Refuel with the Cool Dinoco Blue Milkshake at Disney California Adventure

Disneyland

Disneyland

There’s a lot that Disneyland visitors have to be excited about this Summer.  From the opening of Guardians of the Galaxy- Mission: BREAKOUT!  to the Summer of Heroes celebration featuring Marvel meet and greets, dance parties and so much more.  Another area where Disneyland is completely wowing us this Summer is with the amazing array of seasonal snacks currently on offer.  Its seems like a new goody is revealed every few days, making our mouths water.  With that in mind, I give you the Cool Dinoco Blue Milkshake.

This delightful creation is perfect for those looking to beat the Summer heat and can be found at Flo’s V8 Cafe in Cars Land.  The Dinoco Blue is a blue raspberry flavored milkshake accented with glittering yellow sprinkles and sugar crystals taking after the Dinoco Logo from the Disney•Pixar Cars franchise.

California Adventure

The technicolor beverage joins other fantastic offerings at Flo’s including the Ka-chow! Spicy Breakfast Burrito a well as colored churros available across the street at the Crazy Cone Motel!

Each of these items are too pretty to pass up so be sure to give them a try during your next visit to Disney California Adventure Park!

Could A Disney Version Of Cards Against Humanity Be On Its Way?

Cards against humanity disney

There’s been a lot of Disney rumors making the rounds this month in the lead in to the D23 convention happening in Anaheim  in just a few short days.  From new theme park expansions to Star Wars themed resorts, we thought we’d heard it all.  But there is one rumor that started to hit social media this week that has us feeling amused but skeptical.

If you’ve been at an “adults only” get together over the past few months, chances are someone brought along a Cards Against Humanity Deck.  The premise is simple, there are two decks of cards, black and white.  One player asks a question from a black card and everyone else tries to outdo their friends by laying down the most provocative, raunchiest or rudest white card.

The game can be pretty provocative which is why the internet has blown up when the makers of Cards Against Humanity supposedly revealed on social media this week that a Disney version could be in the works.  The claim was supposedly made on Facebook but was then promptly taken down.

However an Instagram user reported nabbing this screenshot before the official post was removed:

Disney version of Cards Against Humanity!! ?? #cah #cardsagainsthumanity #disney #lol

A post shared by Chez (@chezrep_ww) on

Only time will tell if Cards Against Humanity and Disney will unite to create what will undoubtedly be the talked about game of the year or whether it is just a hoax.  Regardless, you’ll probably never look at some of your favorite Disney films the same way again.

For more information on Cards Against Humanity check out their official site.

Amusement Park Rentals is The Source for Stroller and Scooter Rentals at Disney World

Amusement Park Rentals is The Source for Stroller and Scooter Rentals at Disney World

One of the most common questions I receive as a Disney Travel Agent is what is the best company to rent a stroller or scooter at Walt Disney World. After personal experience using Amusement Park Rentals, they are my go-to recommendation for anyone needing a set of wheels for the parks.

Amusement Park Rentals customer service is unparalleled with their 5 Star Care and Attention Promise:

  • We will relieve the stress of your vacation
  • We will provide high quality products and services
  • We will provide clean products
  • We will be timely in delivering the items and your order from us.
  • We will be available when you are in need.

I can personally attest to each of these promises. Last time we were headed to Disney World, we were packing the car on the day of our arrival and realized we did not have enough room for the double stroller. I gave Amusement Park Rentals a call and they were able to have a stroller out to me just a few hours later that day. They arrived at our resort at the agreed time with a clean, high-quality Citi Mini double stroller. We didn’t personally have to call them while on our trip but if something would go wrong with your rental while in the parks, they will meet you to fix the problem or bring you a new rental.

I loved how comfortable it was for both my 7-month old daughter and 3-year old son so they could take naps while in the parks. My son loved it so much he didn’t want to return it as the end of the trip! I also like the convenience of not having to pack a stroller or scooter when you are traveling to Disney whether that be by car, plane, or train.

To reserve a stroller or scooter for your next trip, please be sure to CLICK HERE. If you use this link, you will receive a free gift! If you plan on calling directly at 407-442-000, just mention Chip & Co for your free gift with rental.

