All New Harambe Wildlife Parti Coming to Animal Kingdom

With all the new summer additions coming to the parks, why not make it a “parti”? Animal Kingdom will see many new additions and night activities this summer and one of them is now the Harambe Wildlife Parti.

Fill the streets of Harambe Village in Disney’s Animal Kingdom for evening of fun filled with music, entertainment and surprises! Be on the lookout during for Harambe Village Acrobats making their way through the area. Listen for the sounds of Kora Tinga Tinga serenading guests with an African harp. The Karibu Sisters will add storytelling, dance, and African party music to the mix; while Muziki- a stilt-walking music man, will engage the kids and make them official drummers of the day.

Added to the mix are the Harambe Meerkats, everyone’s favorite local soccer team, getting ready for the big game. The team is filled with skillful acrobatics, dancing feet and of course soccer moves.

Animal Kingdom may just be the place to wind down at the end of the day, Rivers of Light, Sunset Safari, and now Harambe Wildlife Parti…sounds like a great night filled with Disney magic to me!

Trail’s End Restaurant at Fort Wilderness Introduces a Weekend Brunch

Trail’s End Restaurant at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground will offer a weekend brunch beginning this Saturday, May 21st. Brunch will be served on Saturdays and Sundays from 7:30am until 2:00pm at the rate of $23 per adult and $13 per child, ages 3-9. There is no word yet on if the dining plan will be accepted during the weekend brunch, however the dining plan is already accepted for breakfast, lunch and dinner during the week.

Soarin around the World is set to release in June at Disney World and Disneyland, a leaked version of the video has shown up on Youtube from Shanghai Disneyland.

The all new film highlights California, The Sydney Opera House, The Great Wall of China and the Matterhorn in Switzerland.

Here is the almost complete version of the all new Soarin around the World.

Soarin Around the World will debut in the U.S. on June 17th.

John C. Reilly Talks About Wreck-It-Ralph 2!

Shortly after “Wreck-It-Ralph” opened in 2012 to amazing reviews and financial success, rumors of a sequel started surfacing. Nothing has ever been officially confirmed by Disney that a sequal is in the works, but us fans can dream.

In a recent interview with Collider, John C. Reilly, who voiced Ralph, talked about a “Wreck-It-Ralph 2“, saying,

“Well, we’re making another one,” adding “we’re working on it,” and that “[animated features] take a long time to make.”

This is incredibly exciting news that there could be one under development already! A sequel also seems very possible, as “Wreck-It-Ralph” grossed $189.4 million in the domestic box office, making it Walt Disney Animation Studio’s fifth highest grossing film of all time.

Rich Moore, who directed the film, also recently directed “Zootopia“, which has also been a huge success and has made $332 million domestically. I’m sure we are likely to see more Disney animated films from Rich Moore.

If you thought the animated Zooptopia animated magic shot was an exciting addition to Disney’s PhotoPass service, then here’s some more exciting news about this incredible new photo feature at Walt Disney World.

Now when you have your photo taken on Hollywood Boulevard near Celebrity 5 & 10 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or at the Partner’s Statue at Magic Kingdom, you’ll get a surprise when in your Animated magic shot, you see Minnie taking a photo of you with Mickey in it!

Also, when you have your photo taken with Cinderella at either Cinderella’s Royal Table or at her meet and greet location at Princess Fairytale Hall at Magic Kingdom, you’ll get a little more magic added to your photos when Jaq and Gus appear!

All Guests can view Animated Magic Shots in their accounts before they expire, but an active Memory Maker or Memory Maker One Day entitlement is required to download and share them online.

Iron Man Experience at Hong Kong Disneyland Begins Testing

Announced in 2013, the Iron Man Experience is a much-anticipated experience for guests at Hong Kong Disneyland. In exciting news, Hong Kong Disneyland announced today that ride system tests by their expert team of Walt Disney Imagineers are a go as construction nears completion. Once it opens, it will officially be the first Marvel ride-through attraction at a Disney Park. The new ride will be opening in Stark Expo in Tomorrowland.

The story begins when Tony Stark (aka Iron Man) decides to bring the Stark Expo to the park. Guests can visit the Expo and explore the latest and greatest innovations from Stark Industries. They’ll go aboard an Iron Wing vehicle, the latest flying transport invented by Stark Industries, and journey through Hong Kong streets and the iconic city harbor as they battle against the evil forces of Hydra alongside Iron Man.

The new Marvel-themed area will also include a cool interactive “Become Iron Man” experience, exclusive themed merchandise and an immersive, story-driven character greeting with the man himself…Iron Man.

New Disney Jamberry Collection Second Release

New Update To Disney’s FastPass+ System

Disney has quietly made another change to its FastPass+ system overnight. The window to make FastPass+ selections now opens at 7am EST rather than 12am EST the evening prior. The 30/60 day rule remains the same for non-Disney guests and guests staying on Disney property. Dining reservations will continue to be available at 6am online 180 days in advance.

The reason for the change is so technical support will be available to guests needing it over the phone beginning at 7am. This is a welcome update for some but may be a tough adjustment for the west coasters. Are you an early bird and happy about the change or a night owl that preferred making their choices late at night?

Manager at SeaWorld stole over $100,000, now facing Grand Theft charges

A former SeaWorld Orlando manager was arrested over the weekend for stealing over $100,000 by voiding park tickets and keeping the cash.

Records show Lisa Olivardia is facing charges of grand theft and fraud. According to the Orlando Sentinel she is out on $105,000 bond from an Orange Country Jail yesterday.

The report states as Supervisor she would cover for the ticket cashiers when they went on break and then she would void purchased tickets and pocket the money.

Olivardia started working for SeaWorld in 2011 and alleged behavior started back in 2013.

In a statement from SeaWorld Orlando to the Orange County sheriff’s office:

“We have extensive security measures in place including pre-employment criminal background checks and ongoing proactive measures within our parks to identify this type of activity,” SeaWorld officials wrote.
