Calling all Disney Vacation Club members! The popular MagicBand sliders are back at Walt Disney World!
These little trinkets, featuring the inscription “Disney Vacation Club MEMBER,” were a huge hit during a merchandise giveaway program earlier in 2023. Owners flocked to DVC sales locations to claim their freebies, which ranged from collectible coins to magnets and, of course, the coveted sliders.
The original turquoise sliders, released in February 2023, disappeared quickly. But fear not, DVC members! DVC News has reported the turquoise beauties are back by popular demand.
Here’s a breakdown of what you need to know:
Locations: The sliders are available at many DVC sales podiums throughout Walt Disney World. Simply inquire with a DVC cast member to see if they have any in stock.
Free While Supplies Last: These are complimentary for DVC members, but remember, they’re only available while supplies last. So don’t wait too long!
Quantity Limits: There’s typically a limit of 2 sliders per member party. They’re intended for DVC members themselves, not additional guests on your reservation.
This is a fantastic opportunity to add a touch of personalization to your MagicBand and proudly showcase your DVC membership. So what are you waiting for? Head over to a DVC sales location and snag your free sliders today!

Celebrating Anniversaries and New Releases with a Spooky Twist
This year marks the 40th anniversary of two iconic horror films: Ghostbusters and A Nightmare on Elm Street. With the recent release of “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire,” a house dedicated to the wacky paranormal exterminators seems like a slam dunk. Freddy Krueger himself might just be waiting to pull you into a terrifying dreamscape as Nightmare on Elm Street joins the spooky soiree.
A Quiet Place: Silence Never Sounded So Scary
The chilling tension of “A Quiet Place” is enough to make anyone hold their breath. With the prequel “A Quiet Place: Day One” hitting theaters in 2024, a haunted house themed around this franchise feels like a perfect fit for the scream-fest. Imagine navigating a pitch-black maze where even the slightest sound could mean a horrifying encounter!

Originals to Keep You on Your Toes
Remember, Halloween Horror Nights typically features five houses based on existing IPs and five terrifying original concepts. So while these rumors give us some great possibilities for the licensed houses, the creative minds at Universal will surely unleash some original nightmares to keep us on the edge of our seats.
We also will likely see the return of a Blumhouse event, with the Blumhouse photo ops being a big hit last year! Blumhouse, founded by Jason Blum, is the production studio behind hit horror films such as M3GAN and Five Nights at Freddy’s.

Halloween Horror Nights 33 just unveiled a new teaser! The chilling video shows a bulging door, hinting at something monstrous trying to break through (zombies, anyone?). This year’s tagline, “Fear cannot be contained,” replaces the familiar “Never Go Alone.” Could this be a clue about a zombie-themed scare zone or haunted house?
Stay Tuned for the Official Announcements!
While these rumors are exciting, it’s important to remember that nothing is confirmed until Universal makes the official announcements. In the meantime, keep an eye on the Chip and Co. website for all the latest updates on Halloween Horror Nights 33. We’ll be sure to share the chilling details as soon as they’re revealed!
