Great news! Beginning Wednesday December 21st 2016 through sometime in January 2017 Disney World Annual Passholders will have special entry lines into all 4 Walt Disney World Theme Parks.
These special entry lines should help with the crowds during the busiest time of year.
No other information has been released.
Top-billed actors will bring the beloved characters of McDuck Manor to life in the all-new animated comedy series “DuckTales,” premiering in summer 2017 on Disney XD channels around the world. Leading the quack pack on globe-trotting adventures are David Tennant as Scrooge McDuck; Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz and Bobby Moynihan as the voices of mischief-making Huey, Dewey and Louie, respectively; Beck Bennett as Launchpad McQuack; Toks Olagundoye as Mrs. Beakley; and Kate Micucci as Webby Vanderquack. Disney decided to reveal the cast was revealed today in a video of the actors singing a rendition of the original “DuckTales” theme song.
Other beloved characters slated to appear are Donald Duck, Flintheart Glomgold, Gyro Gearloose, Duckworth, Gizmoduck, Magica DeSpell, Gladstone Gander, and Ma Beagle and the Beagle Boys.
The new MagicBand 2 and MagicKeepers are coming soon to retail locations at the Walt Disney World Resort. If you haven’t heard of it yet, the MagicBand 2 is a new style of MagicBand with a removable Magic Icon that holds all the features of the original MagicBand.
On December 16, a limited edition retail MagicBand 2 that celebrates the 45th Anniversary of the “It’s a Small World” attraction will debut. It will be in a decorative box, and the MagicBand 2 will have an edition size of 2,500. Coming on December 19, Disney will introduce two retail MagicBand 2 designs for 2017. These designs incorporate the dated 2017 program artwork you will find on select merchandise items in the coming year.
An even more exciting item coming to retail will be the MagicKeepers!
The MagicKeepers are great for guests who want a different way to wear their MagicBand 2. MagicKeepers will include two Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse-themed lanyard clips and a carabiner. They will be sold without the removable icons, but the icons will fit nestled inside. There is no official release date on these, only that they will be coming soon.

Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party returns to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on Saturday, December 31, 2016. The New Year’s Eve party rendition will be held at 10:45pm and prices are $79.00 per adult (ages 10+) and $45.00 per child (ages 3-9). Tax and gratuity are included.
The dessert party will reopen on a normal schedule beginning January 1, 2017 at 6:15pm nightly. Regular pricing is $69.00 per adult and $39.00 per child, tax and gratuity included.
Reservations for Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party can be made online now or by calling (407) 939-3463. A separate admission ticket to Hollywood Studios is required and not included in the price of the dessert party.
A brand new all-access Star Wars Guided Tour at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is also available to reserve as of today for dates beginning January 2, 2017. The dessert party and reserved viewing of the nighttime fireworks event is included in the pricing of the tour.

The remaining Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Parties in the Magic Kingdom are now sold out for 2016. Typically the days leading up to Christmas sell out every year.
I had the chance to attend MVMCP last week and loved the additional food items available.
The Gingerbread Cookie and Egg Nog were my favorite and can be found at the Heritage House in Liberty Square.
If you missed out on the Christmas Party this year don’t fret… You can always do the Holidays around the World in Epcot which are FREE (with paid admission) and tons of fun!
The Star Wars Guided Tour at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is now available to book for dates beginning January 2, 2017. The brand new seven hour guided adventure will be held on Mondays and Saturdays at 1:00pm and includes the following:
The all access Star Wars Guided Tour costs $129 per person (tax & gratuity included). Reservations can be made by calling (407) 939-7529. The check-in area is next to The Great Movie Ride inside Hollywood Studios park 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour.
The entire price of the tour is forfeited for no-shows or cancellations within two days of the reservation. Separate admission to Disney’s Hollywood Studios is required and not included in the cost of the tour. Guests under age 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult and tour itinerary, content, duration and availability are subject to change without notice.

