

Disney CEO Bob Iger took a leisurely stroll around the studio lot in Burbank, immersing himself in the festivities. He made delightful pit stops at the VoluntEARS activations and even had a surprise visit with employees at the main theater on the studio lot. This special visit preceded a screening of “Once Upon a Studio,” a breathtaking new original short film by Walt Disney Animation Studios that masterfully unites a century of cherished characters.
In his brief address, where he expressed gratitude to the employees, Iger reflected on Disney’s remarkable heritage of unparalleled storytelling and groundbreaking innovation. He also conveyed his profound optimism for the company’s bright future.

โItโs amazing to think that our company is 100 years old today,โ Iger said. โWhen I think about how long weโve been around Iโm reminded of the positive impact that weโve had on the world over 100 years thanks to the great creativity that this company has managed to generate for such a long period of time.โ
Iger conveyed to those present that the anniversary serves as a poignant reminder that it goes beyond creativity alone. He emphasized that it’s the individuals driving that creativity, and he extended this appreciation to everyone present.
Acknowledging his nearly half-century tenure with the company, Iger expressed his profound privilege. He stated that this extensive period had granted him an unparalleled vantage point to witness the remarkable contributions, exceptional talent, and unwavering dedication of all the individuals who have been part of this company for such an extended period.
โSo, more than anything I want to thank all of you because the companyโs ability to celebrate 100 years is due to the work of all of you,โ he said. โThank you from the bottom of my heart,โ he said in concluding his appearance. โHappy birthday to Disney on 100 years, and Iโll see you around the lot.โ
