I love having Ohana inspirations all around my home, for little reminders and happy memories of my own Ohana. Coco To Make Its Big Screen Debut at Mexico’s Morelia Film Festival

Disney• Pixar’s latest animated feature Coco, tells the story of a boy, Miguel, who dreams of becoming a musician despite his family’s ban on music. In order to prove himself as an artist he embarks on an amazing journey taking him to the magical, captivating and colorful Land of the Dead. The entire film is steeped in the traditions and culture of Mexico. That’s why there couldn’t be a more perfect place for Coco to make its cinematic debut than at the Morelia International Film Festival in a city famous for its Day of the Dead celebrations.

Coco will open the festival on October 20th a few weeks ahead of the Day of the Dead festivities.

Mobile Order Is Coming to Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland Terrace Starting July 11th.

Disney’s new Mobile Order dining capabilities will officially be expanding out of Disney’s Animal Kingdom where it has been trialed for the last month and over to the Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland Terrace starting on July 11th.

The Mobile Order option started when the Satu’li Canteen opening at Pandora – The World of Avatar this past Memorial Day. The service integrates with the My Disney Experience App and gives guests the option of ordering Quick Service Meals online, paying for them with a credit card, and then picking up the food at mobile order pick up windows allowing visitors to avoid the long lines.

Mobile Order has proven to be popular with Disney guests and was expanded to three other Animal Kingdom restaurants including Restaurantosaurus, Pizzafari and Flame Tree Barbecue.

Disney announced plans earlier this Summer to expand the offerings to the following locations:

ABC Commissary (Hollywood Studios)
Backlot Express (Hollywood Studios)
Columbia Harbour House (Magic Kingdom)
Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe (Magic Kingdom)
D-Luxe Burger (Disney Springs)
Electric Umbrella (Epcot)
Flame Tree Barbecue (Animal Kingdom)
Liberty Inn (Epcot)
Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe (Magic Kingdom)
Pinocchio Village Haus (Magic Kingdom)
Pizzafari (Animal Kingdom)
Restaurantosaurus (Animal Kingdom)
Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant (Magic Kingdom)
Tortuga Tavern (Magic Kingdom)

Tomorrowland Terrace will be the next one on the list to start offering Mobile Order and is set to go online starting July 11th. With its central location between Main Street USA and Tomorrowland, its the perfect pit stop for guests looking to grab a quick burger, salad or sandwich.

Once Upon a Time

Fans of ABC’s Once Upon a Time better get ready for some new faces in Storybrooke. The television show kicks of its seventh season this Fall in a whole new time slot, Fridays at 8/7c; but that’s not all that is new. The series is adding five new cast members, lets meet the new Storybrooke residents:

Gabrielle Anwar (Burn Notice)
Dania Ramirez (Devious Maids)
Adelaide Kane (Reign)
Mekia Cox (Chicago Med)
Rose Reynolds (Poldark)

No character details have been announced, but according to TVLine Gabrielle Anwar and Dania Ramirez will be regulars on the Once Upon a Time series, while Kane, Cox, and Reynolds will have reoccurring roles. The new additions to the show come after the announcement of six main characters departing the show.

Season 7 of the series will follow Henry as an adult (Andrew J. West) and his daughter Lucy (Alison Fernandez) as they team up with Evil Queen, Captain Hook, and Rumplestiltskin to face their greatest challenge yet. There is no set date for the seventh season premiere.

Refreshment Carts At Disney World Golf Courses Are Getting Character Makeovers

The folks over at Disney Golf are adding a little extra pixie dust to guest’s golf games at the Walt Disney World Resort golf courses. Brand new refreshment carts are showing their Disney Side as they roll out onto the greens themed around favorite Disney characters.

The Lake Buena Vista course will have a Mickey-inspired cart while the Palm, Magnolia, and Oak Trail courses will show off Mickey, Minnie and Goofy designs.

Disney Golf is continuously looking for fun ways to enhance the overall guest experience during play. In addition to the character-themed refreshment carts, each course will also have fixed food and beverage locations for guests to enjoy.

Three Celebrations to Ring in the New Year at Disney’s Contemporary Resort

It is almost time to start making your plans to ring in 2018! You can welcome in the New Year at one of three celebrations at Walt Disney World’s Contemporary Resort. Reservations for each of these three events will open on July 11.

Disney Countdown to Midnight

Guests will enjoy an evening of dining and dancing at “Disney Countdown to Midnight.” The evening will include delightful dining, live music, libations and more. An interactive band and DJ will fill the dance floor. We have it on good authority that Mickey and Minnie will join the celebration! Then welcome in 2018 with a flute of bubbly and a viewing of those amazing New Year’s Eve fireworks in the Magic Kingdom.

Hours are 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. in the Fantasia Ballroom. This party is designed for guests 18 and older.

Pixar Party: A New Year’s Eve Celebration

Children will be thrilled with the “Pixar Party: A New Year’s Eve Celebration.” This family-friendly celebration will feature a Disney•Pixar-inspired dinner to ring in the New Year. Guests will enjoy a buffet style dinner and kids will love the Pixar face painting, a balloon artist and a boot camp with Sarge. An interactive DJ in a “Cars” inspired rig from Radiator Springs will be keep the party going with music from Radio Disney.

Sarge welcomes you to the Ballroom of the Americas that features vignettes of beloved Pixar movies. From Andy’s Room in “Toy Story” to and Metro City with The Incredibles, the celebration will include theatrical backdrops, dramatic set pieces and fun props that re-create the fantastic worlds of the Pixar films. And, of course, favorite characters will be on hand from “Toy Story,” “The Incredibles,” “Cars” and “Up.”

At midnight, head outdoors to ring in the New Year with a viewing of the Magic Kingdom fireworks. Hours are 8 p.m.-12:15 a.m.

Down in New Orleans: A Disney New Year’s Eve Dining Experience

“The Princess and the Frog” is the inspiration for “Down in New Orleans: A Disney New Year’s Eve Dining Experience.” This celebration will be held in the Grand Republic Ballroom, all beautifully decorated French Quarter style to transport you to the Big Easy.

This fine dining expereince will feature flavors such as oyster beignets, smoked salmon mousse cones with caviar, Kobe beef tartare and sheep’s milk ricotta gnocchi. Signature dishes will include herb-crusted Louisiana redfish, crayfish etouffee, Balck Angus beef cooked two ways, braised short ribs and filet of beef with truffled celery root silk.

A N’awlins jazz band will entertain during dinner, joined later in the evening by a vocalist who will bring to life the Academy-Award-winning classics from the film. Guests will ring in 2018 watching the beautiful Magic Kingdom fireworks from a private viewing area. Hours are 7 p.m.-12:15 a.m.

Morimoto Asia has announced its inaugural “Craft Beers & Bites Festival” on July 29th, benefiting The Children’s Home Society of Central Florida. Taking place on the second level of Morimoto Asia in Disney Springs, this event will feature eight Florida craft breweries with individual food pairings prepared by Morimoto Asia’s Executive Chef Yuhi Fujinaga. The event will take place from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Ticket price: $49.80, which includes unlimited beer and bites. 100% of the profit is being donated to The Children’s Home Society of Central Florida.
