Disney has just announced the Frozen holiday fun is coming back to Magic Kingdom via an all-new Frozen Holiday Surprise!
The all-new “Frozen Holiday Surprise” promises to be a wintry spectacle like no other. Imagine Olaf, everyone’s favorite warm-hugging snowman, teaming up with over 100 of his mischievous Snowgie siblings to adorn Cinderella Castle with whimsical holiday decorations. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg!
Adding to the celebration, Anna, Elsa, Olaf, and Kristoff will take the stage in brand-new festive outfits, each bringing their unique charm and holiday spirit to the party. Elsa, with her magical touch, will give Cinderella Castle a dazzling makeover, turning it into a luminous crystallized palace that will transform the castle into a ‘shimmering crystallized palace’. This radiant transformation will remain for all to see and admire throughout the evening!

Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and friends are wearing new outfits exclusively for this glitzy celebration – and they invite you to do the same. Art directors, show producers and designers worked together to land on just the right combination of colors and fabric for these special looks.
Delve into any old collection of ornaments from the ‘30s, ‘40s or ‘50s, and you’re sure to find an array of colorful pastels. And that’s exactly what we see here! Mint green and soft reds in sumptuous fabrics set the tone as you encounter Mickey & Friends Holiday Greetings in Animation Courtyard. A DJ will play the merriest of mash-ups, featuring a mix of smooth classics layered with modern beats. While tunes at the entrance set the tone for the evening, stroll around Echo Lake for a trip down a more recent memory lane featuring holiday music and characters from classic Disney Channel favorites, including Powerline Max, Rescue Rangers Chip ‘n’ Dale and Phineas and Ferb.
Throughout the event, revel in oodles of spectacular entertainment. At Welcome to Disney Jollywood Nights, strike your best pose for “The Gram” in front of a stunning new neon sign before joining the dance party. Disney PhotoPass photographers will be there to capture the moment, and complimentary digital downloads of your Disney PhotoPass photos captured during the event are included with the price of your ticket.**

We were finally able to try the Wilderness Lodge’s Haunted Forest Apple Mousse
The Haunted Forest Apple Mousse, available at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, is one of the resort-specific Halloween treats available at Walt Disney World this year. Since this treat is only available at Wilderness Lodge, you will need to leave the parks and head over to Roaring Fork to experience the snack. We recently tried the dessert, and have our review ready for you.
The first impression of the Haunted Forest Apple Mousse is simply wow, as it truly looks like a world of art. The dessert, which seems to have been plucked directly from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, features Green Cake with Cookies and Cream Mousse and Sour Apple Mousse.
Unfortunately, we did not find the taste of the snack to live up to its looks. The apple on top, which contains the sour apple mousse, was quite tasty. The icing on the cake, which provides aesthetic appeal, was a bit thick through the bite and had a licorice-like taste.

‘Luminous: The Symphony of Us’ has been added to the Walt Disney World Website
Luminous: The Symphony of Us, the all-new nighttime spectacular at EPCOT and replacement for Harmonious, was officially unveiled at Destination D23 back in September. Dining packages were recently added to the Disney website for the show, and we are happy to announce the show has officially been added to the Disney World website!
The website invites guests to “Feast your eyes on an all-new nighttime spectacular as it lights up the sky over World Showcase Lagoon” when logging onto the page. The calendar for the show on the website shows the first showtime as December 5, 2023, at 9:30 PM.
The webpage further describes Luminous: The Symphony of Us as a ‘Sparkling Spectacle’ in which we will ‘Delight in a dramatic show designed to bring us all together. Marvel at a dazzling pageant of fireworks, fountains, music and lights set to an original composition. New music, along with evocative selections from the Disney songbook, come together to remind us that we are more alike than we are different.’
EPCOT: Forever continues to run as an interim show at EPCOT, and is slated to continue running until Luminous: The Symphony of Us takes over.

