Pretty Little Liars “A” to Make First Appearance Since Reveal at D23Expo!

Fans of the hit original series “Pretty Little Liars” can meet the recently unveiled “A,” played by actress Vanessa Ray, at the Disney|ABC TV Pavilion booth, located on the show floor, on Saturday, August 15 at 6:00 PM at D23 EXPO 2015. Ray joins other ABC Family stars from the hits series “Young & Hungry,” “The Fosters,” “Switched at Birth,” “Stitchers” and “Baby Daddy” at the Ultimate Disney Fan Event, August 14-16 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.

ABC Family will also give away exclusive pin sets each day at the Disney|ABC TV Pavilion booth, from the network’s much anticipated new series “Shadowhunters” on Friday, August 14, from the network’s hit series “Pretty Little Liars” on Saturday, August 15 and from the network’s annual event 25 Days of Christmas on Sunday, August 16.

Marceline, Missouri Brings Back A Piece Of History To D23

MARCELINE, Missouri is a long drive from Disneyland in Anaheim, California. A group of Disney fans are making the drive to D23 this weekend in a 1950s car that was given to the town by non other than Walt Disney himself. Cleaned, polished and ready to go, the roadster which was part of a mini autopia – 10 little cars on an electric track that’s almost a half century old will be on display at D23.

While D23 will be packed with fans of all ages, this little group will have an edge over most of the fans. Walt Disney grew up in their little home town. Until age 9. Walt lived in Marceline. He modeled Main Street, USA after the town that includes a swimming pool, a municipal park and an Elementary School that carry the name of Walt Disney.

The Disney Museum at the old train station where the family arrived from Chicago over 100 years ago, is full of Disney memorabilia. Their goal of $500,000 to fix the cars and set up a new ride on land next to the museum is in full swing.

“This is the only ride to ever leave Disneyland, and it came to us,” said Kaye Malins, executive director of the Walt Disney Hometown Museum. “This is a one-of-a-kind story, and we want to share it with Disney fans all over the world.” Marceline, MO has started a campaign to raise funds to restore the ride for all to enjoy.

Malins will be at the Walt Disney Hometown Museum booth at D23 and said “If we do a little fundraising while we’re there — that’s great,” “But we’re doing to do this for Walt.”

So while Marceline, MO is worlds away from Disneyland as Walt himself said, “To tell the truth, more things of importance happened to me in Marceline than have happened since — or are likely to in the future.”

Disneyland Expansion Rumors Out Ahead of D23 Expo

Sparking discussion again are more rumors about Disney’s plans to incorporate Star Wars into their parks and with the D23 Expo kicking off this weekend in Anaheim everyone is waiting, with about as much patience as Anakin Skywalker, to find out what Disney has in store for us.

It looks like Disneyland maybe the first park to get some Star Wars additions according to a report from MiceChat and they had quite few details on how Disneyland might be able to expand their park and what some of the attractions might be. The Expo will undoubtedly have some exciting news about upcoming films and video games including Battlefront and Disney Infinity 3.0, but the focus for fans will surely be on park expansion.

The new Star Wars Land, according to the claims, will include multiple attractions, with a mega E Ticket ride which will use “a trackless vehicle that will break the mold when it comes to how theme park visitors interact with a ride environment.”

According to the site, Disneyland is planning a “Star Wars Land” section for the northern area of the park, taking up the area now occupied by the Festival Arena, the Circle D Ranch, Mickey’s Toontown and several rehearsal halls and office buildings. All of these structures will be moved to other places in the park and off site.

This seems to fit with what we reported last week with Disney’s purchase of two large pieces of land across the street from Disneyland, which is expected to house some backstage buildings that could make way for more land in the current backstage space at the top of the park near Toon Town.

The new Star Wars land rides and attractions are being developed in “a top secret Imagineering lab in Glendale with Imagineers signing extra confidentiality agreements because the plotlines and characters are pulled from the next three episodes in the Star Wars saga and the Lucasfilm folks understandably guard that information with their lives”, according to the report.

Exactly how accurate the rumors are will hopefully be answered this weekend at the D23 Expo, but after an agreement with Anaheim that ensures the city will not impose an entertainment tax on theme park tickets for the next 30 years was struck as long as Disney officials committed to invest at least $1 billion in the park by 2024, one thing is for sure… Change is coming and so is Star Wars.

