Few would guess it, but hippos are incredibly fast on land! And believe it or not, these gentle giants can devour an entire watermelon in a single bite. When she’s not indulging in her favorite treats, Viviana enjoys leisurely dips in her pools and cherishes quality time with her best hippo friends: Tuma, Tequila, and Ramona.

Construction Walls Have Been Erected at the Main Street U.S.A. Train Station in Magic Kingdom
Construction walls have been erected around the central staircases of the Main Street U.S.A. Train Station in Magic Kingdom. The walls, adorned with holiday garlands and bows, block the main entrance beneath the balcony, but the adjacent staircases remain open for guest access. This temporary closure is likely part of ongoing refurbishment work, as crews have been seen painting in nearby areas around City Hall and the Main Street hub.
Tan-colored tarps are visible behind the construction walls, covering the stairwells that lead to the top floor of the station. At the top of the stairs, cinder blocks and wooden slats hint at the work being done to maintain and refresh this iconic location. Despite the barriers, benches and the vintage decor within the station remain accessible, and guests can still enjoy uninterrupted views of Main Street U.S.A.
Access to the Walt Disney World Railroad remains unaffected, as guests can reach the train’s queue line by walking behind the construction walls. While no timeline for completion has been announced, the enhancements are sure to preserve the charm and functionality of the station for years to come.

Visitors to Magic Kingdom might notice a significant change on Main Street, U.S.A., as construction walls have gone up inside the iconic Emporium shop. The impacted area is located near Casey’s Corner, reducing the space available for shopping and disrupting one of the park’s most beloved shortcuts.
This closure has disrupted a well-known pathway often used to avoid Main Street crowds during busy times. Guests navigating the park may experience slight delays as they adjust to alternate routes. Despite the construction, the Emporium remains open with a reduced merchandise selection, offering apparel, plush toys, pins, and more.
Disney has not yet provided details on the nature of the refurbishment or when the walls will come down, but enhancements to such a central location often promise a more magical experience in the future. For now, visitors are encouraged to plan alternate routes and enjoy the rest of the park’s Main Street charm.