After a long day at the parks, sometimes you just want a good glass of wine or a beer with your evening meal. However, you’re out of luck if you’re spending your day at Magic Kingdom park at Walt Disney World. Currently the only place to find alcohol in the park is at Be our Guest, where you can purchase beer and wine at the dinner service only. Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios already offer alcohol not only at their restaurants, but at other locations throughout those parks as well, so Magic Kingdom has always stood alone as what guests refer to as a “dry” park.
However, we hear from Behind the Thrills that there is a very good possibility that Wine and Champagne may be coming to sit down restaurants at Magic Kingdom starting as early as next week, just in time for the Christmas week rush! Beer would likely be arriving after the new year, and The Crystal Palace apparently will not be included in the initial introduction of wine and champagne.
For now this is all rumor and speculation based on Cast Member accounts that alcohol training has been happening, but we will be sure to keep you posted if/when it becomes official!

A new convenience is being added to the All Star Music and All Star Movies Resorts for guests.
We hear the food court pizza kiosks at those resorts are now serving breakfast.
World Premiere Express at All Star Movies will serve breakfast pastries and donuts from 7:30-10:00am, then offer hot and ready pizza from 7:00-10:00pm. At Intermission Express in the food court at All Star Music, breakfast sandwiches will be available from 8:00-10:30am; hot and ready pizza, hot chocolate, and gingerbread muffins will be served from 7:00-10:00pm.
Beverages will be available at both locations.

“Growing Up Wild” is the newest addition for the DisneyNature series. I grew up watching Disney nature programs, then called ‘Walt Disney True-Life Adventures’ always enthralling and always educational. This new documentary is even better than what I remember. With todays technology and Disney storytelling, I’m not surprised.
This documentary follows 5 animal babies from around the world. Following their growth as they tackle life’s new adventures. The story trails these youngsters while they get guidance from wise family members, each must figure out how and where to find food, while learning to recognize the very real threat of danger. From their first steps of exploring their world to their final steps into independence this film captures it all.
While watching the documentary, available on Disney Movies Anywhere, I really felt for the well being of these little guys (sometimes even talking to the TV). From all over the globe we follow bears, monkeys and big cats. In the vein of the ‘circle of life’ it shows everything that can happen in the wild – so if you plan on having your children watch it, some of these animals are carnivores and they do find food – and it’s not takeout.
I highly recommend this series from DisneyNature. It’s informative, educational and beautiful. Good storytelling from the best place that tells stories. Check out Disney Movies Anywhere and watch it with your family now.
We’re huge fans of the LEGO Star Wars movies in our home. So when we got the chance to review LEGO Star Wars The Freemaker Adventures Complete First Season we were ecstatic. Little did I know it would become my family’s favorite edition of LEGO Star Wars.
The LEGO Star Wars The Freemaker Adventures takes place between The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi, and focuses on Rowan Freemaker, his brother and his sister. The Freemakers are a family of salvagers who explore the galaxy in search of parts and wares to repair, and sell. When we meet Rowan and his siblings our new LEGO hero stumbles upon a newly discovered FORCE ability and a mysterious Kyber Saber Crystal. He also discovers a woman named Naare who claims to be one of the last Jedi, but is more than she seems.
Along the way the Freemakers meet an incredible cast of guest stars, including Maz Kanata, Princess Leia and many others. As with previous incarnations of LEGO Star Wars, Darth Vader and Palpatine have their humorous back and forth relationship, and there is even a DROID to add more comic relief. The interesting thing about the latest LEGO Star Wars installment was that it was a completly original story, not just a retelling of an already existing Star Wars moment in history. We get more Star Wars Mythos, new characters, and a deeper look at the Galaxy far, far away. It took us 3 days to get through both disks, but we continue to watch the Blu-ray over and over.
There was also some bonus features, and an awesome bonus item!

The Blu-Ray also came with a set of 6 Magnets featuring the cast of the show. They are sturdy magnets with colorful images straight from the beautifully animated show.
