Embroidery Adds A Whimsical Touch To Your Mickey Ears Hat

Embroidery

Embroidery adds a whimsical touch to your new Mickey Ears Hat.   There are a multitude of embroidery fonts and colors to choose from. Based on your budget, you can choose to have one or two lines embroidered to the back of your Mickey Ears.  Whether you are celebrating a wedding, a birthday, or a first visit embroidery will make your Mickey Ears uniquely yours.

Whether you are having one, or fifty, ear hats embroidered the Cast Members are very accommodating.  The Chapeau has the ability to complete larger orders within the same day.  If you have a large order you want done at MouseGear, they will complete the order and ship the ear hats to your resort; provided that you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort.  Otherwise, if you just have a couple of ears to embroider you will likely be able to return within the hour to pick them up.

Font styles add whimsy to your specialty embroidery.  You can choose from Script, Fun, or Traditional.  Through the month of October, you can choose the Fun Boo to You print if you are looking to embroider some specialty ears for Halloween or for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.  The Cast Members will assist you with choosing a font based on  your needs and what your reason is for choosing to embroider your Mickey Ears.

If you select your embroidery stitching colors at The Chapeau on Main Street USA in the Magic Kingdom you will have nine colors to choose from.  They are gold, black, dark pink, light pink, white, purple, red, light blue, and dark blue.  If you select your embroidery stitching colors at MouseGear in Epcot, you may choose from gold, black, and dark pink.  You can also choose between basic and premium embroidery.  The basic is $3.99 and includes your name.  Please note that this is just for proper names only and is only one line.  The premium option allows for 2 lines, at $7.99 each with up to 16 characters per line.  With regards to the premium, and depending on what you want written, they may not be able to fit 16 characters to each line so be prepared for that as well; particularly for the top line as the ear hats have limited space for lettering.

If you are planning a Disney Wedding, the Mickey Ear Hats are a fun way to get everyone in the spirit of the day.  You may want to have guests names embroidered on the back of a basic black Mickey Ear hat to use as name tags for guest seating for example.  And what Disney wedding would be complete without the bride and groom sporting Mickey Mouse Ears?

If you are celebrating a birthday the Mickey Ears are a fun way to recognize that special person.  There is a pair of ears that say “It’s My Birthday” on them.  If you feel like that one is just too over the top then what about a pair of Minnie or Mickey ears to celebrate your special day?

I think we can all agree that a First Visit warrants having a pair of Mickey ears embroidered.  You can mark a first visit with a pair of ears noting the year of the visit.  For a young child, the Mickey-face ears make a great option. This year is the 45th anniversary of the Magic Kingdom.  What better way to recognize a first visit during this magical year than with the 45th anniversary Mickey Ears embroidered with your name on them?

The Mickey Ears are very popular amongst the Princesses.  Young, and not so young, Princesses look fabulous in a pair of ears.  If you want to take it to the next level, then you can color coordinate the ears to your outfits.  One example would be for you to wear your Cinderella Disney-Bounding dress with a pair of Cinderella ears.

If you have a more whimsical nature, then there is sure to be a pair of Mickey ears for you.  From Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland ears, to special event ears such as the Germany ears that are fun for the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, you are sure to find something that will match your personality.

Embroidering your Mickey Mouse Ear Hat is a great way to create a lasting memory.  So be sure to put some thought into what you want to embroider on your new pair of ears, what type of font you want to display, and the color of the embroidery thread you want on there.  Choosing what to embroider on the back of your ear hat is half the fun of owning a pair of ears!

Tomorrowland’s Carousel of Progress Has a New Sign

Sign

Sign

Tomorrowland’s Carousel of Progress, in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, has recently received a new sign display at its entrance. The sleek new look is a hexagon mounted onto a larger, rounded, triangular-shaped base.  The color scheme is a metallic gray with white lettering and blue trim.  The base is a shiny dark-blue color with a light-blue trim.

We particularly like the nod to the originality of the Carousel of Progress.  The six sides of the hexagon acknowledge the six theater sections of the ride.  The white circular shape, with the hexagon in the middle, located beneath the lettering shows the shape of the interior of the ride.

There has been a number of updates in Tomorrowland this year.  There is definitely a theme of metallic blues and grays as seen in the newly painted rocks located at the entrance to Tomorrowland.  The contrast of colors, between the new Carousel of Progress sign, and the newly painted rocks, has not gone unnoticed.

DIY Pop-Up Olaf Ornament Inspired by “Frozen, A Pop-Up Adventure” Book

Olaf Ornament.

As a lover of Disney and crafts, I always loved the projects from Disney Family. One of their newest creations is by Matthew Reinhart, New York Times best-selling author, artist, and pop-up master. This ornament is inspired by Reinhart’s new book, that released recently, “Frozen, A Pop-Up AdventureDIY Pop-Up Olaf Ornament Inspired by "Frozen, A Pop-Up Adventure" Book“.

Disney Family’s video features Matthew Reinhart himself, giving us a tutorial for this adorably sweet Pop-up Olaf Ornament.

In the video Michael gives you expert step by step directions, with delightful winter music to cheer you on. This is a great project for a stormy or snowy day. One of the best parts of this craft, is that it’s able to be made with simple items around the house. This pop-up Olaf can also adorn rooms as bedside decor, festive garnish for holiday trees, or simply be used as an excuse to spend quality time together with a cup of hot chocolate.

Frozen fans will love Reinhart’s new book, which features nearly 20 intricate Frozen pop-ups! This pop-up book goes beyond simple pages that lift up, each page is filled with majestically engineered paper art. Reinhart has a fantastic array of other Pop-up books as well, including one of my persona favorites “STAR WARS: Pop-Up Guide to the GalaxyDIY Pop-Up Olaf Ornament Inspired by "Frozen, A Pop-Up Adventure" Book“.

I can’t wait to create our own Pop-up Olaf on our next stormy day! I bet they would make the cutest garland with some twine, or even tree lights over a mantle or doorway! I’m sure my little one will enjoy a winter time tuck-in with the Frozen Pop-up Adventure at bedtime too.

How would you display your DIY Pop-up Olaf Ornament?

giselle-600x450

It’s been 9 years since “Enchanted hit the screens, so it’s about time someone started talking about a sequel. Amy Adams is expected to return for the sequel, “Disenchanted”, which Disney is hoping to get before cameras in summer 2017.

Sources say “Disenchanted” is set 10 years after the first movie, with Giselle finding herself questioning her happily-ever-after life and accidentally triggering events that make everyone’s lives turn upside down in both the real world and in the animated kingdom of Andalasia.

The Time has come to bid the Main Street Electrical Parade Farewell

Main Street Electrical Parade Farewell

The time has come to bid our beloved Main Street Electrical Parade farewell. A parade that seems to be made of pixie dust, nostalgia and fairy tale dreams. The final journey through the Magic Kingdom is scheduled for Sunday October 9th, at 11 pm.

Many have delighted in this nighttime parade of glowing, spinning, gliding floats filled with beloved Disney characters and dancers for years. I remember this parade from my childhood, and even the sadness I had when the parade left. However the childhood nostalgia flooded to me when the glowing parade returned in 2010. This parade featured over 500,000 lights that twinkled and sparkled to whimsical music. Although I am sad to bid adieu to this legendary parade of nostalgia, I’m confident that Disney will bring us something spectacular in the future.

Will you miss the Main Street Electrical Parade? I know I will probably said a few tears as I bid the Main Street Electrical Parade farewell.
