To join in on the fun, simply purchase a game board and stickers from select merchandise locations, including Creations Shop, Port of Entry, and World Traveler. As you make your way around EPCOT, each time you discover a character pumpkin, place the corresponding sticker on your game board. The hunt is on, and the challenge is to see how many of these delightful pumpkins you can find!

But don’t worry—whether you find all the pumpkins or not, there’s a special treat waiting for you. Once you’ve completed your search, or even if you just want to enjoy the fun of the hunt, return your game board to Disney Traders or World Traveler for a spooky surprise. While this year’s prize hasn’t been revealed yet, last year’s participants were thrilled to receive a pumpkin-shaped sipper decorated in the style of popular Disney characters like Minnie Mouse and Stitch.

While the price for this year’s game board has not yet been confirmed, last year’s boards were priced at $9.99 so we expect a similar price point again this year.

Guests visiting Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom may once again find themselves short a classic attraction. The Walt Disney World Railroad will likely experience another extended period of downtime as significant changes are planned for the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island areas.

Starting in 2025, according to newly submitted permits, the railroad’s tracks will be positioned between the construction staging area and the active site on Tom Sawyer Island and the Rivers of America. To facilitate the movement of vehicles and materials across the tracks, the railroad is expected to be taken out of service.

This closure will likely mirror the extended downtime seen during the construction of TRON Lightcycle Run, where the railroad was closed for four years. During that time, the trains were displayed as static exhibits, first at the Main Street U.S.A. station and later at Fantasyland station, offering guests a close-up look at these historic trains even though they were not in operation.

While no official construction timelines have been confirmed for either the Cars-themed attractions or Villains Land, it is anticipated that both projects will be completed by 2030, with the Cars area expected to open first. As of now, Disney has not announced any operational changes to the Walt Disney World Railroad due to the upcoming construction, so we do not yet know if the railroad will be shuttered for an extended period or just experience intermittent construction-related closures.

Space Mountain Refurbishment Update: Reopening Date Announced

The long-awaited reopening date for Space Mountain at Disneyland Park has been revealed. The guest-favorite attraction has been closed for refurbishment.

Space Mountain at Disneyland Park will undergo a month-long refurbishment, closing its doors on August 5 and reopening on September 6. Disney confirmed the reopening date by removing the attraction from its refurbishment calendar. Guests who visited the park in June may have noticed early construction work taking place in the ride’s queue area, hinting at the upcoming closure.

Disneyland’s Space Mountain blasted off in 1977, following the successful launch of its sister attraction at Walt Disney World in 1975. Disneyland Paris joined the cosmic adventure in 1995 with De la Terre à la Lune, a Jules Verne-inspired version. This later transformed into the “Star Wars”-themed Hyperspace Mountain, though rumors of the original’s return persist. Hong Kong Disneyland also entered the Space Mountain race in 2005, but eventually adopted the Hyperspace Mountain theme as well.

Two NEW Drone Sequences are coming to Disney Electrical Sky Parade

Disneyland Paris is adding a touch of magic to its “Disney Electrical Sky Parade” with exclusive drone sequences for both the Halloween and Christmas seasons.

New concept art from Disneyland Paris offers a chilling glimpse into the park’s Halloween festivities. Sleeping Beauty Castle is dramatically reimagined with haunting projections of skeletal trees and eerie characters like an orange ghost and bats.

The Christmas-themed drone sequence will transform the sky above Sleeping Beauty Castle into a winter wonderland. Projected images of a toy drummer and gifts will create a magical atmosphere, while towering, swirling green trees and shimmering snowflakes add to the festive spectacle. The drones will also enhance the show with colorful lights, smoke effects, and pyrotechnics.

Disneyland Paris will host its Halloween Festival from October 1 to November 3, followed by Disney Enchanted Christmas from November 9 to January 6. The popular “Disney Electrical Sky Parade,” inspired by the classic Main Street Electrical Parade, debuted earlier this year and has been extended through January 6, 2025.

Disney Confirms Rivers of America Transformation for Cars Land

Disney has officially confirmed that the beloved Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island at Magic Kingdom will undergo a dramatic transformation to accommodate two new Cars themed attractions! The announcement has sent ripples through the Disney fan community, as the iconic waterway and island have been cherished staples of the park since its opening.

Imagine racing through rugged mountains, dodging geysers, and experiencing the excitement of Radiator Springs right in the heart of the Magic Kingdom! This new land will feature TWO incredible attractions: one heart-pounding adventure for thrill-seekers and another family-friendly ride for all ages.

To make way for this ambitious project, the serene waters and lush greenery will be replaced with “vast and rugged terrains” designed to immerse guests in the high-octane world of Cars. One attraction will be a thrilling rally race through mountainous landscapes, featuring thrilling drops and unexpected encounters. The other will offer a more family-friendly racing experience, catering to younger guests.

Michael Hundgen, Walt Disney World Portfolio Executive Producer at Walt Disney Imagineering, expressed enthusiasm for the project, stating, “We are thrilled to create this original Cars adventure and put our guests in the driver’s seat as we—quite literally—explore a new frontier in Frontierland.” He emphasized the importance of honoring the park’s legacy while embracing new storytelling opportunities.

While the news of this significant change is undoubtedly bittersweet for many fans, Disney has assured guests that they will have ample opportunity to experience the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island before the transformation begins next year.

While we’re excited about this new chapter, we know this change will be bittersweet for many. Walt Disney himself was all about innovation, and to me personally, this is an exciting new addition I feel Magic Kingdom needs. Be sure to make the most of the current Frontierland and create lasting memories before construction begins next year.

EPCOT’s Canada Pavilion is once again under construction, as a new permit has been filed for upcoming enhancements. The permit, which carries the typically vague description of “Install Set Elements,” has been assigned to Icarus Exhibits. This long-time Disney vendor is known for its expertise in custom theming for immersive environments, having recently contributed to projects such as TRON Lightcycle Run, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and Toy Story Land.

Despite the Canada Pavilion just completing a significant exterior refurbishment, construction walls have reappeared, signaling more changes on the horizon.
