Set to debut on the Disney Treasure when it embarks on its maiden voyage in December 2024, this new venue offers foolish mortals the chance to savor spirited craft cocktails amidst the company of 999 happy haunts.

This one-of-a-kind experience invites guests to delve into the next chapter of the Haunted Mansion saga, focusing on the tale of a cheerful captain who enters the ghostly realm following a disastrous dinner with his beloved fiancée. A custom musical arrangement, inspired by the attraction’s original score and crafted by composer Shruti Kumar and Walt Disney Imagineering, sets the stage for an escalating anthology of illusions, immersing guests in the mysterious lore of the Haunted Mansion.

Legendary characters from Haunted Mansion attractions at Disney Parks worldwide, along with new seafaring arrivals, will engage in mysterious socialization throughout this unique experience. Embracing the nostalgic art style of the original 1969 Disney Parks classic, the Haunted Mansion Parlor blends humor with Disney’s distinctive brand of spooky storytelling.

The design of the Haunted Mansion Parlor draws inspiration from first-class drawing rooms on classic cruise liners of the golden age, infusing elements from the original Haunted Mansion with a captivating nautical twist. From iconic purple wallpaper framed by wooden finishes to a mantel clock adorning an inviting fireplace and a distinctive purple armchair nestled in the corner, the lounge pays homage to Disney Park attractions. Guests will also encounter new ghoulish faces in a portrait gallery featuring the Disney Treasure’s own ghostly residents.

Deliciously Chilling Drinks

At the Haunted Mansion Parlor, guests will sample from a selection of ghostly cocktails
that capture the spirit of the famed theme park attraction, The Haunted Mansion.

Blood orange and sour cherry flavors will harmonize in a shimmering zero-proof
cocktail served in a specialty mug aptly titled, Sympathetic Libations.
The Ghoulish Delight will be an ube-flavored treat that everyone will be able to
enjoy. The drink, with hints of sweetness and nuttiness, will incorporate decadent
ube fudge, oat milk, and tapioca pearls in a purple concoction garnished with a
gummy eyeball and ube glitter.
A spooky twist on a classic margarita, presented to guests amidst a swirl of
flavored smoke, will be another signature drink at the Haunted Mansion Parlor.
Topped with lemon salt foam, this tequila-based cocktail will contain a secret
message, only to be revealed by black light.

Mysterious Merchandise

The new bar venue will introduce an exclusive array of haunted homewares and spooky
souvenirs to the shops onboard the Disney Treasure:

The Haunted Mansion Parlor Music Box will be a keepsake inspired by the
eerie music box that will play a melodic soundtrack inside the Haunted Mansion
Parlor. As the rumors go, this mysterious box belonged to the captain’s bride-to-
be and only open in the presence of malevolent spirits.
Honoring the memorable grandfather clock seen in the original Disney Parks
attraction, the Haunted Parlor Mantle Clock will loom over the fireplace inside
the venue, instigating mysterious happenings when it strikes 13. As a part of the
new merchandise collection, Disney Cruise Line guests will be able to bring
home their very own mantle clock, just like the one from the parlor.
Featuring the same octopus design from the bar’s entrance onboard the Disney
Treasure, the Haunted Mansion Parlor Sculpted Mug will depict an aura of
intrigue and will be accented with a variety of sea life, including a hidden Mickey
Mouse-shaped barnacle.
The Haunted Mansion Parlor Mirror will allow guests to take home a piece of
the magic, offering a ghoulish surprise to unsuspecting users when the
hitchhiking ghosts mysteriously appear.

Disney Cruise Line and the Haunted Mansion Parlor’s happy haunts are eager to
welcome foolish mortals to this spirited space on board the Disney Treasure in

Attention night owls! Prepare for the return of Disney After Hours events at Walt Disney World Resort, offering a plethora of late-night delights. The magic kicks off on Jan. 10 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, followed by Jan. 11 at Magic Kingdom Park, and Feb. 2 at EPCOT.

Imagine the happiest things you can experience during your Walt Disney World visit. I bet having extra time in the parks after closing is right at the top of your list—where you can explore one of our theme parks like never before, with reduced wait times for attractions. That’s precisely what you can expect at Disney After Hours events!

The popular separately ticketed events mean tons of Walt Disney World theme park fun. You’ll get three hours – after hours – to ride your favorite attractions, see beloved characters and refuel on unlimited, complimentary snacks!