Netflix Increases its Prices on Basic and Premium Plans
Netflix recently made significant changes to its subscription offerings in Canada, the US, and UK. In Canada, they eliminated the “Basic” tier, which costs $10 per month and provides an ad-free experience at an affordable price. However, in the US and UK, Netflix has also done away with their cheapest ad-free plan. As a result, new Netflix subscribers now face a choice between accepting ads or dealing with a substantial cost increase.
This adjustment has further widened the gap between Netflix’s ad-free and ad-supported subscription tiers, putting the onus on users to determine where their preferences lie. Furthermore, Netflix has officially raised the prices for its Premium plans and the existing Basic plans. Subscribers on the Basic plan will now pay $11.99 instead of the previous $9.99, while those on the Premium Plan will see their monthly cost increase from $19.99 to $22.99.
Following the discontinuation of the Basic plan, Netflix in the US now offers three subscription tiers. To begin, there’s the Standard with Ads plan priced at $6.99 per month. This is a lower cost compared to the former Basic plan, but it now includes advertisements. The Standard plan from Netflix is available at $15.49 per month, representing a significant price hike. Meanwhile, the Premium plan, which previously had a $20 per month price tag, will also experience a price increase, now standing at $22 per month—twice the cost of the now-discontinued Basic tier.
In light of these recent changes in Netflix’s subscription offerings, it’s becoming increasingly evident that the once-alluring advantages of cutting the cable cord are beginning to fade. While streaming services initially emerged as cost-effective alternatives, the gradual price escalation across the industry is shifting the landscape. Netflix’s decision to eliminate its Basic tier and raise prices on other plans, coupled with the introduction of ads in lower-cost tiers, highlights a broader trend across streaming platforms.

The Rocketeer celebrated its 30th anniversary last year, a film that, few would have known given the lackluster treatment of this cult classic. This Disney movie, directed by Joe Johnston, made its debut in 1991. It was set in the late 1930s in Los Angeles and revolved around the story of stunt pilot Cliff Secord, played by Billy Campbell, and his endeavors with a rocket-powered jet pack for the greater good.
Despite its potential for launching a movie franchise at the time, The Rocketeer is making a comeback in the present, according to a report from Deadline. Disney is revisiting this world with a new movie on Disney+, although it’s unclear whether it will retain the title “The Return of the Rocketeer.”
It’s a welcome sight to witness The Rocketeer’s return to the silver screen. The film’s lead actors, Campbell and Jennifer Connelly, were originally contracted for at least one sequel. However, Disney abandoned the idea of additional movies following The Rocketeer’s modest box office success. We initially caught wind of this Rocketeer reboot back in 2021, and it has remained shrouded in silence until now.
The production of the Rocketeer film will be overseen by David and Jessica Oyelowo through their Yoruba Saxon banner. Brigham Taylor will also serve as a producer, while Mortal Media takes on the role of executive producer. David Oyelowo, known for his roles in “Selma” and “The Lion Guard,” will take on the lead role as the Rocketeer in this project.

Disney Cruise Line is honoring Castaway Club members with a new display on Disney Castaway Cay! Members with 50 or more Disney Cruise Line sailings have had their name put on the display.
Guests stopping at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay, can see the new display. The Castaway Club members with 50+ sailings can find their last name listed on the display along with the words “Sailing Since” and the year of their first Disney cruise. The display is also features nautical decor.
The display can be found near the pier across from Marge’s Barges at Castaway Cay. Members who have their names displayed will also get to choose a uniquely Disney nautical icon to go along with their family name.

Universal Studios Hollywood is all set to immerse visitors in the festive spirit. From November 24, 2023, to January 1, 2024, the theme park will be transformed into a winter wonderland. The most enticing part? Every special holiday event is included in your theme park admission!
Hogsmeade™ is set to welcome visitors with its quaint village charm, enhanced by shimmering lights, festive wreaths, and garlands. As guests stroll through, they’ll be serenaded by the a cappella melodies of the Frog Choir. While there, it’s almost a tradition now to sip on a comforting warm Butterbeer™ or to indulge in holiday specialties at the Three Broomsticks™.
As night falls, the Hogwarts™ Castle is a sight to behold. The impressive “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts™ Castle” light show will illuminate the iconic structure, syncing visuals with the enchanting music from the Harry Potter film series. For those wanting a piece of this magic to take home, exclusive holiday-themed merchandise awaits.
Holiday visits to Universal require a stop in Who-ville. The Dr Suess themed area is once again ringing in the holiday season in style. The Who-Bee Doo-Wops, the newest musical sensation from this whimsical world, will be performing jolly holiday classics. In the heart of Universal Plaza, the grand 65-foot “Grinchmas” tree will proudly stand, decked out in countless ornaments and bright LED lights. The daily tree lighting event, complemented by a soft snowfall display, promises to be a visual treat.
Guests can also capture their memories with the Grinch™ and his loyal dog Max, engage in story sessions with Cindy-Lou Who, or even send out a merry postcard from the Who-ville post office. Universal CityWalk is also participating in the festivities. The area will gleam with holiday decorations, crowned by a grand 40-foot Christmas tree. Culinary delights await visitors, be it the seasonal milkshake from The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen, or the festive offerings from Voodoo Doughnut. Several outlets, including NBC Sports Grill & Brew, Jimmy Buffett’s® Margaritaville®, and VIVO Italian Kitchen, have also rolled out special holiday drinks. However, it’s essential to remember that alcoholic beverages are strictly for those aged 21 and above, and a valid ID is a must.
