Your journey back to Pandora starts now! Advance tickets for James Cameron’s highly anticipated threequel, “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” are on sale today at Fandango and wherever tickets are sold. The film hits theaters exclusively worldwide on December 19th, available in all premium 3D formats (IMAX 3D, Dolby Cinema 3D, RealD 3D, etc.). Fans can also celebrate the launch with a newly released featurette.

Directed by James Cameron, “Avatar: Fire and Ash” takes audiences back to Pandora for a new, immersive adventure centered on Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), the Na’vi leader, Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña), and their family. The film, which features a screenplay by Cameron, Rick Jaffa, and Amanda Silver, is produced by James Cameron and Jon Landau, p.g.a., and stars a large ensemble cast including Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Oona Chaplin, Cliff Curtis, and Kate Winslet.

There are two early access screenings at El Capitan Theatre on Thursday, December 18 at 2:30pm and 7:00pm.

A Fan Event screening will take place at 7:00pm on Friday, December 19 with 2 different ticket packages.

Holiday Horrors Are Taking Over Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas

If your idea of holiday cheer leans more toward “screaming in a fog-filled hallway” than “sipping cocoa by the fire,” Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas has the perfect seasonal surprise. The brand-new year-round horror experience is celebrating its first-ever holiday season, and Universal is decking the halls with something far more sinister than tinsel.

On select nights from November 15, 2025, through January 3, 2026, guests can meet a trio of chilling winter legends, feast on folklore-inspired food, and witness a spectral procession that turns festive folklore into full-blown fear.

This special holiday overlay is included with regular admission, and honestly, it may be the boldest “Christmas event” Las Vegas has ever seen.

Universal is leaning deep into European and Nordic mythology for this icy celebration. First up is Krampus, the Germanic punisher of the naughty and nemesis of warm, fuzzy holiday spirit everywhere. His photo op features a throne literally encrusted with skulls, proving that he’s not here to check lists — he’s here to end them. Nearby waits Grýla, the towering Icelandic troll mother known for hunting bad children and boiling them in her cauldron. She’s large, looming, and ready to remind you why Icelanders behave so well in December. Completing the trio are the Kallikantzaroi, the chaotic, goblin-like terrors of Greek folklore who love to cause mischief during the Twelve Days of Christmas. At this event, they hide beneath a rotting tree and pop out just when your nerves settle.

Guests can strike terrifying poses with each creature, making this one of the most unique holiday photo ops Universal has ever offered. It’s the perfect blend of folklore, frights, and Instagram-ready nightmare fuel.

The food lineup is just as wicked. Horror Unleashed is serving up seasonal specialty items like the “Krampus” Snow Globe dessert, Grýla’s Char, and Chicken Souvlakichos. It’s a mix of European holiday influence and Universal’s trademark creative culinary chaos, all available for purchase throughout the event. And because this is Vegas, adults 21+ can also enjoy themed drinks — as long as they bring a valid ID.

It hasn’t even been a full year since Universal’s Epic Universe opened its portals, and Universal Orlando is already hinting that the park’s next chapter is beginning to take shape. Fresh off a newly filed construction permit and a whole lot of fan speculation, Universal has now confirmed that something big is brewing behind the scenes.

Exciting Additions Coming to Universal Orlando's Epic Universe

The Orlando Business Journal reached out to Universal and received a statement from Alyson Sologaistoa, Vice President of Public Relations for Universal Orlando Resort, who said Universal is “preparing for some exciting additions to Universal Epic Universe in the future… Details about specific developments will be shared in due time.” That’s corporate-speak for “you’re onto something…but we’re not telling you yet.”

The permit filed on November 7 calls for “site utilities and foundation work” plus “new construction” on a massive 150,000-square-foot area inside Epic Universe. To put that into perspective, that’s roughly the combined footprint of Le Cirque Arcanus and Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry show buildings. Naturally, the rumor mill immediately zeroed in on an expansion to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic.

Epic Universe has dazzled with its theming, tech, and portal-to-portal storytelling, but the park has also faced criticism over long waits and a relatively small slate of indoor attraction capacity. Adding another major ride — especially one tied to the wildly popular Ministry of Magic land — would absolutely help balance crowds and boost guest flow throughout the day.

Universal, as expected, is staying tight-lipped. No confirmation, no concept art, not even a cheeky wand sparkle. But if the footprint and timing are any indication, this could be the first step toward the park’s first post-opening expansion.

Extended Evening Hours Returning to All Four Walt Disney World Parks in January 2026

Disney just dropped a full lineup of Extended Evening Hours across all four theme parks, giving guests staying at Deluxe Resorts, Deluxe Villas, and select hotels even more opportunities to explore after dark.

Magic Kingdom steps back into the rotation with Wednesday nights in January, EPCOT continues its traditional Monday evenings, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios gets a spotlight moment on January 26. Even Disney’s Animal Kingdom sees a continuation of its early-evening version of the perk through late December and early January.

From the quiet glow of Cinderella Castle to the neon hum of TRON Lightcycle Run, these extended hours offer a rare chance to enjoy headliners with dramatically lower waits. This year, the Lugo family’s running circle grew even larger, embodying the spirit of Disney’s connected workforce. They were joined by Mitchelle’s leader, John Cogliandro, manager of location planning, along with his wife and their 12-year-old son.

Also lacing up her sneakers was Tyler Saunders, a Disney Programs professional intern who recently began her Disney career with the location planning team.

Together, this expanded group—from the veteran cast members with decades of service to the newest intern and the youngest family members—perfectly represents the heart of Disney’s multigenerational workforce.
