Planning To Visit Disney During Christmas? Read This Before You Plan Any Further
No matter when you plan to go, a vacation in Walt Disney will be an unforgettable experience. Christmas is an extra special time to visit Disneyland. Visiting Disney during the Christmas holidays will not only save you from the heat and humidity experienced during the summer months but will also fascinate you with the wonderful holiday decorations strung all over the park. Christmas is also the time when crowds are generally lighter than other times of the year.
A vacation in Disney World is guaranteed to be a great choice, especially if you are traveling with kids. Adults and children alike will thoroughly enjoy the wonders of the Magic Kingdom and other attractions. However, if you are confused about which Disney holiday would be best for your family, it would be a good idea to know your options first.
Here is a look at the Disney vacations you can choose from during Christmas:
The Big Grizzly Mountain roller coaster at Hong Kong Disneyland will take riders through an abandoned gold mine packed with dynamite and overrun by grizzly bears.
Set to open as early as 2012, the runaway mine train ride is part of a nearly $500-million expansion at Hong Kong Disneyland that calls for the addition of three themed lands.
Big Grizzly Mountain will serve as the centerpiece of the Grizzly Trail themed land, the Chinese park’s version of Frontierland. The new ride blends the themeing of Disneyland’s Big Thunder Mountain Railroad coaster with the setting of the Grizzly River Run water ride at Disney’s California Adventure.

Each holiday season at Disney’s Beach Club Resort in Florida, a team of pastry chefs builds a giant gingerbread carousel in the hotel lobby. Every visible part is edible — the chocolate and fondant horses, the gingerbread floor and canopy, the white chocolate figures of Mickey Mouse and his friends, sugar poinsettias — even the accents of star anise and cinnamon stick. So I found 2 interesting articles one how Disney and it’s workers are disputing over sick pay when some gets H1N1. Then the second article is the preventive measures Disney is taking to prevent H1N1 outbreaks.
Local Disney Hotel workers say swine flu or not, they can’t afford to call in sick, because they don’t receive paid sick leave. There’s a move in congress to require employers to grant paid sick leave in wake of the H1N1 pandemic. Al Naipo was at Disneyland, where workers staged a protest.
Here is how Disney is stepping up to fight Fight Against H1N1.
In an effort to halt the spread of H1N1, also known as swine flu, Walt Disney World this week installed dozens of hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the theme park, the Orlando Sentinel reported.
The gadgets also now grace Disney World’s hotel lobbies and character meet-and-greet areas.
Disney also is reminding visitors of basic health safety tips on fliers that list park hours and show times. Among the suggestions: Cover mouths while sneezing and wash hands regularly.
