If you have ever attempted to use the accessible parking at the Disney Transportation and Ticket Center, you are likely well aware of how limited the number of spaces are. Accessible parking has been limited to a few rows, with the number of cars that can fit in these rows much more limited when compared to the rest of the parking lot due to the need to allow for space for lift vans.
Disney is thankfully finally addressing this limited parking situation by adding additional accessible parking spaces to the lot! Accessible parking spaces were added to the Zurg lot during a recent surface refurbishment project, with this area earmarked for overflow parking once the standard Accessible spaces are not available.
These additional spaces will help ensure those who need accessible parking spots, especially those who need the extra space to operate a lift van, are able to find a spot when the visit the parks. Well done Disney!
Progress is finally coming to the DinoLand U.S.A. section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and it will result in the re-imagining of another Disney attraction. Starting this fall, the park will begin phasing out DinoLand, giving fans a last chance to experience the iconic DINOSAUR ride. Disney surprised us all during the parks portion of D23 yesterday when they revealed that not only is this project alive and well, but it is officially an active project that will open at Animal Kingdom in 2026!
Tropical Americas will take guests inside two beloved Disney IP’s: Encanto! and Indiana Jones. The Encancto! section will include the famous Madrigal Casita. For the first time ever, guests will be able to step inside the magical Casita and join the Madrigal family on a journey through their extraordinary home.
The ride begins with Antonio, who has just received his gift of communicating with animals, as his room transforms into a lush rainforest. From there, guests will explore different rooms, each filled with surprises and the chance to meet other members of the family. While waiting in line for Haunted Mansion Holiday, guests will encounter familiar elements such as the iconic pumpkin scarecrow. The spooky horseless hearse has also made a reappearance but has been moved closer to the attraction’s entrance for easier viewing.
The Haunted Mansion Holiday queue has undergone a significant transformation this year. The expanded pathway is a welcome improvement, designed to reduce congestion. The exterior boasts festive Christmas countdown decorations, but curiously, the ticker already displays “000.”

Whatโs better than one new Disney Cruise ship? How about four brand new Disney Cruise Line ships joining the fleet?
Four is the magic number! Josh DโAmaro (with a little help from musical group All-4-One) revealed that four ships will be joining Disney Cruise Lineโs ever-growing roster of award-winning ships sailing around the world. These new ships will arrive between 2027 and 2031.
Five ships are currently in the fleet, with four others already in the works. These new, four additional ships will bring the fleet to a total of 13, giving you 13 different opportunities to experience everything that Disney Cruise Line is known for. The ship names, designs, and exciting itineraries are still in development, but go ahead and start dreaming about your next sailing!
Additionally, Josh revealed new details about the Disney Treasure โ setting sail later this year! โ where guests will get to see the brand-new stage production, โDisney The Tale of Moana.โ The show will also include a giant puppet on stage.
โTe Kฤ will appear onstage as a 15-foot-tall puppet โ the largest weโve ever produced for a Disney Cruise Line show,โ Josh told the crowd. โIโve had a chance to see this in person, and it is stunning.โ

Disneyland Paris
World of Frozen, a land themed to Walt Disney Animation Studiosโ โFrozenโ will open alongside the debut of the parkโs new name, Disney Adventure World, in 2026.
A new nighttime spectacular will premier in Disneyland Paris in January 2025, featuring popular songs from Disney Animation and Pixar films told through projections on Sleeping Beauty Castle and down Main Street.
A brand-new attraction themed around Simba and the rest of the animal kingdom will soon join the expanding roster of experiences at the Disneyland Paris resort.
A new area of the park will be dedicated to the characters and stories from the film, including dining, shopping, and a chance to meet some favorite characters. Then, when youโre ready (you donโt have to wait to become a king for this one), head down to the caverns beneath Pride Rock. The new attraction will bring you alongside Simbaโs journey from cub to king โ itโs going to feel like you stepped right into the movie.

While trying to help Spider-Man protect the new tech, guests caught in the middle of the action!
First look at โReach for the Starsโ coming to Tokyo Disneyland on Sept. 20. This will be the first time Marvel Super Heroes will be making an appearance at a Tokyo Disney Resort.

New and Upgraded Interactive Shoulder Banshees Coming to Walt Disney World
A new era of immersion is coming to Pandora โ The World of Avatar at Disneyโs Animal Kingdom. At the recent D23 Expo, Disney announced that the beloved interactive shoulder Banshees are getting a major upgrade.
These new Banshees are set to revolutionize the guest experience, boasting advanced technology that surpasses their predecessors. Unlike the previous, entirely mechanical models powered by a bicycle brake-style mechanism, the upcoming Banshees will feature lifelike movements, sounds, and even bioluminescence.
According to Disney, these cutting-edge creatures will be able to โrecognize each other, react through new motion and sound animations, and feature a bioluminescent glow.โ Itโs a leap forward in bringing the enchanting world of Pandora to life!
Guests can expect to find these enhanced Banshees at the Windtraders Rookery in Pandora later this fall. While no pricing details have been released, Disney has yet to confirm whether the original Banshee models will be phased out or sold alongside the new versions.
As excitement builds for these new interactive companions, Disney also unveiled fresh details about the upcoming Avatar sequel, now titled “Avatar: The Way of Water โ Fire and Ash.” The highly anticipated film is set to hit theaters on December 19, 2025.
