A New “Chip ‘n’ Dale” Reboot and Much More is Coming on Disney+

A new “Chip’n’ Dale” reboot and much more is coming on Disney+. Today, at this year’s Annecy International Animation Festival, Disney announced more details about several animation projects that are in the works!

The new reboot featuring the world-famous pair of chipmunks will be on Disney Plus and is being developed by Disney’s London-based team. It is being co-produced with Marc du Pontavice’s Xilam. Xilam is a Paris-based company responsible for family hits, including “Mr. Magoo”. There will be 39 seven-minute episodes with traditional animation as the famous pair navigate life in the big city.

In addition to the announcement about the classic animated series being revamped, more information was revealed about several other projects.

One new and much-anticipated series that is coming is the “Monsters at Work” series. Coming to Disney Plus in 2020, this series picks up 6 months after the original movie ended, with a whole new class of monsters looking to create some laughs! Billy Crystal and John Goodman will reprise their original roles.

That’s not all that is new for Disney. It was also announced that the BBC Studios “Bluey” series is the latest Disney acquisition. The series is geared toward a preschool-age audience and features a Blue Heeler dog and her friends. “Ghose Force” tells the story of a group of junior high friends turned secret superhero team! This series is geared toward kids ages six and up.

Two more upcoming animated series include “Amphibia” – a show starring 13-year-old Anne who is transplanted to a new land filled with frogs and becomes a local hero, and “The Owl House”, a fantasy series about a young girl and a land filled with mysterious magic.

A musical clip from “101 Dalmation Street” was also shared today. This clip showed the beloved spotted family on a road trip in a London double-decker bus! The series was launched in Europe in March 2019 and has reportedly been viewed by 34 million people, including 12 million children.

As Helene Etzi, country manager at the Walt Disney France pointed out “Animation continues to be one of the cornerstones of Disney magic and story-telling”. Well if you’re attending the Disney Villains After Hours Event on June 13th, you’ll have a chance to score these holographic beauties before anyone else! That’s one day earlier than the June 14th release of the entire Magic Mirror assortment.

These items have been given a holographic foil treatment against white and clear fabrics, which give it an etherial fairytale aesthetic. The iridescent collection may look innocent, but as we know, looks can be deceiving! From the Minnie Mouse ears headband to the Loungefly backpack, and apparel, guests will have access to this new merchandise assortment at select locations in Magic Kingdom such as Mickey’s Star Traders and Emporium. This will special early release of the Magic Mirror items will only be available during the Disney Villains After Hours event, on Thursday June 13th.

The entire collection, as well as the new Imagination Pink collection will be available for all guests on Friday June 14th. Annual Passholders will also have an early opportunity an hour before the regular public for the V.I.PASSHOLDER Event at World of Disney in Disney Springs as well!

All New Dino-Sized Dinner Experience Coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Are you hungry for an all-new dino-sized dining experience? A fun new exclusive burger joint has popped up at Restaurantosaurus, in DinoLand, USA! You will have the opportunity to dine on hand-crafted burgers and build your own sundae in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

For just $22.99 plus tax for adults and $14.99 plus tax for children ages 3-9, you can select an entrée and a side dish and then build your own sundae! This experience can also count as one quick-service meal entitlement on the Disney Dining Plan.

On the menu are gourmet burgers, a chicken sandwich, a veggie burger, and a salad. For the sides, choose from fries or onion rings served with a delicious house-made dipping sauce. Plus, your dinner also includes a non-alcoholic beverage. Alcoholic beverages will also be available for purchase.

How Does this New Dining Experience Work?

Guests digging into this new dining experience will check in at a designated register where they will be escorted to a table in a separate dining room.

After you order your burger and sides, you’ll receive a token that can be redeemed for a bowl with two scoops of delicious ice cream. There is also a toppings bar to build your own sundae with an enormous amount of selections to choose from.

In addition to savoring these burgers and treats, you will be able to color with fun dinosaur stencils while cast members entertain you with games and stories of the paleontology students who created the restaurant.

Restaurantosaurus Burgers and Sundaes is available only during dinner on select nights. Quick service dining at Restaurantosaurus will still be available. Toy Story Drop! Pop-Up Event kicks off at Disney Springs with a World Record and Ribbon Cutting

Hey Howdy Hey! There’s a brand new Pop-Up event at Disney Springs. It’s set up for the new Toy Story Drop! App by Big Fish Games. We were invited to a fun ribbon cutting early this morning and got to experience history when Big Fish Games got inducted into the Guinness Book of World Records. Keep reading for this mornings activities plus information about the new app!

The Guinness Book of World Records

Big Fish Games arrived at Disney Springs around 2:30 in the morning and started to set up for their attempt to break a world record. They wanted to break the world record for the largest display of Toy Story Memorabilia. The previous record was set at 1,000. Not wanting to come close, Big Fish Games set up over 10,000 Toy Story toys including green army men, the little green aliens, and of course Buzz and Woody.

It was such an honor to be able to witness Big Fish Games being presented the certificate stating they were in fact the new record holders. An ambassador from The Guinness Book of World Records was on hand to count and present the certificate. It was such a fun and unique way to kick off the Pop-Up event. After the certificate was handed out all the toys were cleaned up and the area was set for ribbon cutting. Also it’s to be noted all of the toys will be donated to Give Kids the World.

After all the memorabilia was cleared up it was time to cut the ribbon and officially open this fun new Pop-Up. The Toy Story Drop! Pop-Up will be in Disney Springs for the next two months. Marilyn, one of the Walt Disney World Ambassadors, and the Vice President of Disney Springs, Matt Simon were on hand this morning. However they weren’t the only notable mentions. Mickey and Minnie also surprised us and helped cut the ribbon.

