Mars, AKA the red plant, has been looking a bit, well, not red lately outside the Mission: SPACE attraction at EPCOT. After years of sitting in the Florida sun, the Red planet began to take on more of a copper appearance. Disney is continuing work bringing the red planet back to life via the installation of new panels.
These updates come on the heels of an overhaul of the other planets represented outside of Mission: SPACE. The park is continuing to see widespread updates as Disney is seemingly catching up on delayed maintenance, with Canada having more construction walls errected recently, Test Track being closed for a complete overhaul, and a multi-year update of EPCOT that touched nearly every corner of the park finishing recently.

We have another update in the ever-evolving saga of what will Disney do with Restaurant Marrakesh: the former restaurant in the World Showcase’s Morocco Pavilion has become a Kidcot stop, marking the transition of the fun stop from the marketplace to the shuttered restaurant.
The Restaurant Marrakesh menu is still available on the Walt Disney World website, but is noted as ‘Temporarily Unavailable.’ The resteraunt closed during the COVID pandemic, and has not reopened. It has served as a Passholder lounge recently before being converted to a KIdcot Stop.

If you have ever spent even a little bit of time in Walt Disney World’s EPCOT, you can attest the park can get HOT in the Florida heat. The heat of the sun along with the concrete in the park combine for a hot day at the park, with little outdoor relief available. It appears Disney has heard our cries for relief loud and clear, as a new outdoor shade area has just been erected!
The area also has some yard games set up in addition to the picnic tables, making it the perfect spot to grab lunch and enjoy a few minutes of down time during your next visit to EPCOT!
Construction is continuing full-speed ahead the re-imagining of the popular Test Track attraction at Disney World’s EPCOT. The attraction closed last month for the beginning of a complete overhaul that will see a new theme inspired that is inspired by World of Motion, and during our latest visit we noticed some paneling on the ride has been removed.
These latest construction updates come on the heels of the unveiling of a new Test Track logo on the construction walls that have been erected outside of the ride. This is the first major overhaul of Test Track in 12 years, with additional permits for set installation also recently filed by Disney.