Disney After Hours events allow a limited number of guests to enjoy Magic Kingdom Park, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT after they officially close for the day, offering shorter wait times to select attractions and character experiences. To cure your late-night cravings, you can indulge in ice cream novelties, popcorn and select beverages at a variety of locations throughout the park each event night – all included in the cost of the ticket.

After Hours Event Dates at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

These special nights will take place at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Jan. 10 through April 10, 2024. You can play in Andy’s backyard in Toy Story Land, join the resistance with Chewbacca in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and embark on a whimsical adventure aboard Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, among other favorites.

After Hours Event Dates at Magic Kingdom Park

Throughout Magic Kingdom Park, you can enjoy more than 20 attractions and experiences including the thrilling new TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Jungle Cruise on select nights starting Jan. 11 through April 8, 2024. A standby queue is planned for TRON Lightcycle / Run only during these events.

The nighttime fireworks spectacular, “Enchantment” will return exclusively to Disney After Hours events at Magic Kingdom Park – meaning on event nights, early arrivals will have the opportunity to see both “Happily Ever After” and “Enchantment”!

After-Hours Event Dates at EPCOT

Welcomed by the colorful glow of Spaceship Earth, you can delight in EPCOT at night with favorite attractions including Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Test Track, Soarin’ and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. Events at EPCOT will take place on select nights starting Feb. 2 through April 4, 2024.

Disney After Hours Event Tickets Information

Booked guests of Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green can purchase tickets starting Nov. 7, 2023, by calling 407-W-Disney. Event tickets can be purchased online by all guests starting Nov. 14.

Disney After Hours ticket prices range from $155 to $175 (plus tax) for Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. EPCOT After Hours ticket pricing ranges from $149 to $159 (plus tax). Specially priced tickets are available for Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members.

Marvel and Magic: The Gathering Announces Upcoming Marvel Release

Magic: The Gathering has previously teamed up with iconic franchises like The Lord of the Rings, Jurassic Park, Doctor Who, and Fallout, offering fans cards that immerse them in their beloved fictional universes through their Universes Beyond initiative.

However, the latest collaboration announcement seems to surpass them all. Marvel and Magic: The Gathering are joining forces to introduce Marvel’s most legendary heroes, settings, and much more into the realm of Magic cards. While the official card art and specifics remain under wraps for now, the anticipation is already building, and fans can’t help but feel the excitement.

The Marvel and Magic collaboration is described as a “multi-year, multi-set agreement,” indicating that fans can anticipate numerous Marvel-themed Magic cards in the future. The announcement also specifies that the first major Magic set featuring Marvel’s beloved characters and epic narratives will be globally released in 2025, with additional new sets designed to cater to fans across generations.

Although 2025 may seem distant, it allows ample time to encapsulate the vast Marvel universe into a single set. We’re eagerly anticipating the inclusion of obscure references and unexpected Easter eggs in these upcoming Marvel Magic cards.

One certainty is that this collaboration will be a visual marvel. Magic: The Gathering’s history of astonishing artwork should serve as an indication that these Marvel-themed sets are poised to astonish us. Your journey begins the moment you step foot (or hoof or paw) on Mane Street. This street is lined with a variety of storefronts perfect for any sized animal that might find themselves perusing the streets. You will then be led to the civic plaza, Savannah Central, exactly where Judy Hopps once found herself when embarking on her great Zootopia adventure! Savannah Central’s fun, colorful, and animated advertisements are played on the large Zootopitron screen, showcasing the energy and vitality of this modern city. Behind this is the stunning skyline of Zootopia, which was originally inspired by a variety of city skylines in the animated film. At Zootopia Central Station, a large metro train can be seen passing behind an upper-level decorative stained-glass window. The train comes and goes as it picks up and drops off animal commuters, just as it did in the film.

If you pay attention, you’ll even spot animal-inspired street modifications like “Cubs at Play” warning signs and vehicle height clearance signs to remind long-necked citizens, like giraffes, to be aware of their height when entering tunnels and underpasses, along with roads and streets that are accommodating of all animals of all sizes.

New Disney Treasure Cruise Director Ready to Take the Stage for Disney Cruise Line

The new Disney Treasure cruise director, Darren McBurney, is ready to take the stage on the newest Disney Cruise Line ship.

