Wicked Available on Home Video Starting Today with Three Hours of Bonus Content

Prepare to be spellbound! “Wicked,” the dazzling musical movie, makes its triumphant home entertainment debut this New Year’s Eve, boasting a treasure trove of exclusive extras including deleted scenes and commentary.

Following its theatrical run, the Universal Pictures film ‘Wicked,’ starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, will be available exclusively for purchase or rental on December 31, 2024, across major digital platforms. The digital release will include a singalong version, a 40-minute journey through Oz that celebrates the film’s on-screen magic, and other bonus content.

In the U.S., ‘Wicked’ will be available for purchase or rental from major digital retailers including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Fandango at Home (formerly Vudu), Comcast Xfinity, Cox, and Microsoft Movies & TV. The film will also be released on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on February 4, 2025.

The excitement surrounding Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe continues to build as construction progresses rapidly on the highly anticipated new theme park, slated to open in May 2025. Thanks to the latest aerial images from X user @bioreconstruct, we now have a stunning bird’s-eye view of the park’s progress. These photos showcase the incredible scope of the project and give fans a sneak peek at the incredible attractions and features coming to Epic Universe.

The first image highlights the entrance plaza, visible in the bottom left corner of the frame, leading directly into the Celestial Park hub. From this vantage point, you can see Super Nintendo World on the left of the entrance plaza, with its vibrant and colorful design taking shape. On the right, the How to Train Your Dragon Land is making steady progress. Further back in the image, the foreboding village of the Dark Universe land catches the eye, while the Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic dominates the upper right. Over in the How to Train Your Dragon Land, banners have been added to attractions like Dragon Racer’s Rally and Fyre Drill, enhancing the land’s theming. Meanwhile, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic now features new canopies that add to its immersive look, hinting at the magic awaiting visitors inside.

The third photo provides a closer view of the entrance plaza, which showcases the gorgeous Chronos Tower centerpiece displaying medallions representing each land within the park. Excitement is revving up as work continues on the highly anticipated refurbishment of Test Track at EPCOT. Thanks to X user @bioreconstruct, we now have a closer look at the progress being made on what Disney has dubbed “Test Track 3.0”. This complete overhaul promises to draw inspiration from both the original Test Track and its predecessor, the World of Motion, bringing a mix of nostalgia and innovation to the beloved attraction.

In the latest update, photos reveal construction on a brand-new exterior canopy. The previous canopy, which was part of Test Track 2.0, has been completely removed to make way for this larger, more expansive version. Behind the scaffolding, you can spot the supports and overhangs for the new awning, which appears to significantly outsize the previous structure. This visual change hints at the scale of the transformation Disney has planned for the attraction’s exterior.

This update follows a sneak peek provided by Walt Disney Imagineering in November, offering a glimpse of the attraction’s interior. The photos revealed scaffolding surrounding the ride track and sets, indicating that an extensive interior renovation is also underway. From these behind-the-scenes looks, it’s clear that the reimagining of Test Track is not just a surface-level update but a ground-up rethinking of the entire experience.

The reimagined attraction will once again be presented by Chevrolet, maintaining its long-standing partnership with Disney. Fans can look forward to an innovative ride system and storytelling elements that harken back to the World of Motion, EPCOT’s classic ode to transportation history.

While Test Track remains closed for now, Disney has announced that the attraction is slated to reopen in late 2025. As progress continues, anticipation builds for what promises to be an incredible addition to EPCOT’s evolving lineup of attractions.

First Magic Kingdom After Hours Event of 2025 Now Sold Out

The first Disney After Hours event of 2025 at Magic Kingdom, happening on January 6th, has officially sold out. Looks like it’s going to be a popular one!

Experience the magic with significantly reduced wait times for popular rides, plus enjoy complimentary treats like ice cream, popcorn, and beverages during this exclusive late-night event.

Disney After Hours is a special ticketed event that allows guests to enjoy Magic Kingdom after it closes to the general public. Guests can enter the park as early as 7:00 PM. The event lasts for three hours beyond the park’s regular closing time.

The January 6th event kicks off the 2025 Disney After Hours season, which will also feature events at EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

While January 6 is sold out, there are still tickets available for other Magic Kingdom After Hours dates, including:
