The holiday spirit is jingling its way back to Disney Springs with the much-loved Santa Claus meet and greet! Starting November 8 and running through December 24, Santa will be welcoming guests in the Marketplace, right near Disney’s Pin Traders. With a cozy new home in the former Star Wars Trading Post, “Santa’s Marketplace hosted by Bauducco” promises a merry experience for the whole family.
This year, Disney is once again offering a virtual queue through the My Disney Experience app. Guests can join the queue at several times each day—9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m., and 6 p.m.—and only one person from each party needs to reserve a spot for groups of up to 10. When it’s your turn, you’ll receive a push notification with a link to a digital entry code, making it a breeze to check in for your time with Santa. The virtual queue is subject to availability, and with no standby line, hopping into the app will be the way to go!
While you wait to share your holiday wishes with Santa, Disney Springs has loads of festive fun to keep you in the holiday mood! Enjoy the Christmas Tree Stroll with Disney-themed trees around every corner, savor seasonal treats and drinks, dance along to tunes from the Santa Sleigh DJ, and even experience nightly snowfall in Town Center. Young guests can also pen their letters to the North Pole at Once Upon a Toy, adding a little extra holiday magic to their day.
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has unveiled delightful new character-themed Christmas trees in this year’s gingerbread house display, adding fresh magic to its 25-year holiday tradition. These charming tree-shaped decorations, styled after favorite Disney characters, take center stage on the gingerbread house balcony.
Front and center are trees inspired by Pluto, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Daisy, each decorated with whimsical details capturing their unique personalities. Fans of Chip and Dale will be thrilled to find trees on the front patio dedicated to the iconic duo. Chip’s tree is dressed in his fur-trimmed jacket, while Dale’s sports a tiny “Rescue Rangers” Hawaiian shirt, a nostalgic nod for longtime fans.
Fans of Winnie the Pooh will love the trees styled after Pooh, Eeyore, and Tigger. Set to officially open on November 6, the gingerbread house invites visitors to explore a display that combines classic elements with new surprises. Shingles of gingerbread, hidden Mickeys, and the 88-pound white chocolate.
Santa Claus figure maintain the beloved traditions, while the character-themed Christmas trees infuse a fresh spirit into the display. Guests visiting this year will receive a special 25th-anniversary sticker, a small keepsake from one of Disney’s sweetest holiday traditions.
Magic Kingdom Completes Holiday Transformation with Festive Toy Soldiers and Candy Canes
Just in time for the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Magic Kingdom has unveiled the final touch to its holiday décor: life-size toy soldier figures and candy cane poles in the Town Square flowerbeds.
These charming additions bring a whimsical touch to the park’s entrance, evoking the spirit of the holiday season. The toy soldiers, reminiscent of those featured in Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, stand tall in their red and white uniforms, adding a festive flair to the already enchanting atmosphere.
The figures, illuminated at night, are sure to delight guests of all ages as they enter the park. Their presence complements the existing holiday decorations, including the towering Christmas tree, garlands, wreaths, and festive lighting that adorn Main Street, U.S.A.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
With the park fully decked out for the holidays, the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is set to take place this Friday, November 8th. While tickets for the first night are sold out, some party dates remain available for those eager to experience the festive magic.
