Turner Classic Movies (TCM) has just revealed the star-studded lineup for the 2024 TCM Classic Cruise, setting sail aboard the Disney Magic from Fort Lauderdale on October 26th. This cruise will transport movie fans to the tropical paradise of Cozumel and Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay, all while celebrating the golden age of cinema.
This year’s special guests are a dream come true for classic movie enthusiasts. The legendary EGOT-winning actress, dancer, singer, and producer Rita Moreno will be gracing the seas with her incredible presence. She’s joined by the dynamic Tony Award-winning actor, performer, and choreographer Ben Vereen, who is sure to bring his signature charisma and talent to the voyage. The Lake Mary Little League team is set to celebrate its historic victory at the Little League World Series with a magical parade at Magic Kingdom Park in Walt Disney World Resort. On Thursday, August 29th, the team will proudly march down Main Street, U.S.A., in front of thousands of guests, following in the footsteps of professional sports teams who have also celebrated their major titles at Disney Parks.
This celebration marks a significant milestone, as the Lake Mary team became the first-ever team from Florida to win the Little League Baseball World Series. Their victory came in a thrilling championship game on Sunday, August 25th, where they defeated Chinese Taipei 2-1 in eight intense innings. The game, held at Howard J. Lamade Stadium in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, was a nail-biter from start to finish.
Chinese Taipei struck first, scoring in the opening inning, but the Florida team, led by the impressive pitching of starter Jacob Bibaud and reliever Lathan Norton, kept their opponents at bay for the remainder of the game. With just three outs left and trailing 1-0, Florida’s first baseman DeMarcos Mieses delivered a clutch bloop single to left field, tying the game. The decisive moment came when Hunter Alexander laid down a perfectly executed bunt in the eighth inning, allowing Florida to secure the championship.
EPCOT’s Popular ‘Forces of Nature’ Acrobatic Show Gets Extended Run
The captivating acrobatic show “Forces of Nature,” which premiered in EPCOT’s World Celebration Gardens in April 2024, has been granted an extended run into 2025. The show will continue to mesmerize audiences with its displays of strength, grace, and agility through March 2025.
Visitors to EPCOT can catch the show in Inspiration Garden, located closest to World Nature. The schedule remains unchanged, with six shows offered daily from 10:15 am onwards, exclusively on Saturdays through Wednesdays.
This extension comes as welcome news for those who have yet to experience the awe-inspiring performances or wish to revisit this remarkable showcase of human artistry and athleticism.
Royal Caribbean Announces Fourth Icon Class Ship, Launching in 2027
Royal Caribbean Group is expanding its Icon Class fleet with a fourth ship, scheduled to join Royal Caribbean International in 2027. The agreement with Finnish shipyard Meyer Turku also provides options for two additional Icon Class vessels.
“Building on the incredible momentum and market response to the launch of Icon of the Seas and the excitement for its sister ship, Star of the Seas, coming in 2025, we’re thrilled to join with Meyer Turku once again to expand our roster of Icon Class ships and continue our future growth plans,” said Jason Liberty, president and CEO, Royal Caribbean Group. “Since its debut, Icon has changed the game in vacation experiences and exceeded our expectations in both guest satisfaction and financial performance.”

The anticipation for Royal Caribbean Group’s newbuild pipeline remains high, with seven new ships on order and two shipyard options. This year alone, the company has introduced four industry-leading ships, including Royal Caribbean International’s Icon of the Seas and Utopia of the Seas, Silversea’s Silver Ray, and TUI Cruises’ Mein Schiff 7. This latest order follows the recent announcement of a seventh Oasis Class ship, set to debut for Royal Caribbean International in 2028.

Disney After Hours is returning to Walt Disney World Resort in 2025, offering guests the chance to experience the magic of the parks in a whole new way. This exclusive event lets visitors explore Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT long after the sun has set and the parks have officially closed for the day. Event Highlights: The fun begins as early as 7 p.m., with event times extending three hours beyond the parks’ closing times.