Cruise Directors fulfill a vital role, impacting both the crew and the enjoyment of the guests. They initiate the morning show, introduce evening entertainment, and their distinctive voice resonates across the ship, offering daily insights and must-attend events. Yet, it’s not widely known that they also oversee various teams within the entertainment department, encompassing lifeguards, youth activities, port adventures, technicians, and more.

“It’s really about the flow of the ship and everything we can do to help the team along the way,” Darren said. “It’s a strange job, but for me, it’s the perfect job.”

As a 25-year crew member with Disney Cruise Line, Darren has a long history with the fleet, but his career voyage didn’t begin quite how you might expect.

It all started with competing in a British television game show in 1995. With general knowledge and a little luck, he won a two-week holiday to Walt Disney World – his first Disney trip ever!

“I told my friends ‘I don’t know how or when, but I am going to work for that company.’ It just felt right to me,” Darren said.

He researched his options, and in late 1997, Darren heard Disney Cruise Line was hiring for an opening team – which piqued his interest.

“I knew that for the Disney Cruise Line opening team, and a brand-new venture for the company, they would be looking for experts in the field,” he explained. “Although my love was entertainment, my background was in retail, and I was lucky enough to be chosen as part of the opening team as a merchandise host.”

Keeping in mind his calling to be in entertainment, Darren volunteered for a position that wasn’t even created yet and started planning crew events. Through role shadows and dedication, he transitioned to entertainment and worked positions in port adventures, youth activities and more. Over the years he held more than 14 different positions before ultimately landing his dream role of Cruise Director.

While Disney Cruise Line celebrated 25 years this summer, the occasion was personal for Darren, having started on the Disney Magic all those years ago.

“I remember selling the car I had at the time and saying to friends, I hope I last about two years, to pay off the car loan,” Darren said. “I take it day by day, but I would have never suspected 25 years.”

For the next few months, Darren will continue to spend time on the Disney Wish as Cruise Director, while also researching logistics for potential Disney Treasure programming.

As the Disney Treasure continues to take shape, next year he will make his way to Germany to become more familiar with the Meyer Werft shipyard where he’ll assist with on site management of operations and entertainment needs and the onboarding of new crew.

“I’m really looking forward to working with the leaders and making sure that our crew members, both seasoned and newbies have a smooth and meaningful onboarding process,” Darren said. “That’s one of the things in the back of my mind, always.”

In true entertainment style, he also can’t wait to see how the stage shows will be brought to life. From the exclusive debut of “Disney The Tale of Moana” to the representation of his favorite movie, “Beauty and the Beast,” he’s looking forward to the creativity behind everything the Disney Treasure will have to offer.

Mickey and Friends Debut NEW Disney Jollywood Nights Exclusive Costumes

Mickey Mouse and friends will be wearing new exclusive outfits just for Disney Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios this holiday season. Disney Jollywood Nights is a separately ticketed event running on select nights November 11 through December 20.

Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy and Pluto are all decked out in new outfits. These new outfits are inspired by palettes of the ’30s, ’40s and 50’s. Disney shared a sneak peek at the new costumes yesterday.

Mickey sports a bright yellow-striped boater hat perched neatly between his ears, mirroring the vivid teal shade that adorns his overshirt. His ensemble is rounded out with an orange t-shirt, white pants, and stylish pink shoes. Meanwhile, Minnie dons a charming pink and green dress featuring sunny yellow buttons and delicate white accents, and she finishes her look with a cheery bow affixed to her right ear.

Goofy and Donald are both dressed in green sweaters. Goofy adds a touch of style with his ensemble, featuring orange pants, a vibrant red, white, and green scarf, and a jolly green Santa hat. On the other hand, Donald opts for a mostly red scarf and a soft pastel orange Santa hat to complete his look. Daisy looks charming in her pink sweater paired with a teal bow, while Pluto gets into the holiday spirit with red reindeer ears and a festive collar adorned with a Starlight peppermint candy ornament.

Guests will be able to meet the sensational six in Animation Courtyard during the party.

The new Great Maple Restaurant at Pixar Place Hotel will open next month! We’re excited to see what the restaurant offers. Today we got a little sneak peek at the menu.

