If you are planning a meal at The BOATHOUSE soon, you might want to adjust your dining budget. The Disney Springs staple has quietly bumped up prices for July 2026, with nearly every single item on both the lunch and dinner menus seeing a cost increase.

Depending on what you order, the new price increases range anywhere from $0.50 to $6.00. Some of the steepest hikes hit the restaurant’s premium steak and seafood selections.

Sides, Salads, and Sandwiches

Nearly every side dish at the restaurant now costs $1 more. Accompaniments like the Fresh Cut Fries, Baked Potato, Red Potatoes, and Roasted Jumbo Sweet Potato have all shifted from $11 to $12, while the Grilled Asparagus and Truffle Fries climbed to $14.

Dessert prices climbed across the board, with the signature Key Lime Pie rising to $16.50 (up from $15) and the massive Macadamia Turtle Pie jumping to $29.50 (up from $27.50). On the kids’ menu, the Blue Star Angus Burger and the Grilled Salmon entrée each received a $1 increase, moving to $14 and $15, respectively.

Weekend Brunch Adjustments

If you are planning to catch the weekend brunch (Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM), expect to pay a bit more for your morning favorites. The Crabcakes Benedict rose two dollars to $38, while the Steak and Eggs jumped from $39.50 to $42.50. Even staple breakfast sides like Bacon and Home Fries saw bumps, moving from $5 up to $6 or $7.

The savanna family at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge just got a little bigger with the birth of a brand-new waterbuck calf! While Disney has not yet shared the little one’s name or official debut date, animal care teams are giving the newborn time to bond before joining the rest of the herd.

Known for their distinct shaggy coats, waterbucks are a large species of antelope that can live up to 18 years. Sadly, these beautiful animals face growing threats in the wild; the African Wildlife Foundation notes that fewer than 200,000 remain, largely due to severe habitat loss.

The social media post reads:

“You “herd” it here! We’ve welcomed a new waterbuck calf over at Disney’s #AnimalKingdomLodge! This newest addition belongs to a species of antelope commonly found near Africa’s rivers and grasslands.”

Disneyland Resort Celebrates 1 Billionth Guest Milestone

Disneyland Resort has officially made history by welcoming its one billionth guest! To celebrate seven decades of happiness and countless magical memories, a special ceremony was held at the entrance of Disneyland Park. Over the past 71 years, the resort has brought joy to families from every corner of the globe, firmly cementing its legacy as The Happiest Place on Earth. Reaching this monumental milestone just days before its official anniversary proves that Walt Disney’s original dream lives on, continuing to inspire the world.

A normal family trip turned into a piece of Disney history this morning when an unsuspecting guest was named the official one billionth visitor to the Disneyland Resort. Eight-year-old Andres Robles from Arizona arrived at the gates with his parents, Alejandra and Jose, expecting nothing more than a fun day celebrating his eighth birthday. Instead, the family was shocked to find out they were selected as the honorary one billionth guests to ever step foot inside Disneyland and Disney California Adventure!

The family was invited to participate in a brief ceremony with the Disney Ambassadors of Disneyland Resort at the Main Street, U.S.A., train station platform, where they had the honor of helping unveil an updated sign listing the population of Disneyland as 1,000,000,000. Adding to the excitement, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse made a special appearance on the platform.

Following the ceremony, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck joined Andres and family for a special photo opportunity.

Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail at Disney’s Animal Kingdom has a brand-new leader! Bakari, a 21-year-old western lowland gorilla, has officially joined the park’s troop as their new silverback. He recently made the journey to Walt Disney World from his previous home at the Saint Louis Zoo.

Bakari’s arrival marks a poignant new chapter for the Gorilla Falls family following the loss of Gino, Animal Kingdom’s beloved longtime silverback. Gino passed away last year at age 44 after leading the troop for nearly three decades. An original resident since the park opened on Earth Day in 1998, Gino fathered 14 offspring, leaving an incredible legacy in wildlife conservation and in the hearts of millions of park guests.

According to park officials, this move offers Bakari the chance to head his own family group through the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) Species Survival Plan. This collaborative breeding program is vital to maintaining healthy, genetically diverse populations of endangered animals across accredited institutions.

Because western lowland gorillas are critically endangered, cooperative initiatives like the AZA Species Survival Plan are vital to their long-term survival.

To ensure a smooth transition, Disney’s animal care experts are giving Bakari plenty of time to acclimate to his new surroundings before his official public debut. While he adjusts, portions of the viewing areas along the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail are temporarily blocked off so the team can closely monitor his comfort and progress. Disney Springs has welcomed another new shopping destination! Vans has officially opened its doors in the Town Center, giving guests a fresh place to shop for the brand’s iconic shoes, apparel, and accessories.

The new location quietly opened without an official announcement from Disney, and as of its opening, the Walt Disney World website had not yet been updated to reflect the new store. The storefront features Vans’ signature style with black logo signage, a teal checkerboard window design, and rustic wood and stone architecture that blends into the Town Center aesthetic.

To celebrate the grand opening and the Fourth of July holiday weekend, guests can take advantage of 30% off apparel, accessories, and select sandals. Cast Members are also handing out Friends & Family coupons that can be redeemed for 30% off purchases between July 10 and July 12, giving shoppers another chance to score a deal.

Disney Confirms Cause of Fire at “it’s a small world” in Magic Kingdom

Disney has confirmed what caused the brief fire incident at “it’s a small world” in Magic Kingdom on July 1, and thankfully it wasn’t related to the attraction itself.

According to Disney, the incident was caused by a guest’s personal phone charger, which caught fire while on the attraction, likely during the loading or unloading process. Disney says Cast Members responded immediately, quickly extinguishing the fire before it could spread.

Fortunately, no guests or Cast Members were injured during the incident. After the area was cleared and the situation was resolved, “it’s a small world” reopened and resumed normal operations shortly afterward.

Videos shared on social media showed guests evacuating the attraction while smoke, or residue from the fire extinguisher, filled the loading area. Cast Members could be seen responding to the situation, and the evacuation appeared to be handled quickly and safely.

Guests Stop Tiana’s Bayou Adventure After Attempting to Exit Ride Vehicle Before Final Drop at Disneyland

Another safety incident has occurred aboard Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland, after guests reportedly attempted to exit their ride vehicle just before the attraction’s final drop.

According to a video shared on social media by @adventuresbyprince, the guests in the log flume directly ahead stood up and attempted to leave their ride vehicle moments before the attraction’s signature 50-foot drop. The ride immediately came to a stop, and a Disney Cast Member instructed the guests over the attraction’s intercom to remain where they were.

The guest who shared the video said the incident left everyone on the attraction stranded for more than 30 minutes while Disney responded. They also claimed that security was still searching for the individuals after the ride resumed, though that detail has not been independently confirmed by Disney.

The incident comes just over a week after another highly publicized safety event on Disneyland’s version of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, when a young guest exited a ride vehicle before the attraction had completed its course and fell down the flume. That previous incident drew widespread attention and served as a reminder of why guests should always remain seated and follow Cast Member instructions throughout the duration of any attraction.

Unlike the Walt Disney World version, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland features single-row seating without lap restraints, making it easier for guests to climb out of the log if they choose to ignore safety rules. Regardless of the attraction design, Disney’s safety procedures require guests to remain seated until instructed otherwise.

As of now, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is operating normally at Disneyland.