How do you get picked as an extra for the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular?

Excellent question! The answer is that there is no definitive way to get picked. You can definitely do things to help though. First, I would suggest you get there early and get as close as possible to the front. Second, wear something bright or distinctive. The last time I was in Disney World there were two different gentlemen picked wearing colorful and unique Hawaiian-type shirts. Three, If you happen to see a Cast Member near your seat while others are filing in don’t be afraid to mention to them that you’d very much like to be picked for the show today. Lastly, when the exciting moment to choose participants comes- GO CRAZY! Jump up and down and get their attention! Either way, enjoy the show!

Could Flik and Princess Atta Return to Animal Kingdom

Hiya! Yes, I am back! Lots of gossip going around lately especially involving the characters. Most people do not like change, but sometimes it can be a good thing. I found out that recently there is a petition making the rounds to being back Flik and Princess Atta to a meet and greet and Animal Kingdom.

That being said, I have heard from a fairly reliable source that Flik is going to replace Daisy once she leaves her spot at Animal Kingdom. Flik is on the meet and greet schedule for October. Could that have something to do with the recent news about Duffy leaving? That would be cool because Flik is very popular and has not been around for a few years now.

Remember nothing is official until Disney says it is!

With the second annual Toy Box Summit kicking off yesterday in Anaheim, CA, Disney Interactive announced details of the new Toy Box features in Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition. Which is available in stores in North America on August 30, the latest addition to the franchise features a brand new Toy Box Hub, where players can learn about different types of gameplay styles available inside the Toy Box, plus new community elements designed to further engage and connect Disney Infinity fans around the world.

All figures and Power Discs from the first two games will be compatible in the enhanced Toy Box 3.0 and allows players to mix and match characters from across The Walt Disney Company like never before.

Is an Olaf Spin-off Movie coming before Frozen 2?

Rumors and speculation about a Frozen 2 have been floating down since the premiere of Frozen. One of the constant rumors that come up is the possibility of a Frozen spinoff movie about the lovable, laughable snowman, Olaf.

In a recent interview for Josh Gad’s new movie “Pixels” the conversation and questions quickly switched to the topic of our favorite snowman, Olaf. Josh who did an incredible job as the voice of Olaf in the original Frozen film, shared the following thoughts. “You know what it comes down to is John Lasseter and his brain trust who run Pixar and Disney are very sensitive to making sure it’s coming from a place of character and story.” Josh shared a good point saying the studios “… tend to take a lot of time by virtue of the fact that they want to get it right,”

As for Frozen 2, the plot possibilities range from having Anna turn into a villain due to repercussions of her frozen heart to a villain who can control and use fire against Queen Elsa. But until Disney releases the official story line we will have to continue to wonder and hope and come up with different scenarios and plots of our own imaginations. Another interesting plot possibility lurking through the rumor mill is that Queen Elsa may have a love interest in Frozen 2, which along with other topics, like the origin of Elsa’s powers and a bigger role for Olaf are yet to be seen.

The only confirmations in place are with the key cast which have confirmed their roles. Idina Menzel (Elsa), Kristen Bell (Anna), Josh Gad (Olaf) and Johnathan Groff (Kristoff) are all ready to tackle Frozen 2.

On the negative side of the rumor mill is the release date of November 21, 2018. Which makes for a long, long wait before this Entertainment Writer can sing and dance to what we know will be another amazing soundtrack and record breaking sequel. Military Mom and Son Reunited at Shamu Show

A military mom returned from service overseas and surprised her 6-year-old son in a whale-sized reunion right before his favorite show at SeaWorld Orlando this weekend.

More than 5,000 guests were part of the touching moment, which occurred minutes before the Shamu show began. According to the family, son Aiden Rodriguez, is a big fan of the show and always urges his family to stand up to honor his mother during the “Hero’s Salute” pre-show – a segment that recognizes men and women who serve in the armed forces. It was during this “Hero’s Salute” that Tech. Sgt. Aixa Rodriguez came out from behind the scenes to surprise her family.

Waves of Honor Program