Opening in November, Great Maple restaurant will bring its innovative menu of upscale comfort food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This modern American eatery will serve a robust selection of dishes made from scratch daily including the Cajun Shrimp & Cheddar Biscuit Benedict, Soda Pop-Braised Baby Back Ribs, Charred Cauliflower Hummus, Maple Pecan-Crusted Salmon, Market Fish, a variety of inspired salads, and my favorite, the Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Maple Bacon Doughnuts!

A few weeks after the ground-floor flagship eatery opens, more culinary delights also operated by Great Maple will open. A new grab-and-go coffee shop in the lobby called Sketch Pad Café will serve assorted pastries accompanied by a selection of coffee and tea. Marvel’s Agatha Darkhold Diaries’ Gets New Logo

Marvel enthusiasts have long known of the WandaVision spinoff series dedicated to Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness on Disney+. As a beloved character from Marvel Studios’ inaugural TV series, Agatha’s return to the small screen has generated a great deal of anticipation.

While Agatha’s series has been in development for a while, its title has undergone several changes during production. Previously referred to as Agatha: House of Harkness and Agatha: Coven of Chaos, the show has now officially adopted the name Agatha: Darkhold Diaries.

Agatha Harkness played a significant role in the Disney+ series “WandaVision,” portrayed by Kathryn Hahn. Her character’s true nature and intentions were revealed as the series progressed, making her a memorable and complex antagonist.

A snapshot shared on co-star Aubrey Plaza’s Instagram account some time ago hinted at Darkhold Diaries being the new title for the Marvel projet. However, neither the studio nor Disney+ had confirmed this information until recently. That has changed, as Disney has released the new title’s logo on the press page for the Agatha show. You can view the new logo below!

What remains to be seen is if the title changes are intentionally leaning into the Multiversal theme currently running rampant in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. All three titles are plays on “Agatha” while changes in the release order and details are always fluid, three name changes seem out of sorts for Marvel Studios.

Aubrey Plaza also shared details about the upcoming show in a sit down with The Hollywood Reporter, where the actress shared that Agatha is, “it’s the most elevated Marvel material that’s out there.”

Agatha Harkness, a character from Marvel Comics, made her first appearance in “Fantastic Four” #94 in January 1970. Created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby, Agatha Harkness is a powerful witch and a mentor to the Scarlet Witch, Wanda Maximoff. Her character has undergone significant changes and developments over the years.

Agatha Harkness first appeared as the nanny for Franklin Richards, the son of Reed and Sue Richards (Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Woman) in the “Fantastic Four” series. Her initial role was that of a caregiver and guardian.

Agatha’s character was later revealed to be a centuries-old witch with vast magical knowledge. She became a crucial figure in teaching Wanda Maximoff how to harness and control her reality-warping powers.

Agatha Harkness has had affiliations with the Avengers, having been a consultant and magical advisor to the team. Her wisdom and magical abilities often made her a valuable asset to the group.

At times, Agatha has been portrayed with ambiguous motives and has even been an antagonist. She has played a role in some significant events in the Marvel Universe, including the “Scarlet Witch” limited series where her actions had a profound impact on Wanda.

What that means is still very unclear, but fans will be able to unpack that statement when Agatha: Darkhold Diaries is released on Disney+ sometime in 2024. Currently, fans of Marvel TV can get their fix with Loki Season 2, currently airing every Thursday. Next up is “Echo”, in January 2024.

Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel is being transformed into the Pixar Place Hotel at the Disneyland Resort and we now have an opening date! The reimagined hotel will open January 30, 2024. Today Disney shared a look at the rooms and what you can expect to find at the hotel.

Favorite Pixar Stories Abound in the New Pixar Place Hotel Lobby

Pixar Place Hotel will evoke the inspiration and humor that goes into every Pixar film, while celebrating the artistic process. Showcasing early sketches to finished design, the art and decor will highlight vibrant Pixar stories, revealing some never-before-seen artwork.

When the lobby is complete, you will see even more unique art inspired by Pixar films and be greeted by the iconic Pixar Lamp balancing atop its ball, with an imaginative mobile of beloved Pixar characters floating from the bright skylight above. The mobile will depict the beginning stages of Pixar filmmaking, when animators create the characters’ designs with their most basic shapes and colors. The characters you’ll see are at the beginning of their journey, just as the guests who step into the lobby begin their own story at the Disneyland Resort!

