Anger joins Pixar Characters at Disneyland for Pixar Fest

Get ready to see red! Anger from Inside Out is storming into Pixar Fest at the Disneyland Resort to celebrate the release of Inside Out 2!

Beginning June 14 – the same day “Inside Out 2” comes to theaters – Anger and his fiery spirit will appear at the Pixar Pier Band Shell in Disney California Adventure Park, adding even more excitement to this year’s Pixar Fest and it’s amazing parade, nighttime spectacular, themed treats and drinks, and more.

Pixar Fest, which is happening now through Aug. 4 at Disneyland Resort, is the place to be for fans of all things Pixar, especially if they have favorite characters. And there are many firsts this year.

At the Pixar Pals Playtime Party in Disneyland Park, guests can meet (for the first time at Disneyland Resort) Ember and Wade from “Elemental” and Luca and Alberto from “Luca.” Also, in Disney California Adventure Park, guests may be able to see Mr. Incredible or Elastigirl from “The Incredibles” in their retro suits (for the first time) at the Hollywood Backlot.

Of course, there are other special characters to be seen at Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park and Pixar Place Hotel during the celebration and beyond. Here are some photos of a few favorites:

Dollywood Named Favorite Amusement Park by National Amusement Park Historical Association

Dollywood theme park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, just added another “Nation’s Best” award to its collection, fresh off the heels of opening the highly anticipated Dolly Parton Experience!

The National Amusement Park Historical Association (NAPHA) recently revealed the results of their annual survey, and Dollywood fans were likely unsurprised. Dollywood was voted the favorite theme park in the country by NAPHA voters. The park’s Big Bear Mountain roller coaster, opened in 2023, was also voted the best new attraction.

NAPHA members are experienced theme park enthusiasts who’ve visited countless parks worldwide. Their votes hold weight, considering the average member has been to over 100 parks and ridden more than 340 roller coasters. In 2023, members averaged visiting 14 parks annually.

Dollywood’s dominance in the theme park industry has grown rapidly over the past decade. The park consistently wins top awards from both guests and industry insiders. Those who’ve visited understand the unparalleled quality of the Dollywood experience, a key factor behind their recent award success.

In 2023, Dollywood received five Golden Ticket Awards, including Best Park in the World and Best Guest Experience. The latter award highlights employee friendliness and overall value, areas where Dollywood shines. Dollywood was also named the #1 attraction in the world that former guests most want to revisit, and #27 on Forbes’ first-ever Top 300 Best Companies for Customer Service in 2024. That’s impressive!

For those wanting to experience Dollywood’s Flower & Food Festival, it ends on June 9th. The park offers plenty to do rain or shine, including the new “From the Heart—The Life and Music of Dolly Parton” musical and “Heidi Parton: Kin & Friends” show in The Dolly Parton Experience.

While the Flower & Food Festival is ending, Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Summer Celebration is heating up. The Gazillion Bubble Show returns, mesmerizing guests of all ages. Sweet Summer Nights Dance Party and Drone Show also returns, transforming Wildwood Grove with music, dancing, and drones creating a unique Dollywood story in the sky.

The Pines Theater features new shows this summer, Perondi’s Stunt Dog Experience and Phat Cat Swinger. The Imagination Playhouse offers classic children’s stories brought to life on stage, including “Coat of Many Colors,” “The Little Engine that Could,” and “Violet the Pilot.”

The new Theodore Elyett Collection arrived to Disney’s Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point! You can now take home a designer look of your own from the same artist behind Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse’s island outfits! The Acclaimed Bahamian fashion designer, Theodore Elyett created a uniquely Bahamian clothing line, including an ear headband full of the bright colors, patterns and straw, often seen in local art.

The first part of the apparel collection we spotted features hoodies, polos, t-shirts and hats, all in white and gray colors with the Disney’s Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point logo in teal.

The second part if a bit more colorful with artwork featuring Mickey and Minnie in their tropical best! Most of the pieces in this collection feature blue colors, perfect for a magical tropical style.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for Ice Cream! Get ready to beat the heat with Publix’s delicious new lineup of limited-edition ice cream flavors for summer 2024! What’s Next for the attraction?

In 2019, Disney announced plans for a new film titled “Wondrous China,” intended to replace “Reflections of China.” However, there have been no recent updates on when or if this new film will debut. For now, “Reflections of China” continues to enchant guests with its stunning visuals and poetic narration.

If you haven’t experienced “Reflections of China” yet, allow this temporary closure is a reminder to include it in your itinerary. The film not only showcases the beauty and diversity of China but also enriches your understanding of the country’s cultural and historical significance.

We are counting down the days to June 24th, the grand opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at the Magic Kingdom. As the ride is prepped for its big day, cast members were among the first to take a ride down the bayou.

Cast members were first up for the attraction previews, which will also include media, Annual Passholders, DVC member, and D23 members in the coming weeks. The cast members took a few moments during their previews to snap a few photos, some of which were shared by the Walt Disney World Cast and Community Facebook page.

It’s officially Pride Month, and the Magic Kingdom is celebrating in vibrant style. The Pride mural has returned to Tomorrowland in everyones favorite selfie spot!

The mural, located on the Purple Wall next to Tomorrowland Terrace, brings a splash of color and a message of inclusivity to the park. The design showcases a Mickey ear silhouette in a slightly darker shade of purple than the surrounding wall. In the center of the Mickey head, the word “Love” is painted. Arcing gracefully behind the ears is a rainbow made of the colors from the Progress Pride flag.

Disney Celebrates the Official Opening of Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea

Get ready to dive into a world of wonder! Fantasy Springs has officially opened its gates at Tokyo DisneySea! This brand new themed land brings three beloved Walt Disney Animation Studios films to life: “Frozen,” “Tangled,” and “Peter Pan.” And the magic doesn’t stop there! The all-new Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel lets you extend the fairytale right into your stay.

Fantasy Springs ignites with a dazzling premiere! Tokyo Disney Resort celebrated the grand opening with a magical event last night. Imagine an orchestra setting the mood, beloved Disney characters adding their cheer, and a breathtaking drone display themed after the new port itself. It was a truly unforgettable way to kick off this exciting expansion!

A special opening ceremony was also in order to commemorate the port’s opening, including guests Bob Iger, Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company, and Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Experiences.

Rapunzel’s Forest

The romantic boat ride “Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival” leads to the annual Lantern Festival where you can experience Rapunzel’s “best day ever” as she falls in love with Flynn Rider and visits various locations featured in the Disney Animation film “Tangled.”

Peter Pan’s Never Land

During your visit to the mysterious island of Never Land at Fantasy Springs, journey through Skull Rock for this eye-catching view of Peter Pan’s Never Land. This scenic view features the home of Captain Hook and his pirate ship, the Jolly Roger, moored in a large, sparkling lagoon.

Frozen Kingdom

The guards have opened up the gates to the kingdom of Arendelle at Tokyo DisneySea. Before you enter Arendelle Castle, immerse yourself in the world of Disney Animation’s “Frozen” with a view of the new Royal Banquet of Arendelle, Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey and Elsa’s Ice Palace sitting high on the North Mountain.
