After their extraordinary championship performances tonight, Kenneth Walker III and Sam Darnold realized a lifelong dream by shouting “We’re going to Disneyland!”

It was a memorable scene in Santa Clara, California, tonight as confetti rained down on Kenneth, Sam, and their teammates after they defeated the New England Patriots in the title game.

Moments after the final whistle, Walker and Darnold made the proclamation in front of thousands of jubilant Seahawks fans. Disney camera crews captured the excitement for our cherished Super Bowl commercial, now airing across social media and TV in English and Spanish.

Now the excitement shifts to Disneyland Resort in Southern California, which is currently celebrating 70 years of The Happiest Place on Earth. Guests can look forward to an incredible day tomorrow, Monday, February 9, as Kenneth Walker III and Sam Darnold take center stage, enjoying attractions and unforgettable moments with beloved Disney characters.

The festivities will culminate in a celebratory cavalcade down Main Street, U.S.A., at Disneyland park, during which thousands of cheering fans can catch a glimpse of the champion players.

During Sunday night’s game Walker and Darnold delivered performances worthy of the spotlight. Together they helped power Seattle to a decisive victory and cemented their place in Super Bowl history.

Walker and Darnold’s sports-fairytale-come-true continues a tradition that started with New York Giants quarterback Phil Simms in 1987. Simms was the first to deliver the iconic phrase, “I’m going to Disneyland,” blazing a path for many of football’s greatest players to follow.

Woody Makes Surprise Cameo in Levi’s Super Bowl Ad

Marking their first Super Bowl appearance in over two decades, Levi’s aired a bold new spot celebrating the “view from behind.” The commercial showcased a montage of denim-clad backsides, featuring global icons and a surprise cameo from the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the West—Toy Story’s Sheriff Woody.

Sheriff Woody’s high-fashion debut shouldn’t come as a total shock to fans; it follows a major collaboration from last fall where Levi’s, Disney, and Pixar joined forces for a 30th-anniversary Toy Story collection. This Western-inspired line added a playful touch to classic denim, featuring specialized character patches at the hem for a lineup that included Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Bullseye, Rex, and the Aliens.

Bob Iger and Josh D’Amaro Take a Walk Through Disneyland After CEO Announcement

Talk about a symbolic stroll. Bob Iger and Josh D’Amaro were spotted together at Disneyland this morning, just hours after the announcement that D’Amaro will officially become the next CEO of The Walt Disney Company. The two executives toured the park side by side, giving Disney fans a real-world passing of the torch moment right on Main Street, U.S.A.

Iger himself shared photos from the visit on social media, calling it the perfect way to celebrate D’Amaro’s appointment. D’Amaro is set to step into the CEO role following Disney’s Annual Meeting on March 18, 2026, at which point he will also be appointed to Disney’s Board of Directors. Iger, meanwhile, is not disappearing into the utilidor just yet. He will remain on as a Senior Advisor and Board member through the end of 2026, offering guidance as the company navigates its next chapter.

The timing and location of the visit feel intentionally poetic. Disneyland is where Disney leadership often makes its most symbolic appearances, and seeing the outgoing and incoming CEOs walking the park together sends a clear message of continuity. With D’Amaro’s deep parks background and Iger’s steady presence during the transition, Disney appears eager to show investors, cast members, and fans alike that this leadership change is smooth, intentional, and very much planned.

If this morning walk is any indication, the next era of Disney leadership is already in motion, one step at a time, churro carts and castle views included.

Disney Extends Grand Floridian Resort Construction Through 2027

Grand Floridian Construction Now Extended Into Early 2027 at Walt Disney World

If you were hoping the cranes and construction walls at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa would be packing up their pixie dust sooner rather than later, Disney just delivered a less-than-magical update. Construction at the flagship resort has officially been extended through early 2027, pushing past the previously announced mid-2026 completion window.

Related: Disney Updating Storybook Circus Murals at the Magic Kingdom

Disney Extends Grand Floridian Resort Construction Through

According to Disney, work will continue in select areas of the resort, including the porte cochere, meaning guests may still see or hear refurbishment activity during daytime hours and may need to take alternate walking paths while navigating the property. This new timeline quietly replaces the update Disney shared back in November 2025, and interestingly, the Grand Floridian’s official website still shows outdated language pointing to a mid-2026 finish and references the now-past 2025 holiday season gingerbread display being unavailable.

While most amenities remain open and operational, this extension confirms that the refresh is far from finished, especially in exterior and arrival areas that guests interact with right away. There is some good news sprinkled in with the construction dust. The Grand Floridian lobby reopened in October 2025 with refreshed carpeting and furniture, followed by the debut of The Perch lobby bar in November. The final major missing piece, the long-closed Garden View Tea Room, is finally set to return on March 19, ending a six-year closure that began during the COVID-19 shutdown.

Related: Can you watch the Super Bowl while at Disney World?

Disney Extends Grand Floridian Resort Construction Through

Reservations for the tea room will open on February 19, officially bringing afternoon tea back to one of Walt Disney World’s most elegant spaces. While the ongoing work may be a patience-tester for guests paying premium prices to stay at Disney’s most iconic resort, Disney appears committed to finishing the transformation rather than rushing it. For now, it looks like the Grand Floridian glow-up will be a slow sip, not a quick pour.

Joe Rohde Spent 15 Years Trying to Bring Tropical Americas to Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Former Imagineer Joe Rohde just shared a fascinating behind the scenes nugget that adds a whole new layer to the Tropical Americas land now rising at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. According to Rohde, this wasn’t a brand-new idea that suddenly appeared after DinoLand closed. It was a vision he and his team chased for 15 years, often with plans that involved completely gutting DinoLand U.S.A. to make room for a lush, culturally rich Tropical Americas expansion.

Disney Legend Joe Rohde Tried to Get Tropical Americas Expansion Built for Years

Rohde shared the story on Instagram while reflecting on DinoLand’s legacy, making it clear that while he holds deep affection for the land, Tropical Americas had long been part of the park’s creative DNA. Even though the version currently under construction at Tropical Americas was finalized after his retirement, he says it carries forward many of the same motivations his team had years ago. He also revealed that he has been invited back from time to time to consult on the project, a quiet nod to how closely the new land aligns with his original intent.

While acknowledging that the business realities around theme park development have changed, Rohde had nothing but praise for the Imagineers bringing Tropical Americas to life today. He highlighted their deep research, attention to detail, and dedication to Animal Kingdom’s core mission of authenticity and storytelling. In his words, parks exist to create memories, not just physical spaces, and while DinoLand created memories for an entire generation, Tropical Americas will create its own, even if its audience ends up being different.

Rohde ended on a note that will resonate with fans of history and culture, pointing to early models and renderings of the Maya pyramid featured in D23 presentations. If you appreciate pre-Columbian civilizations, he says, the depth and quality are already there. In other words, this land has been a long time coming, and for those who get it, it really gets it.
