Disneyland Paris hints at 25th Anniversary Celebration

Fans of Disneyland Paris may be in for a treat next week when there is to be a huge announcement made about the park, most likely involving information on a 25th anniversary celebration.

Fans and guests of the park have anxiously been awaiting the news of a 25th Anniversary Celebration ever since the announcement at the D23 Expo in 2015 that 2017 would be the year Disneyland Paris would celebrate. There have been basically no details whatsoever released about the upcoming anniversary, and how it will be celebrated, and even the logo design that had been showcased at the 2015 D23 Expo still has yet to be officially released by Disneyland Paris in an official capacity.

We hear from DLP Today that besides the fruits of the major Experience Enhancement Plan, which includes Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, new movie characters in Pirates of the Caribbean, a revitalized Big Thunder Mountain, the rumored Hyperspace Mountain and renovations and improvements to almost every other major original attraction, Disneyland Paris’ 25th Anniversary is expected to introduce a brand new daytime parade by a creative team including Steve Davison, Jodie Daly and Kevin Kidney, along with major changes to Disney Dreams! nighttime spectacular.

NFL Pro Bowl Festivities Kick-off at Walt Disney World in January

It’s official the NFL Pro Bowl will be taking place at Walt Disney World on January 29, 2017. And if that wasn’t enough for football fans to get excited about, Disney is starting to release details on some of the fantastic festivities that will be on offer. Here’s just a taste of the activities that fans visiting during the Bowl will get to enjoy:

Pro Bowl 5K Run – This race will take place the last weekend in January. Guests are asked to don their favorite football jerseys and head out on this family friendly run through Walt Disney World Resort. Runners are in for a real treat as Disney is promising entertainment and other magical surprises along the route.

NFL Action At ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex– The Complex, the official practice site of the Pro Bowl, will open its doors to visitors hoping to catch a glimpse of some of their favorite players as the prepare for the big day.

Pro Bowl Parade – Mickey and friends will be playing host to a game day parade down Main Street USA in the Magic Kingdom. But the fun doesn’t stop there. Guests are invited to pop on over to Disney Springs for additional Pro Bowl treats. Watch this space for further details.

A Hauntingly Cute Update is taking Over Disney Emoji Blitz

A new update has arrives for Disney Emoji Blitz, and it’s Halloween themed! Halloween themed emojis and items have been added to the game, as well as being able to share emojis as stickers in iMessage now.

Disney Emoji Blitz is as fast pace, match-3 game featuring more than 600 Disney and Pixar emojis and items.

Game Updates:

Players with iOS 10 can now share Disney and Pixar emojis as stickers in iMessage, accessible through the game.

Additionally, throughout October, Disney Emoji Blitz is getting into the Halloween spirit with wicked new content:

New Characters: Collect and use Hatbox Ghost and Abominable Snowman, characters inspired by attractions at Disney parks

Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort is getting in on the Halloween fun this season with festive limited-time offerings. Below are a few Halloween-inspired additions to help get you in the seasonal spirit.

New Photo Backdrops: With designs that are not-too-spooky, these props give you the perfect excuse to strike a pose. Whether you add some festive Halloween accessories or go with the status quo, your shots are sure to be social media-worthy.

Extra Entertainment: How do you choose a favorite between a zombie drum corp or a strolling piano? Luckily, you don’t have to! Keep an eye out for these music-makers during your next visit to Town Center. While you’re at it, see if you can spot the ever-popular “Living Statues,” decked out in their Halloween best, or find our resident mentalist, Meraux, who’s extra-mesmerizing this time of year.

Fall Flavors at Select Locations: Take your pick – you can indulge in seasonal sweets at Amorette’s Patisserie, D-Luxe Burger, or The Ganachery now, or, you can find a “BOO Box” of decorated cupcakes at Sprinkles, featuring a medley of vanilla milk chocolate, red velvet, black and white and caramel apple cupcakes starting October 7th. Also available this month: Cinnamon Apple Sweet Crepes at AristoCrepes, seasonal margaritas and craft brews at Dockside Margaritas, an Oktoberfest bratwurst at B.B. First Season Of Marvel’s “Daredevil” Coming to DVD For The Holidays!

Marvels hit Netflix series, “Daredevil” will be flipping onto DVD Blu-ray next month! Have you checked out this super hero charged drama yet?

Marvel’s “Daredevil” follows Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), attorney by day and vigilante by night. Blinded in an accident as a child, Murdock uses his heightened senses as Daredevil, fighting crime on the streets of New York after the sun goes down Though Murdock’s day job portrays a man who believes in the criminal justice system, his alter ego suggests otherwise, as he takes the law into his own hands to protect his Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood and the surrounding communities.

