If you have somehow not heard or seen the news, the walls are down at EPCOT and CommuniCore Plaza is officially open. Disney placed the final finishing touch marking the opening of the new area: it is now officially listed on the park map.
Disney typically does not place items on the park map until they are completed and ready for guests. Now that CommuniCore Plaza is finished and opened, the new area has been added to the park map.
It appears the end of the WallCot era of EPCOT was to be short lived, however, as Test Track is currently closed for an extended refurbishment. No word yet on if the park maps will be adjusted to account for an lengthy downtime of the attraction that will likely last several months as a completely new theme is installed.
If you’ve strolled through Adventureland at Magic Kingdom recently, you might have noticed a change: Tortuga Tavern is closed indefinitely. This quick-service restaurant, situated conveniently across from Pirates of the Caribbean, has been shuttered since at least Friday, June 7, with no reopening date in sight.
Despite the closure, guests are still welcome to walk into the dining area of Tortuga Tavern to escape the Florida sun and relax in the shade. However, signs of transformation are everywhere. The restaurant’s menus are now hidden behind panels that direct guests to Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe for food, the cash registers are covered in tarps, and black fabric has been installed on the windows to prevent guests from looking into the kitchen area.
At Destination D23 last year, Disney announced plans to bring a new Pirates of the Caribbean-themed tavern to Magic Kingdom. While we have not heard much about the tavern since that announcement, many are speculating that Tortuga Tavern is closed to allow it to be transformed into this new eatery.

Disney has upheld its tradition of celebrating Pride Month by featuring Pride Walls across all four Walt Disney World theme parks. Recently, we discovered the vibrant Pride Balloon wall in Hollywood Studios has returned.
The wall can be found on a gate between the Muppets area and Star Tours. The wall features an array of rainbow colored balloon, one with the LOVE logo featuring a sillouette of Mickey inside the letter O.
This is the same Pride Wall we saw in this area of Hollywood Studios last year. Pride Walls have also been installed in Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Animal Kingdom.

Fueled by the excitement of “Inside Out 2’s” premiere and their own love for Pixar, the cast of Disney+’s “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” descended upon Disneyland Resort for the summer’s hottest event: Pixar Fest!
Walker Scobell (Percy), Leah Sava Jeffries (Annabeth), and Aryan Simhadri (Grover Underwood) visited Disney California Adventure Park during Pixar Fest, a celebration of friendship and beyond happening throughout Disneyland Resort through August 4. And if you ever wanted to know what the trio’s favorite emotions are from the film, Walker is partial to Anger, Leah loves Joy, and Aryan is a fan of Riley’s newest emotion, Anxiety.
Leah, Aryan, and Walker couldn’t do a day at Disney California Adventure without taking a dash around Pixar Pier on the Incredicoaster! It was a thrilling start to their day before heading over to meet a duo nearby.
The timing of Pixar Fest is perfectly aligned with the release of one of the biggest movies of the summer: “Inside Out 2”! The trio got a chance to enjoy some of the animated magic IRL with iconic characters Joy & Sadness!
After spending some time with Joy & Sadness, the group was feeling all the feels. Some might say they were experiencing a bit of an…Emotional Whirlwind.

If you have an existing Magic Key (Inspire, Believe, or Enchant), you can renew it during the month before it expires. However, new sales for these tiers, along with the Imagine Key (which stopped sales in March), are currently unavailable.
The latest Magic Key sale kicked off in early March. The most affordable option, the Imagine Key, which was exclusive to Southern California residents, disappeared quickly, selling out in under nine hours. Inspire, Believe, and Enchant Keys, however, were available for a much longer stretch this time around – lasting three months – compared to past sales.
In the past, Disneyland’s Magic Key sales have been frustrating for fans. They’d wait in line for hours only to find out the passes were sold out. This recently happened again after Disneyland resumed sales in March. While prices went up in October (Inspire Key – $1,649, Believe Key – $1,249, Enchant Key – $849, Imagine Key – $499), this time some Keys, like Inspire, Believe and Enchant, were available for longer than usual, lasting three months before selling out.
