This Fourth of July, Universal Orlando Resort invites guests to immerse themselves in a spectacular celebration of Independence Day. Both Universal Studios Florida and Universal CityWalk are gearing up to offer an array of exciting entertainment options that promise to make this year’s festivities unforgettable.

The party starts at 6:15 p.m. at the Music Plaza Stage, featuring a live DJ, character meet and greets, and patriotic stilt walkers. Don’t miss the impressive pyrotechnic display over the lagoon at 10 p.m., rounding out a day filled with excitement. Earlier in the evening, guests can catch “CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular” at 9 p.m., a lagoon show celebrating iconic film scores. The park also boasts the new DreamWorks Land, offering immersive experiences with characters from Shrek, Trolls, and Kung Fu Panda.

After being closed for over four years, Agrabah Bazaar in Disney’s Magic Kingdom has reopened, but not as the merchandise hub it once was. The Bazaar has been transformed into a snack stand, offering a fresh way for guests to enjoy quick treats in a setting inspired by the colorful world of Agrabah.

The snack stand at Agrabah Bazaar features an array of snacks including cinnamon-glazed almonds, popcorn, cotton candy, various Coca-Cola beverages, bottled water, and a lineup of frozen treats.

Originally a shop, Agrabah Bazaar’s role has evolved significantly. In 2021, it served as stroller parking and additional dining space for Aloha Isle, and in 2022, it became the home to an Aladdin and Jasmine meet and greet (which is still open and available for guests).

New Skating Show Coming to Jollywood Nights in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

This winter, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is bringing a special treat to their Jollywood Nights event—a new ice skating show on Hollywood Boulevard. When the stars come out, the street will turn into a big ice rink where champion skaters from around the world will show off their skills.

The ice skating show will have performances five times during the evening at 8:15 PM, 9:15 PM, 10:20 PM, 11:15 PM, and 12:15 AM. Each show will play favorite holiday songs, bring a wonderful winter atmosphere to Jollywood Nights.

Jollywood Nights is a five-hour party that starts at 7:30 PM and goes until 12:30 AM on selected nights. Guests can come into the park as early as 6:00 PM to start the fun early. Besides the ice skating show, the event includes meeting over 20 Disney characters, as well as an array of treats and fun photo ops.

Jollywood Nights will be offered on select nights from November 9 to December 21, 2024. Special event tickets may be purchased starting July 10, 2024, however guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels can purchase tickets for dates during their stay beginning on July 2.

This holiday season, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is bringing back its beloved Jollywood Nights from November 9 to December 21, 2024. During the recent Halfway to the Holidays celebration, it was announced that Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will adopt a standby queue system during the event, replacing last year’s virtual queue.

Jollywood Nights itself is a spectacle of holiday cheer set against the glamorous backdrop of Hollywood Studios. Guests can expect a blend of seasonal entertainment, special food and drink offerings, and perhaps a sprinkle of Hollywood magic.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance Will Use Standby Queue During Jollywood Nights

The event is a ticketed affair, with ticket sales opening to the general public on July 10, 2024. However, guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels have the advantage of purchasing their tickets a bit earlier, starting July 2, 2024, for event dates during their stay.

Ahoy Mateys! The courtyard at Plaza del Sol Caribe Bazaar, the Pirates of the Caribbean gift shop in Magic Kingdom, is currently undergoing a refurbishment.

While refurbishment is underway at the Pirates of the Caribbean gift shop, construction walls currently block the view of the charming central courtyard. No more glimpses of the lush tropical plants and palm trees that once filled the space.

While details are under wraps, the refurbishment likely involves improvements to the space, perhaps with a fresh floor or a revamped planter design for even more Caribbean flair.

Tortuga Tavern, just across from Pirates, is also currently closed, and rumors whisper it might be transformed into the highly anticipated Pirates Tavern announced by Disney last year. This new hangout promises to expand the Pirates of the Caribbean lore and bring back a familiar face – Peg-Leg Pete, also known as the Barker Bird, who entertained guests outside the ride from 1973 to 2006. While Disney hasn’t officially confirmed the tavern’s location, its proximity to the ride has many buccaneers buzzing with excitement!

The Plaza Restaurant on Main Street, U.S.A. is getting a spruced-up exterior! Construction is underway, refreshing the restaurant’s facade.

Construction walls surround the Plaza Restaurant’s exterior for a refresh. Don’t let the refurbishment walls fool you! While the Plaza Restaurant gets a spiffier exterior, the delightful dining experience continues inside. Access is still available through the main entrance.

This Victorian gem on Main Street, U.S.A. offers a peaceful escape from the park’s lively atmosphere. Indulge in classic American comfort food – think juicy burgers, delicious sandwiches, and fresh salads.

Pro tip: Reservations are recommended, as seating can fill up quickly, especially during peak times. This hidden gem is a favorite for those seeking a quieter, nostalgic dining experience in the heart of Magic Kingdom.

Disney’s Friendship boat fleet welcomes another vessel sporting a fresh new look! Friendship Boat V has debuted a new color scheme.

Friendship V sports a striking new look with a dark blue hull and white trim, complemented by a refreshing green cabin topped with a yellow accent line.

Disney’s Friendship Boats offer a scenic way to travel! They navigate the World Showcase Lagoon at EPCOT, connecting various countries. You can also use them to get between EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Additionally, the Friendship Boats provide convenient access to these popular Disney destinations: Disney’s BoardWalk Villas, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Villas, Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, and Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel.