The complete first season of the Netflix Original Series “Marvel’s Daredevil” is available to own on Blu-ray on Nov. 8. Season 1 of the action-packed drama was recently honored as Best New Media TV Series at the 42nd Annual Saturn Awards hosted by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films. The home release of Season 1 will thrill fans with all 13 episodes.

•A pumpkin of their choice from our “patch.”
•A carving tool and stencil kit to help them create their own smiling or scary masterpiece
•A glow stick and tea candle for displaying their jack o’ lantern in their room
•A voucher for a 5″ x 7″ print that can be redeemed at the Disney Photo Imaging booth at Kālepa’s Store

Pumpkin Contest – Wednesday and Thursday, October 26 and 27
Be part of our spooktacular jack o’ lantern competition. You can enter your creation or just vote for your favorite. Carved pumpkins should be brought to Pau Hana to display. Ballots will be provided so Guests can make their picks from 5:00 PM Wednesday until 3:00 PM Thursday. The winner will be announced—and a special plaque awarded—during Thursday’s Halloween Hawaiian-Style Dance Party.

Halloween Hawaiian-Style Dance Party with Disney Friends – Thursday, October 27 and Monday, October 31 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM
It’s going to be a scream when the Hālāwai Lawn transforms into a frightfully fun family party. Costumes are encouraged as you join favorite Disney Characters for this spirited celebration, featuring crafts, game stations, face painting and more.

Keiki Pumpkin Decorating in Pau Hana – Saturday and Sunday, October 29 and 30 from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Little ones can get in on the Halloween fun, decorating their own pumpkins with stickers and felt-tip markers. After picking a pumpkin, each child or family group will be assigned a time when to return to Pau Hana to bring their creations to life.

Aulani Trick-or-Treating – Monday, October 31 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Guests and Disney Vacation Club Members staying at Aulani for the night can trick-or-treat at locations throughout the Resort. Pick up your “treasure” maps at the Hālāwai Lawn, then have a way-ghoul time scaring up your goodies!

New Wine Bar to open in Disney Springs in Fall 2017

Disney Springs has opened many new shopping and dining experiences for guests of the Walt Disney World Resort that guests love, and we are always excited to learn of new additions to the fabulous shopping, dining and entertainment lineup. This exciting news will make wine lovers rejoice, for Disney sent out a press release today announcing that a new Wine Bar will be added to the already exciting lineup of new and fabulous shops and restaurants:

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla., Oct. 10, 2016 – Master Sommelier George Miliotes will bring his renowned wine expertise to Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort when his new venture, Wine Bar George, opens in fall 2017. Wine Bar George will be the only Master Sommelier-led wine bar in Florida.

Miliotes is widely regarded as one of the restaurant industry’s foremost wine experts with accolades and awards from national publications including Wine Spectator. Miliotes is no stranger to Walt Disney World Resort – he was part of the opening team of California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and managed the venue from 1995 to 2002. While there, he created an award-winning wine list and one of the first 100 wines by the glass lists in the country.

“I’m excited to return to Walt Disney World Resort, and Disney Springs is the perfect place to open a wine bar and share my passion with the world,” Miliotes said. “Having the opportunity to train and hire my own team while sharing my 40-plus years of knowledge is truly incredible, and I look forward to opening our doors in the coming year.”

As one of only 230 worldwide industry professionals certified by the Court of Master Sommeliers, Miliotes will feature wines from famed growing regions both stateside and abroad at Wine Bar George. The location will offer an unparalleled wine list including more than 100 selections both by the bottle and the glass.

“With an international wine list that’s both approachable and adventurous, my hope is that Wine Bar George will cater to wine connoisseurs and novices alike,” Miliotes said. “The wine menu will feature a range of varietals, vintages and prices. Guests will be able to experience sips from acclaimed and well- known wineries as well as growing regions and wineries that are up-and-coming.”

Additionally, Wine Bar George will include a food menu featuring small plates, cheese, and charcuterie designed to complement the wine list. Offerings will feature local artisans and seasonally relevant items.

“As a native Floridian, it’s important to me to support local farms and businesses,” Miliotes said. “And with our seasonal menu, we’ll change our offerings as ingredients come into their prime. Every menu item will complement selections on our wine list, bringing guests ideal food and wine pairings and culinary explorations.”

Guests can expect their experience to include wine education, which will be served up in an approachable and fun manner. Every part of the Wine Bar George experience, including special events and visits from renowned winemakers, will educate and enlighten guests about food and wine.