Toy Story Drop!

The reason for the event today was to kick off the new Pop-up event for Toy Story Drop! This fun app was created by Big Fish Games and is the first completely Toy Story centered app. You can find this fun spot for the next two months and play the game and have some fun photo ops! Not only can you play this fun new Toy Story themed game at Disney Springs but at home too! Toy Story Drop! by Big Fish Games is available in the App Store and Google Play. The app is free and one perk is it can be played without Wi-Fi! It’s perfect for travel and kids will be sure to love it. Hello long car or plane rides to Disney World.

The Toy Story Drop Pop-Up is now open for all guests visiting Disney Springs. It’s located near the T-Rex Cafe. Make sure you stop over and check it out before it’s gone. First Look For ‘Loki’ Series on Disney+ Revealed by Kevin Feige

First Look For ‘Loki’ Series on Disney+ Revealed by Kevin Feige. During a Disney investors meeting in April and artist rendering and Logo for the Tom Hiddleston led Loki series was revealed by Marvel Studio’s Head, Kevin Feige.

At the time of the showing this image was for the exclusive first look of those in attendance at the Disney investors meeting. That was, until Disney shared this image on social media:

Not much is known about the new series, but this single image confirms that the God of Mischief will be traveling through different points in time, and looks to be making an appearance in 1975 based off the theater marquee showing Jaws being featured in theaters, as well as the throwback style of the automobiles and clothing of the extras in the image.

Kevin Feige believes that Disney+ will open doors for more Marvel stories to be told that otherwise would never be showcased due to the constraint on theatrical release dates.

“Disney+ is, yes. Which is another exciting avenue and another exciting thing about being at this place at this time and goes back to the amount of characters we have and the amount of stories we could tell… When we announced ten movies and people asked “Well what about these other things?’ the previous stance would be ‘We only have a certain number of slots to make movies per year.’ That’s still true, but we have another outlet that I think will be very unique and very special.” Feige stated during an interview with Variety.

As exciting as an image tease is for the show, we are anxiously awaiting an announcement for the release date for Loki on Disney+. We do know that Michael Waldron (Rick and Morty) is penning the show and Tom Hiddleston has reprised his role as Loki Odinson for the Disney+ series.

“Toy Story 4” Stars Help Kick Off Disney Toy Delivery Program

Tim Allen and Tom Hanks assisted The Walt Disney Company kick off the annual Disney Toy Delivery at AdventHealth for Children in Orlando, Florida.

The wonderful voices of Buzz Lightyear and Woody, Allen and Hanks, distributed toys to children and families during their special visit. Patients also got to take a few photo ops with the Toy Story 4 characters.

Each year, The Walt Disney Company delivers pallet’s worth of toys, games, books, and comics to children’s hospitals. The items included in the toy deliveries are selected to promote normalcy, reduce stress, and inspire play during the children’s most difficult days.

This year’s deliveries even includes new products from Toy Story 4 which premieres in theaters on June 21st.

Elissa Margolis, senior vice president, Enterprise Social Responsibility for The Walt Disney Company said, “The Toy Story films celebrate the importance of toys in a child’s life—they are a source of comfort, joy, and consistent companionship. By delivering toys to children’s hospitals across the country we hope to raise the spirits of children facing serious illness and make their hospital stay a bit more comfortable.”

With the help of the Association of Child Life Professionals and Starlight Children’s Foundation, over $3 million in Disney products will be delivered to 450 children’s hospitals across the U.S. and Canada this year for the Disney Toy Delivery program.

Universal Orlando Resort To Live Stream Magical Celebration For Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure On June 11

On Tuesday, June 11, Universal Orlando Resort invites guests to tune in for a special live stream of the opening celebration for Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure – the epic new addition to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, opening to guests on June 13.

The live stream will give viewers a front row seat to an exciting, magical moment that will celebrate the world’s first “story coaster,” and feature special appearances from beloved Harry Potter film stars.

The live stream will begin at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, on Universal Orlando’s YouTube, Facebook and Twitter channels.

All new Frozen 2 Trailer was just released

A new trailer was revealed this morning for Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Frozen 2,” offering a glimpse at the dramatic journey Elsa and Anna take into the unknown.

From the Academy Award®-winning team—directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, producer Peter Del Vecho and songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez—and featuring the voices of Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad.

“Frozen 2” opens in U.S. theaters on Nov. 22, 2019.

Villa Del Lago Soft Opening at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

We lucked out and happened upon the soft opening of Three Bridges Bar and Grill at Villa Del Lago last night. Slated to open in July, we were able to sit back and relax at this new dining location at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort!

Sitting at Villa del Lago in the center of the lake, Three Bridges Bar & Grill will introduce a new table service dining experience. Delight in sandwiches, shared plates, and more at this relaxing lakefront restaurant.

Sharable plates include yummy dishes like Curry-Lentil Hummus, Szechuan Peppercorn Wings and Stuffed Mushrooms. The entrée menu includes the Villa del Lago Salad with arugula, frisée, warm Yukon potatoes, white beans, and asparagus tossed in a bright sherry vinaigrette. Also featured are Braised Pork Tacos, Grilled Skirt Steak, Harissa Lamb Chops, Crispy Chicken Sliders and the Three Bridges Signature Burger. This mouthwatering burger comes with crispy potato, Manchego cheese, roasted garlic-lemon aïoli, arugula and tomato.

We decided to try the Warm Churros and the Vanilla Custard Mickey tarts! Both were delicious and sweet and we highly recommend!

From the seating facing outward towards the tower, you can view both Epcot’s and Hollywood Studio’s fireworks.

The menu has great prices and a terrific selection. They gave us a postcard with the architect’s original sketch since we were there on the first night.
