Magic Kingdom Extends Hours for New Nighttime Spectacular “Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away”
Get ready to dream a little longer this summer! Magic Kingdom is staying up past its bedtime starting July 20 to celebrate the dazzling debut of its brand-new nighttime parade, “Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away.”
With this dreamy new parade lighting up Main Street, U.S.A. twice each night—once at 9:00 p.m. and again at 11:00 p.m.—park hours are being extended to match the magic. From July 20 through at least August 2, Magic Kingdom will now close at 11:00 p.m., giving guests extra time to soak in the sparkle. After August 2, park hours are currently listed as returning to 10:00 p.m., but don’t be surprised if more late nights are added!
This marks the first time since 2016 that Magic Kingdom has had a year-round nighttime parade, and it’s a big one! “Disney Starlight” features a Mary Blair-style lead float starring the Blue Fairy, Peter Pan, Wendy, and Elsa, followed by glowing tributes to Moana, Encanto, Disney Princesses, Coco, and Wish. The grand finale brings in the big cheese himself—Mickey & Friends—riding in style on a sparkling float to close the show.
The parade travels backwards along the traditional parade route, starting on Main Street, U.S.A. and ending in Frontierland.
All Aboard… But Not at Frontierland! Railroad Station Set to Close for Massive Expansion Projects at Magic Kingdom
Hold onto your conductor hats—changes are chugging into Frontierland! Disney has officially filed a new construction permit for the Frontierland station of the Walt Disney World Railroad, signaling the start of even more transformation in the Magic Kingdom’s wild west.
The permit, filed by Disney’s own Buena Vista Construction Company, calls for labor, materials, and electrical work at 4965 Caribbean Way—aka the Frontierland train station. The timing? It’s no coincidence. This station is set to close beginning July 7 to make way for the long-anticipated “Cars” expansion and the darkly delightful Disney Villains land.
While crews get to work, the beloved Walt Disney World Railroad will shift to “shuttle mode”—a partial operation where trains will run back and forth between Main Street, U.S.A. and Storybook Circus, rather than completing their full loop. The last time this happened was way back in 2011–2012 during the transition from Mickey’s Toontown Fair to Storybook Circus.
This isn’t the first time the Frontierland station has seen updates—just last year, it was refurbished as part of the transformation from Splash Mountain to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Meanwhile, the Main Street station is currently undergoing its own facelift, leaving the Storybook Circus station as the only one untouched… for now.
The closure also lines up with the farewell to the Rivers of America and its classic attractions like the Liberty Square Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island. With those attractions making way for Radiator Springs and beyond, it’s clear that a whole new land of opportunity (and mischief) is motoring into Frontierland.
No reopening date has been announced yet for the station—or the new lands—but when the train whistles return to full loop mode, it’ll likely be alongside some very exciting new neighbors. Ka-chow!

Disney Cruise Line Offers First Look at Disney Adventure Merchandise
Disney Cruise Line Singapore is offering more glimpses into the merchandise coming to the new Disney Adventure cruise ship. In a sneak peek on Thursday, they revealed a variety of apparel and accessories.
The Instagram post highlights various outfit combinations, perfect for your Disney Adventure. For the “seasoned traveler,” you’ll find a T-shirt featuring an all-over print of the cruise ship with Mickey and Friends in their cruise attire. This is paired with a blue ball cap, a red tote bag showcasing Disney Adventure artwork, a water bottle, a crossbody bag, and a reusable utensil set.
Another “seasoned traveler” look includes a youth T-shirt featuring Captain Mickey Mouse in front of the Singapore skyline with the Disney Adventure. This outfit is complemented by a matching sling backpack adorned with plush badges of Mickey and Friends, a bucket hat with mouse ears, an autograph book and pen, and a tumbler.
For those who are “creative and bold,” a collection featuring regional design influences awaits. This includes a pastel-patterned dress and a matching scarf with cleverly hidden Mickeys. A striking pink and gold bag showcases a Mickey-shaped rope icon at the center of a compass rose. To complete the look, you’ll also find bracelets, a tumbler, and a Minnie ear headband.
The “elegant tea lover” can opt for a charming pink patterned dress, complemented by a blue version of the compass rose bag. This collection also offers a blue scarf, a red and blue folding fan, and various kitchenware items, including a tray and cups.
This latest reveal includes even more delightful Duffy and Friends merchandise, which will be exclusively available at Disney Cruise Line’s first-ever Duffy and Friends Shop. We get a closer look at the previously unveiled cardigan, tote, bucket hat, and Duffy plush purse, now paired with new items like plush badges of Duffy and Friends, a folding fan, and a towel. All the characters are charmingly depicted with sailor hats to match Duffy.
For the “parent of the group,” a sophisticated yet casual look is highlighted: a white collegiate cardigan featuring Disney Cruise Line embroidered patches worn over a blue button-up shirt with ship embroidery. This outfit is complemented by a blue bucket hat, striped socks, a Mickey belt bag, and a spacious tote.
Finally, for the “explorer at heart,” the last outfit highlights National Geographic merchandise from the ship’s dedicated Nat Geo store. This adventurous look includes a teal shirt, gray shorts, a crossbody bag, a bucket hat, and a black backpack.
Disney Cruise Line Singapore’s Instagram reel offered a sneak peek at a red and blue Disney Adventure collection, featuring items like a folding fan, water bottle, and a T-shirt. Another collection was teased, described as “beautifully blending regional design influences,” showcased on a Minnie ear headband and a tote bag. Fans will also be excited to see a Loungefly backpack that matches those released on other Disney Cruise Line ships, displaying the Adventure’s unique Mickey and Minnie stern characters and filigree, topped with porthole-inspired Mickey ears. Lastly, a blue bucket hat with Mickey ears and an “Inaugural Sailings” design was also previewed, perfect for commemorating your voyage.
