Kicking off July 15th is Star Wars Celebration in London and it seems a new Rogue One trailer is not too far far away either.
For Star Wars fans this day is a force to reckoned with. ABC will be airing an hour-long special called Secrets of the Force Awakens: A Cinematic Journey at 8 p.m. ET. That’s awesome enough by itself, but the TV listing summary for this making-of special describes a three minute long Rogue One trailer. That’s a full minute longer than the teaser released earlier this year.
Fans located outside of Europe needn’t disappointed about not being able to attend this month’s Star Wars Celebration. The three-day event, which begins July 15, will be live-streamed at StarWars.com and on YouTube. Lucasfilm’s weekly YouTube series The Star Wars Show announced the live stream with the program promising that the three-day broadcast will include celebrity guests, interviews with Star Wars fans and creators and panels from the convention, including a Rogue One: A Star Wars Story panel featuring director Gareth Edwards and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy.
Many fans expected that the Star Wars Celebration would likely bring a new Rogue One trailer, but they are also hoping for any news from Star Wars: Episode VIII and to maybe even learn the title of the new film. The film wraps up filming a week after the convention and is slated to hit theaters in December of 2017.