With competitive prices, free delivery, military discounts, and amazing customer services, there’s not other choice than Amusement Park Rentals!

Try the Avocado Margarita at La Cava Del Tequila in Epcot

Avocado Margarita

If you’re anything like me, you are anxiously awaiting the opening of the new margarita stand at the Mexico Pavilion in Disney’s Epcot! The stand – Choza de Margarita – is expected to open sometime this year, in the meantime let’s talk about the Avocado Margarita currently available at La Cava Del Tequila in Epcot’s World Showcase.

One search on Instagram will show you just how insanely popular the Avocado Margarita is! Served frozen with a hibiscus salt rim, these neon green margs are packed with fruity liquors and a healthy dose of avocado.

For $13.50 you can beat the heat with one of these refreshing margaritas! If you aren’t headed to Epcot anytime soon try making your own at home. La Cava Del Tequila recently shared their recipe for the popular Avocado Margarita, on Instagram.

If you’re local, grab a friend, head over to Epcot’s Mexico Pavilion and say chEARS! I’ll be headed to the local store to stock up on ingredients for the DIY version. Are you headed to Epcot to try the Avocado Margarita or will you be testing out the recipe at home? Share in the comments below.

Epcot’s Buffalo Bleu Cheese Popcorn is a Must Try!

Buffalo Bleu Cheese Popcorn

The Disney parks are filled with many iconic snacks, like the Mickey Ice Cream Bar, the Mickey Pretzel, and of course the Dole Whip! All of these snacks are delicious and personally my family never travels to Disney without having at least one of each. We also always grab more than our fair share of popcorn!

Buttered popcorn is readily available throughout the Walt Disney World Resort and I could easily snack on it all day, but did you know that there is a gourmet option available as well? If you know where to look in Epcot, you can find the elusive Buffalo Bleu Cheese Popcorn. Not only is the Buffalo Bleu Cheese Popcorn bursting with flavor, it is a treat for the eyes as well.

Located near the Journey Into Imagination with Figment, this gourmet popcorn cart offers three specialty flavors:

  • Buffalo Bleu Cheese Popcorn
  • Cheddar Cheese Popcorn
  • Sour Cream-and-Chive Popcorn

Epcot's Buffalo Bleu Cheese Popcorn is a Must Try!

The gourmet flavors can be purchased for $5.25 and qualify as a snack credit if you’re using a Disney Dining Plan! Have you tried the Buffalo Bleu Cheese Popcorn? Share your thoughts in the comments!

Disney’s Yacht Club Convention Center Construction Photo Tour

Disney's Yacht Club Convention Center Construction Photo Tour

Seems like everywhere we look, as we travel through the Walt Disney World Resort, there are construction zones.  During a recent visit to the Yacht & Beach Club Resort, we noticed this sign directing people to access the Convention Center through Disney’s Beach Club Lobby.  Here is a short construction photo tour of the area surrounding Disney’s Yacht Club Convention Center during its lengthy expansion project.

When travelling along Epcot Resorts Boulevard, you can still enter to the main parking for Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.  From that point forward towards Disney’s Beach Club Resort, there are construction walls around the Cast, Bus and Service entrance near the Yacht Club Convention Center.

Construction walls and construction vehicles around the Convention Center have limited the parking availability to some degree. The refurbishment of the Yacht Club Convention Center has left slightly limited parking for the Yacht & Beach Club Resort.  We parked in the DVC section of the Beach Club Resort.

Construction, construction, and more construction!  The Disney Team does an excellent job of ensuring a flow of traffic, people, and construction vehicles throughout their multitudes of refurbishment projects.  We look forward to seeing how the refurbishment of the Yacht Club Convention Center progresses.  Stay tuned here to our Chip and Company Facebook page for future updates.

Are you excited to see the end results of the many construction projects at the Walt Disney World Resort?  Please leave your comments in the box below.