First Look at a Reimagined Guest Room Featuring Iconic Pixar Characters

Now, let’s take a colorful peek inside one of the guest rooms! From pillows inspired by the Pixar Ball to lighting reminiscent of the Pixar Lamp, there will be whimsical nods to the iconic animation studio throughout these comfortable and contemporary accommodations. Some of the art was even created by Pixar Animation Studios artists especially for Pixar Place Hotel! The headboards will consist of concept art from a variety of Pixar features, including “The Incredibles,” “Toy Story 3” and more that are arranged in order from warm to cool colors, sharing the importance of color to the tone of a scene.

Pixar-Themed Offerings You Can Enjoy Now

If you’re ready to “dive in” to the fun now, you and your family can frolic at the hotel’s new “Finding Nemo”-themed splash pad and pool area! Recently opened for guests of Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, this rooftop oasis features Pixel Pool, which is lined with relaxing loungers, along with Nemo’s Cove pop-jet splash pad, and the not-to-miss Crush’s Surfin’ Slide, a 186-foot-long water slide inspired by the coolest sea turtle in the ocean. The adjacent play court and pool bar will open later this fall.

Near the pool, you can gather with friends on comfy couches surrounding fire pits inspired by some of Pixar’s more hotheaded characters, including Jack-Jack from Pixar’s “The Incredibles” and Anger from Pixar’s “Inside Out.”

Back in the lobby, browse through the new gift shop STOR-E — a playful take on the Pixar film name “WALL-E” — featuring Pixar-themed apparel and toys, plus more Disneyland Resort souvenirs and sundries.

Plus, a new and expanded fitness center recently opened, offering treadmills, free weights and more complimentary for hotel guests. Keep an eye out for a mural of Mike and Sulley running on a treadmill, inspired by Pixar’s “Monsters University.”

Wicked 20th Anniversary Performances and Week-Long Celebration

To celebrate its 20-year run on Broadway, the musical “Wicked” has an exciting weekend of events scheduled for the end of October. From October 27 to 31st, “Wicked” will commemorate its two decades with a series of special activities, including unique performances, a lively block party, a panel discussion with the show’s creators, and more.

“Wicked” originally graced the Gershwin Theatre stage on October 30, 2003, and it’s based on Gregory Maguire’s novel. The musical reimagines the story of the witches of Oz (first introduced in L. Frank Baum’s “The Wizard of Oz”) but explores their lives before Dorothy’s arrival. It focuses on the untold friendship between Glinda, the Good Witch, and Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West.

“Wicked” received 10 Tony Award nominations and secured wins for outstanding costume design by Susan Hilferty, scenic design by Eugene Lee, and propelled both Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth into the stratosphere where they continue defy gravity some 20 years later.

On October 27, the current cast of “Wicked” will make a special appearance on “Good Morning America” during the 8:30 a.m. ET half-hour segment. The performance will be visible to spectators outside ABC’s studio on 44th Street and Seventh Avenue.

Two days later, on October 29, “Wicked” will throw a morning block party from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the covered passageway outside the Gershwin Theatre. The festivities will include exclusive photo opportunities, music provided by DJ Mike Borowski, and more, thanks to “Wicked”‘s anniversary partners, including Hershey’s, Shake Shack, Catch ’N Cream, TodayTix, the New York City Parks Department, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, Audience Rewards, and Scenery Bags.

Later that day, the musical’s two performances will each have a thematic twist, with a “Pink Performance” at 2 p.m. and a “Green Performance” at 7 p.m. Matinee ticket holders will receive pink-themed merchandise and a card signed by the current Glinda, McKenzie Kurtz, while evening show attendees will get green-themed items and a card signed by the current Elphaba, Alyssa Fox.

All audience members at both performances will receive a special “Wicked Day” Playbill and more. Additionally, former Glinda actors will be available for photo opportunities at the “Pink Performance,” and Elphaba alumnae will be available for photos at the “Green Performance.”

On October 30, the official anniversary date of “Wicked,” the Empire State Building will illuminate the night in vibrant green. That evening, “Wicked” will stage an anniversary performance exclusively for fans and alumni of the musical, commencing at 6:30 p.m.

Finally, on October 31, the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts will host an enlightening panel discussion featuring “Wicked” book writer Winnie Holtzman, composer-lyricist Stephen Schwartz, and producer David Stone. Stay tuned for further details on this event.
