Remaining Disney After Hours Events at Magic Kingdom Now Sold Out

If you are looking to head to an After Hours event at Walt Disney World this year, you may want to book your tickets ASAP. While EPCOT and Hollywood Studios still have remaining dates, the remaining events at Magic Kingdom are now sold out!

Disney After Hours provides a unique opportunity for guests to enjoy the park with significantly reduced crowd levels, offering a more relaxed and intimate experience. Operating Hours Revealed for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Reopening in Hollywood Studios

Disney fans, get ready to rock and roll again! The popular Aerosmith-themed attraction, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, is scheduled to reopen at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on Saturday, July 27th, 2024.

According to a recent update on the My Disney Experience app, the coaster will be available for guests with Early Theme Park Entry from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM and during regular park hours from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

The attraction has been closed since January 8th for a routine refurbishment. While Disney has confirmed that the theme of the ride will remain unchanged, the extensive refurbishment has raised speculations among fans about potential enhancements or upgrades.

Adena Corporation, the contractor responsible for several Disney projects including TRON Lightcycle / Run and recent work on EPCOT, has been handling the refurbishment of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. This marks the second consecutive year of multi-month refurbishments for the attraction, with the previous one occurring in the first half of 2023.

Tomorrowland Stage Refurbishment Now Complete in the Magic Kingdom

Disney has been knocking out a ton of refurbishment projects across the park recently, including a refurb of the Tomorrowland Galactic Gateway Stage in Magic Kingdom. We are happy to report the work is seemingly complete, and we have the updated photos ready to share with you!

The photo above shows the current stage after the refurbishment, while the photo below shows what the stage looked like before the refurbishment. The painting on the stage area has been updated to better reflect the current theming of Tomorrowland, including a darker blue for the support columns.

Tomorrowland Stage Refurbishment Now Complete in the Magic Kingdom

The shutters that frame the doors have been painted a dark blue with gold trim, and the black panels on either side of the stage backing have been painted white. Overall the stage now has a more cohesive, clean look.

The booth that sits across from the stage has also been painted, giving the entire area a cohesive, modern feel.

Disney is continuing the refurbishment work on Magic Kingdom’s Prince Charming Regal Carrousel. Luckily for guests, the refurb work is being done while the ride is still in operation, allowing visitors to enjoy the classic attraction while Disney provides needed updates.

Some horses are covered and roped off to protect them while the intricate painting on the scrim that surrounds the top of the ride is updated. We also spotted some areas where the panels were seemingly removed for refurb, temporarily replaced with a cloth that has been painted to match the missing panels.

Magic Kingdom has reinstated the entrance gates to the Mirabel meet and greet area at the Fairytale Garden after a temporary replacement with rolling planters. Removed on May 23 and replaced by less thematic shrubbery, the beloved gates have now made a comeback, featuring a refined artistic detail that aligns more closely with the vibrant world of Encanto.

The gates, adorned with the “Los Madrigal” family mural, have been enhanced where they meet at the center—previously a plain pink, now painted to extend the mural seamlessly, eliminating any visual breaks when closed.

The Mirabel meet and greet continues to draw crowds, operating at various times throughout the day, typically including multiple meet and greet times from morning through late afternoon. Disney recently announced the cast members along Main Street U.S.A. in the Magic Kingdom will be receiving new outfits. The updated costumes have been rolling out in waves, and during a recent trip to the Magic Kingdom we found Cast Members at the Emporium all decked out in their new threads!

The new outfits are very eye-catching. Cast Member Shelby discussed the details in her new costume, noting the broach is worn in tribute to Lillian Disney, and the skirt features the state flowers of Missouri, Kansas, Florida, and California.

Guests visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom are in for a special treat! Talking Dug, the lovable canine from Pixar’s Up!, has arrived! He has become a real chatterbox thanks to his special translation collar. Now, Dug can interact and converse with guests as he explores Discovery Island!

Talking Dug originally debuted at the Disneyland Resort as part of the Pixar Fest celebration. Now, he has arrived at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World! Dug chats with guests as he is out for walks around Discovery Island. He is no longer meeting guests at the Wilderness Explorers Club House (though Russell still is!).

Kevin is also still roaming around in the same area throughout the day.

Review: Fantasmic! Dining Package at Newest Restaurant Rancho del Zocalo

Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante has been added as an option for the Fantasmic! dining package at Disneyland! Guests can enjoy a tasty 3-course meal for lunch or dinner along with reserved seating for one of the two showings of Fantasmic!

Reservations are required for these dining packages. Once you arrive at the restaurant, head to the check-in location and then pick up your food.

There are four entree options for adults and three for kids. Each dining package comes with an entree, drink, and dessert.

Adult Menu
Choose from an array of tasty entrees, including:

Chile Verde Riblet
Sweet and Spicy Shrimp Taco
Potato Tacos (plant-based)
Sweet and Savory Carne Asada

Each entrée is served with Radish Slaw, Cilantro-lime Rice, Korean Potato Salad, Refried Beans, Cortadillo and a fountain beverage choice.

Kid’s Menu

Pick a tasty entrée:

Kid’s Potato Taco (plant-based)
Kid’s Mac and Cheese

When we dined at Rancho del Zocalo with the Fantasmic! dining package we got the Chile Verde Riblet. The food was delicious and the serving size was great! We had plenty of food.
