Located on the Rue de Paris leading to Place de Rémy – home of the award-winning Ratatouille attraction – this special event features six chalets forming a picturesque village square, each representing a different region of France: Brittany, Alsace, South of France, Bordeaux, Bourgogne and Savoie.

Mexico Pavilion In EPCOT Hosting 'Fiestas Patrias' Event This Saturday

Did you know that Hispanic Heritage Month runs from September 15 through October 15? The Mexico Pavilion, which will be decorated for the occasion, is celebrating Mexican Independence by hosting a “Fiestas Patrias” event this Saturday, September 16.

EPCOT guests will join in the fun with cast members at Plaza de los Amigos for a Discovery Experience. Everyone will be able to take part in a special scavenger hunt to help them learn more about Mexico and its Independence. Guests will need to keep their eyes peeled for clues to answer the questions for the scavenger hunt hidden throughout the pavilion. After completing the hunt, guests will receive a small certificate to commemorate the special celebration.

Halloween 2017 is in Full Swing at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

Halloween is just around the corner and the celebrating has already begun at Walt Disney World Resort.

Magic Kingdom’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party kicked off August 25, the parties are perfect for kids of all ages, with an adorable “not-so-scary” theme. Guests of all ages are encouraged to dress in their best Halloween costume. There are guidelines to follow, so make sure you read through the official costume guidelines.

This special ticket event is filled with amazing entertainment, yummy treats and everyone’s favorite, Mickey’s “Boo to You” Halloween Parade. Led by none other than the Headless Horseman himself, the parade is packed with Disney characters dressed in their favorite Halloween costumes and Halloween themed floats filled with villains, pirates and princesses.

Many of your favorite Magic Kingdom attractions are also in operation during the party. From thrill rides such as Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, to classics like Pirates of the Caribbean and Peter Pan’s Flight there is something for everyone. The Walt Disney Company Pledges $2.5 Million To Aid Communities Impacted By Hurricane Irma

Hurricane Irma has taken its toll across Florida and the Caribbean. The Walt Disney Company has committed $2.5 million to aid in humanitarian relief efforts to aid these impacted areas. The donation will support the disaster response and recovery efforts of the American Red Cross, UNICEF, Save the Children, and other nonprofit organizations.

“As millions of people now face the daunting challenge of putting their lives and communities back together in the wake of these historic hurricanes, they need our help,” said Robert A. Iger, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, The Walt Disney Company. “We’re donating $2.5 million to support relief and recovery efforts in response to Hurricane Irma. This is in addition to nearly $16 million we raised after Hurricane Harvey to help ensure storm victims have the support needed to recover and rebuild.”

In addition to Disney’s donation announced today, contributions from Disney employees to eligible relief and recovery organizations will be matched dollar for dollar by Disney Employee Matching Gifts: A Program of The Walt Disney Company Foundation.

During Hurricane Irma, Walt Disney World and the Disney Cruise Line donated meals, provided storage for supplies and power-utility vehicles, donated bedding to shelters, and made rooms available for first responders. Disney will also be donating goods and services throughout the region as specific needs are identified. Additionally, this evening, in partnership with other media companies, ABC will broadcast Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Relief, a telethon special to raise awareness and additional money to help the millions of people displaced and devastated by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

Following Hurricane Harvey, The Walt Disney Company raised almost $16 million to help storm victims facing the daunting challenge of rebuilding their lives and communities. This total reflects Disney’s direct donation to the American Red Cross, personal contributions from employees matched dollar for dollar by Disney, and money raised across the Company through a variety of initiatives, including social media outreach and campaigns in Disney Stores in support of the Day of Giving, which aired August 31 across all of our media platforms.

Disney works on an ongoing basis with numerous nonprofit organizations on emergency preparedness efforts, including sharing lifesaving information with families before and during emergencies, having supplies prepositioned and at-the-ready to respond to natural disasters, and providing resources to activate large-scale responses in the event of a disaster.

Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend Runners Raced to Infinity and Beyond

Disneyland Resort recently completed a magical Pixar weekend of fun-filled runs at the 2017 Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend. The first race weekend of the 2017-2018 runDisney season had runners racing to the finish line and beyond not only in their favorite running shoes, but in some great Pixar-themed costumes as well. Here’s a look at some of the favorite moments from throughout the weekend:

The Disneyland 5K boasted an ‘incredible’ time for super heroes and runners alike, full of family, celebrating Pixar’s own super family from “The Incredibles.”

Disneyland 10K runners had all their ‘screams’ come true during the weekend’s next event celebrating “Monsters, Inc.” Throwing it back to Mike and Sulley’s days at Monsters University, participants felt the spirit of Oozma Kappa the whole race through.

Space Rangers and Cowboys suited up and saddled up for the weekend’s final event, the Disneyland Half Marathon, celebrating “Toy Story.” Partners reached for the sky as they completed the 13.1 miles to the finish line.

J.J. Abrams Back On Board to Direct Star Wars: Episode IX

In a move that is sure to excite many a Star Wars fan, the news was released today that J.J. Abrams will be back at the helm for Star Wars Episode IX slated to hit theaters in 2019.

J.J Abrams directed the first film in the new franchise Star Wars: The Force Awakens back in 2015 and will be returning to round out the trilogy as writer and director of the final installment. The Force Awakens went on to sell more than $2 billion tickets worldwide and was considered a critical success.

It should be noted that J.J. Abrams was not originally slated to direct the project. Instead, the role was given to Colin Trevorrow whose previous films include “Jurrasic World” and “The Book of Henry.” However, Trevorrow’s departure from Episode IX was recently announced with those close to the project citing creative differences.

Abrams will collaborate on the script with Chris Terrio. Star Wars: Episode IX will be produced by Kathleen, Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Abrams, Bad Robot and Lucasfilm.

Episode IX is scheduled for release on December 20, 2019.

Believe or not, knowing an important restroom location to head to when nature calls is a pretty important skill to have especially during those extra busy park days. Tomorrowland’s Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe is currently undergoing a lengthy refurbishment and has recently unveiled today a shiny new ladies rooms. Here are a few photos of the changes that have been made.

With improved stalls, lighting, and sinks, the restrooms at the very busy Quick Service eatery just became a bit more manageable. So next time you’re at the Magic Kingdom and in need of a pit stop you know the perfect location.
