The Germany Pavilion is introducing a whimsical new addition inspired by the enchanting gnomes of German folk tales. Step up to the Gnome Garden, where you’ll find topiary versions of these mystical creatures, larger than life and charming.
You’ll discover three round, gnome-ish topiaries perched atop green poles in this delightful garden. These aren’t your typical small garden gnomes. Instead, the topiaries feature gnome heads that are bigger than those of a human, each with its unique style. One gnome boasts hair tied off with flowers below its chin and a green pointed hat covered in moss.
The center gnome is adorned with two red hair braids peeking out from under a drooping pink hat. The third gnome impresses with a big bushy beard and a brown and green pointed hat.
The Germany Pavilion also features a miniature garden and the beloved “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” topiaries, adding to the fairy-tale atmosphere.
The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is in full bloom and runs through May 27, 2024.

Choc Walk in the Park Coming to Disneyland on July 21st
Disneyland Resort presents the annual and beloved “CHOC Walk in the Park” 5K fundraiser, returning this summer to support Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC). Serving children and families in Orange County and Southern California, CHOC is the beneficiary of this event, now in its 32nd year. This year, the walk will occur in July for the first time.
As the sun rises on Sunday, July 21, 2024, eager fundraisers will embark on their approximately three-mile journey. They’ll weave through Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, encountering exciting and enchanting surprises along the way, all before the parks open to the public.
โCHOC Walk in the Park is an extraordinary event that unites thousands of people from all over the world to help advance pediatric care, research, and education. Disneyland Resort and its cast members work tirelessly to ensure participants enjoy a memorable and magical experience. Attention, EPCOT visitors! There’s a new addition to the World Celebration Gardens that’s sure to catch your eye. A brand-new Sunglass Hut store has just opened its doors, offering a wide range of stylish sunglasses from top brands like Ray-Ban, Versace, and Prada.
The Sunglass Hut kiosk is conveniently located near the Creations Shop, making it easy for guests to stop by and browse the latest eyewear trends while exploring the park. This new store is part of the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival, adding a touch of fashion to the festival’s vibrant atmosphere.
Sunglass Hut is no stranger to Disney parks. The brand has a long-standing relationship with Disney, operating locations at Magic Kingdom, Typhoon Lagoon, and Disney Springs. This new EPCOT location is just the latest addition to Sunglass Hut’s presence in the world of Disney.
We have some great news for those of you planning a visit to Universal Studios Florida! Mel’s Drive-In Diner at Universal Studios Florida has reopened its doors after a period of refurbishment, and it’s sporting some fresh updates while keeping its classic charm.
The exterior of Mel’s Drive-In remains unchanged, so you’ll still recognize the iconic diner as you approach. However, once you step inside, you’ll notice some exciting changes. The Team Members are sporting updated uniforms, saying goodbye to the pink and blue aprons and bandanas. Instead, they’re now dressed to match the diner’s revamped look.
One of the biggest changes is the shift to primarily mobile ordering. The original register counters have been removed, making way for a more streamlined experience. There’s still one register available for guests who need assistance, but most orders will be placed and picked up at the new red counter, under a shiny new marquee. Unlike some other mobile-order restaurants at the park, like Minion Cafe and Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous, your food won’t be delivered to your table. Instead, you’ll pick it up from the counter once it’s ready.
The seating has also received an upgrade. Some benches and chairs now have a dual-toned design, and the center dining area features solid red benches with black bases. These are similar to the previous style but with a fresh twist.
The Coca-Cola Freestyle machines have been themed to match the diner’s 1950s style, adding to the nostalgic atmosphere. The back dining area has undergone a significant transformation, with yellow walls and dark benches replaced by vibrant blues and reds. But don’t worry, parts of vintage automobiles and era-appropriate records still adorn the walls, keeping that classic Mel’s vibe alive.