How Garden Grocer Can Help Supplement Your Disney Dining Credits

How Garden Grocer Can Help Supplement Your Disney Dining Credits

It’s no secret that dining at Disney World is pretty pricey. Using the Disney Dining Plan can help your budget by allowing you to pay for your meals ahead of time. The most common plans will cover 2 meals and 2 snacks per person per night of your stay. But what do you do for the remaining meals not covered by the dining plan? I’m here today to give you another option for supplementing your Disney dining credits.

Our family uses an online grocery delivery service called Garden Grocer. It is a convenient way for us to be able to stock up our fridge without needing a rental car or taxi. It’s also amazing to not have our suitcases crammed full of bulky items like diapers and bottles of water. We just go online and choose from over 5,000 products available ($40 minimum). One of the nice things about Garden Grocer is that they even offer alcohol! Sometimes a glass of wine after a long park day is a perfect way to spend the evening after the kids are asleep.

During check-out you choose your delivery date and then select a 2 hour window for your grocery delivery. There is a $14 delivery charge but if your order is over $200 than the delivery fee is only $2. I would recommend booking your delivery window as soon as you can. Those time slots disappear the closer you get to your arrival date. You can always modify your order later as things pop into your head.

At the date and time you scheduled, your delivery will be dropped off at bell services of your Disney resort. All frozen foods are packed into insulated containers that keeps frozen foods frozen while keeping them separate from other packaged goods such as produce. When you receive your groceries, they are in the same condition they were in the grocer’s case.

One of the perks of using this service is that you don’t have to be present for delivery. The resort bell services will hold your grocery order for you and any perishables will be stored in the resort refrigerator. Once you arrive contact bell services and a Disney cast member will bring your groceries to your room.

Details

  • You have to use a credit card to have your groceries left at the resort.  COD orders require your attendance.  The store will call to confirm with you before delivery.
  • Tipping is optional according to their website.  We always leave a tip for the driver.
  • If you cancel your order before the 48 hour mark there is no fee.  Inside 48 hours there is a restocking fee.  It gets gradually higher the later you cancel.
  • Delivery times are between 8am and 9pm, 7 days a week.  You select a 2 hour window but keep in mind they may deliver a little earlier.

Keep reading to the end for more information on how your family can experience an amazing Disney Cruise Line vacation aboard the Disney Fantasy.

Chocolate Dipped Marshmallows
Makes 10 marshmallow sticks

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup dark chocolate
  • ½ cup white chocolate
  • 10 lollipop sticks

Suggested toppings:

  • Skittles

  • Petite mints
  • Mini river rocks candy
  • Mini Oreo cookies

Directions:

  1. Place three marshmallows on each lollipop stick.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate on the stove or in the microwave, stirring every minute so the chocolate melts evenly.
  3. Dip the marshmallows into the melted chocolate and place on parchment paper to set. Repeat for all 10 sticks.
  4. Melt the white chocolate and drizzle it over the marshmallow sticks.
  5. Add toppings immediately after drizzling the white chocolate. If the white chocolate sets before you add all of the toppings, dip the toppings in the melted chocolate and place on the marshmallow.

International Gateway Gondola Station Construction has begun

International Gateway Gondola Station Construction has begun

Earlier this year we began hearing rumors about a gondola system coming to the Walt Disney World Resort.  These rumors were confirmed when Disney signed an official Notice of Commencement listing six locations for construction.  The Gondola System will have three lines and will transport guests from Caribbean Beach Resort, POP Century, and Art of Animation to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot via the International Gateway. During a recent visit to the area, we were excited to see the International Gateway is now sporting a potential Gondola Station Construction Wall.

When you enter the walkway to the International Gateway area, from the Boardwalk, you can immediately see the construction wall.  As you walk towards the Friendship Boats dock on the right, you can see the construction wall begins to curve towards the entrance of the Guest Services area at the International Gateway on the left.

The construction wall continues around and ends at the corner of the International Gateway Restrooms.  There are no signs of construction vehicles at this point but we will keep an eye out for the construction to begin.  This location, based on the Notice of Commencement filed, would be the potential location for one of the Gondola Stations.

See our short video of this construction wall here:

Walt Disney World has not released an official statement about the Gondola System.  Stay tuned here to Chip and Company for updates as they become available.

What do you think of the new construction wall at the International Gateway?  Please leave your comments in the box below.
