We were first introduced to Donald Duck in “The Wise Little Hen” cartoon which debuted on June 9, 1934, and the world was never the same again. Our favorite duck will be celebrating his 84th birthday this year and Tokyo Disneyland has announced a big one-month celebration. “Donald’s Happy Birthday to Me!” event will run from June 7th until July 7th. Some of the festivities will include attraction and restaurant decorations, new food and merchandise, and a specially themed treasure hunt.

Tokyo Disneyland guests will be excited to snap selfies at Donald’s House and Camp Woodchuck Kitchen all decorated for Donald’s big day.

Miguel’s El Dorado Cantina at Tokyo DisneySea will also be decorated for the event.

Some of the new menu items will include the Tropical Shaved Ice, Cider with Blue Jelly, and S’more style Chocolate Brownie.

During “Donald’s Happy Birthday to Me!” event, guests can also purchase a special “Join the Fun” package. It will include a flag to wave, a treasure hunt map where you will find keywords and collect stickers from Cast Members, and an original celebration badge that you can decorate with those stickers.

Update On Disney's Hollywood Studios Skyliner Progress

The Disney Skyliner at Hollywood Studios is making progress! Soon, guests will be able to take an amazing gondola ride from select Disney resorts to Hollywood Studios and Epcot theme parks. You can see the construction on the towers that will hold the skyliner gondola cars. These towers will soon be seen all along the path from resort to park and back again.

When completed, the Disney Skyliner will connect Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, including the new DVC Riviera Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and Disney’s Pop Century Resort to Hollywood Studios and Epcot’s International Gateway. Guests will be able to get a bird’s eye view of the Disney Resort on their way to their destinations.

It’s time to meet Peter and the X-Force in the new Deadpool 2 Trailer. The Deadpool 2 final trailer has come out, and this time DP has brought friends. Ryan Reynolds plays Deadpool, the misunderstood, mercenary forced to bring out his own justice in Deadpool 2. This time he is recruiting a whole league of anti-heroes to as they battle the evil and powerful Cable and other bad guys to save a boy’s life.

Michelle Pfeiffer to Join Angelina Jolie in the Maleficent Sequel

Today The Hollywood Reporter released that Michelle Pfeiffer is to join Angelina Jolie in the Maleficent Sequel. This is another big casting announcement for the sequel of Maleficent, as the addition of Ed Skrein of Deadpool was recently added. Pfeiffer is to play a queen as Sleeping Beauty’s antagonist in the film. Pfeiffer will join Angelina Jolie, Elle Fanning, and Ed Skrein for the highly anticipated sequel. Fanning and Jolie are returning in their roles for the follow-up to the 2014 blockbuster.

Information about the script has been kept locked under key, as it is currently unclear where the film will pick up. When we Maleficent left off all was well in the world. What will this new queen bring to the story? Stay tuned as we bring you more information on casting and details for Maleficent 2.

Must Try Epcot Maple Popcorn Shake

Another Must Try at Epcot is the Maple Popcorn Shake. Available in Canada during the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival we were a little unsure about this one but were pleasantly surprised to find we were wrong to be worried!

Available at Northern Bloom at the Canada Pavilion during the 2018 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, this speciality beverage is available in an alcoholic and non-alcoholic version. The alcoholic version is served with Crown Royal Maple Whiskey for $11.75 while the non-alcoholic version is $4.50, or one snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan.

The shake is perfect for those guests who love maple and the popcorn topping is a fun twist! We’d definitely suggest trying one of these shakes during your Epcot visit during the Flower & Garden Festival.

Also available at the Northern Bloom booth during the 2018 Flower & Garden Festival are Seared Scallops with French green beans, butter potatoes, brown butter vinaigrette and applewood smoked bacon for $6.50; Beef Tenderloin Tips with mushroom bordelaise sauce and whipped potatoes with garden vegetables for $6.75; and Grilled Maple Pound Cake with warm peach compote and sweet corn gelato for $4.50.

You’ll also find several beers at this booth. Unibroue Maudite Amber Ale, Unibroue A Tout Le Monde Saison and Unibroue Ephemere White Ale for $5.00 each or a Beer Flight for $11.00.

China Eastern Airline's Toy Story Themed Plane Takes Maiden Flight

China Eastern Airlines‘ newest Disney livery plane took it’s first flight yesterday, April 28th, from Shanghai to Beijing. Featuring Pixar’s Toy Story, this is China Eastern Airlines third Disney themed plane. The first, a Mickey and Minnie inspired A330-300 was unveiled in 2016.

For the first time, the China Eastern Airlines’ Disney themed plane also has the interior decorated as well. Toy Story characters such as Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Rex, Lotso, Mr. Potato Head, Mrs. Potato Head and Slinky Dog are are featured on the seatbacks, tray tables and even the ceiling.

This fun atmosphere is sure to make flights to Shanghai Disney Resort amazing. China Eastern Airlines originally planned to have six Disney livery aircraft in their line including one Boeing 777, one 737, two Airbus A330s and two A320s. You probably already know how magical a Disney Cruise can be. But what about being on a Disney Cruise that features your favorite Broadway performers in a live concert? With Disney Cruise Line’s “Stars Set Sail” series, that is just what you will get! Presented by Disney Theatrical Productions, “Stars Set Sail” cruises bring the magic of Disney renowned Broadway and international shows right onboard to the Walt Disney Theater.

For fans of Broadway’s “The Lion King,” you will have the chance to see Alton Fitzgerald White. White performed for a record-breaking 4,308 performances as Mufasa on Broadway. Also, onboard for one special sailing is Jonathan Freeman. You might not be familiar with Freeman but I bet you know his voice! Freeman voice the evil vizier Jafar in the animated move “Aladdin” and portrays in the Broadway version.

Every “Stars Set Sail” performance aboard a Disney Cruise highlights the star’s original highlights and theatrical repertoire including their personal journey to Broadway. If you are lucky enough to sail on one of these extra-magical sailings, you may even be treated to a meet-and-greet session with the star during an exclusive Q&A session. In addition, adults-only shows in the evening and even theater classes for teens and tween may be offered. How cool would that be?!
