Impressions de France To Close For Refurbishment

impressions de france refurbishment

Bonjour mesdames et messieurs!

If you are visiting Epcot this week and want to catch one of the viewings of Impressions de France then better hurry up.

The 18 minute film that showcase the charm and beauty of France is closing on October 2, 2019 for refurbishment.

Impressions de France To Close For Refurbishment

Earlier this year we learned that the Palais du Cinéma will be getting a Beauty and The Beast sing along in 2020, this will not replace Impressions de France, just running at different times.

So part of the renovations to prepare for this new addition will be an upgraded digital projection system for a visually enhanced experience, as well as a whole new exhibit in the pre show area.

As of now there is no official date for its reopening.

PS: The Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure activity inside the pre show area will not be available during the time of refurbishment, this will not affect the rest of the missions throughout the rest of the park.

Disney Cruise Line Southern Caribbean Port to Require Passport

Disney Cruise Line Southern Caribbean Port to Require Passport

A Disney Cruise Line port will soon require guests to have a valid passport to go ashore.

Guests traveling to the souther Caribbean port, Martinique, must have a valid passport to leave the ship and explore the port. Martinique is a popular destination for Disney cruisers.

Carnival Cruise Line recently sent out a message to those travelling to Martinique on the Carnival Pride this November. The message reads:

“Dear Carnival Pride Guest,

We have an important message to share regarding travel documentation requirements for Martinique.

Officials in Martinique have informed us that all cruise visitors to the island must have a valid passport in order to go ashore. This requirement will be strictly enforced by local authorities. If you do not already have a passport, we encourage you to obtain one before your voyage.

Thank you for your understanding. We can’t wait to welcome you aboard for a fun and memorable cruise.”

The Disney Wonder sails to Martinique on the 7-night Southern Caribbean Cruise from San Juan. The Disney Fantasy sails to the Disney Cruise Line port Martinique on the 9-night Eastern Caribbean Cruise out of Port Canaveral.

Disney Cruise Line’s website shows that passports are required for the 7-night cruise detailed above, but it does not state that passports are required for the 9-night Easter Caribbean Cruise. This will be changed soon.

The Academy Award®-winning team behind “Frozen” is back: “Frozen 2” is directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee; Peter Del Vecho produces, and Lee penned the screenplay with story by Lee, Buck, Marc Smith, Anderson-Lopez and Lopez. “The music of the Lopezes and Christophe Beck are part of the DNA of ‘Frozen,’” said Buck. “We couldn’t imagine building ‘Frozen 2’ without them. They bring such a rich, emotional understanding of the world and characters, and through their incredible music we have been able to really deepen and expand the story.”

“The songs and score of ‘Frozen 2’ reflect the growth of the characters and the deepening of their story,” added Lee, who also serves as chief creative officer at WDAS. “The music is fun but emotional, personal yet powerful, intimate but also epic. Kristen, Bobby and Christophe have definitely outdone themselves and taken the music to brave new heights.”

ORIGINAL SONGS BY KRISTEN ANDERSON-LOPEZ & ROBERT LOPEZ

Seven all-new original songs were written for “Frozen 2.” “From the beginning of our collaboration with Jennifer Lee, Chris Buck and Peter Del Vecho, everything we’ve created has come from big questions—what is the story that we all as artists, individually and collectively, need to tell?” said Anderson-Lopez. “Bobby and I approach the story through the lens of which moments of our story lead to big emotions—feelings so strong our characters can no longer talk but need to sing.”

Added Lopez, “Our tradition of songwriting comes from the world of musical theater, where songs must always forward the story in a fresh and surprising way. Every song has to take a character on a journey.”

The “Frozen 2” digital and physical track list follows. The vinyl soundtrack includes the first eight cast songs.

  1. “All is Found” – performed by Evan Rachel Wood
  2. “Some Things Never Change” – performed by Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Josh Gad and Jonathan Groff
  3. “Into the Unknown” – performed by Idina Menzel (featuring Norwegian singer AURORA)
  4. “When I Am Older” – performed by Josh Gad
  5. “Reindeer(s) are Better than People (Cont.)” – performed by Jonathan Groff
  6. “Lost in the Woods” – performed by Jonathan Groff
  7. “Show Yourself” – performed by Idina Menzel and Evan Rachel Wood
  8. “The Next Right Thing” – performed by Kristen Bell
  9. “Into the Unknown” – performed by Panic! At The Disco (end credits)
  10. “All is Found” – performed by Kacey Musgraves (end credits)
  11. “Lost in the Woods” – performed by Weezer (end credits)

PANIC! AT THE DISCO, KACEY MUSGRAVES & WEEZER TAPPED FOR END CREDITS

According to executive music producer Tom MacDougall, who won a Grammy for the “Frozen” soundtrack, the “Frozen 2” soundtrack features a wide range of songs and an eclectic mix of artists performing the end credit versions. “While we can’t wait for the world to hear these songs, we feel like we got a sneak peek of how people will react with how quickly our end credits artists signed on,” he said. “Their excitement for this franchise and these songs is represented in their wildly creative takes on each of their versions.”

ORIGINAL SCORE COMPOSED BY CHRISTOPHE BECK

Beck, who’s behind the score for “Frozen,” returns to Arendelle for “Frozen 2.” He ensured a cohesive musical thread throughout the film, weaving elements from the original songs into the score. Beck once again utilized traditional Norwegian instruments to showcase the unique setting of the film—“magical, but rooted in real tradition”—as well as the Norwegian female choir Cantus, who was recorded in Norway. According to the composer, the new score reflects the evolution of the characters. “Similar to how Elsa and Anna have grown up since the last film, the new score has also matured and introduces more sophisticated musical concepts and thematic elements,” he said. “The story’s emotional arc is more complex and intense than the first so I wanted the score’s thematic concepts and instrumentation to follow suit. I enjoyed exploring extreme dynamic contrasts, harmonic complexity, intricate textures with vibrant colors, and hugely expressive melodic moments.”

“Frozen 2” is the follow-up to 2013’s “Frozen,” which is the highest-grossing animated film of all time in the worldwide box office. “Frozen” won an Academy Award® for best-animated feature film of the year, and the film’s iconic song, “Let It Go,” with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, also won an Oscar® for best achievement in music written for motion picture, original song.

Campfire Milkshake from Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill makes us want S’more

Campfire Milkshake from Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill makes us want S'more

The Campfire Milkshake from Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill Orlando is now one of my favorite extreme desserts. It was definitely one of the most artisan as it took a few minutes to craft. The milkshake itself is a chocolate shake with a marshmallow flavor. The topper was glorious! I couldn’t get over the toasted marshmallow topping. They literally had torches going!

Campfire Milkshake from Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill makes us want S'more

Also on top were pretzels, caramel corn, and a piece of chocolate cheesecake. Again this is definitely a milkshake to share! The chocolate and marshmallow mix was very delicious and the little bit of salty from the pretzels was perfect to complete the flavor.

Campfire Milkshake from Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill makes us want S'more

This shake can be found at Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill’s express windows across from Chicken Guy at Disney Springs. The cost was $16. They also serve other shakes and gelato here. I’d never been inside this restaurant before and, I have to tell you, I was quite impressed. I can’t wait to go back to eat lunch or dinner in the upscale farmhouse setting.

Venture Into The Unknown With Frozen 2

Venture Into The Unknown With Frozen 2

We recently visited the Walt Disney Animation Studios to learn about all things Frozen 2! Disney’s newest project is quickly becoming the most anticipated animated film of the year! We had the opportunity to hear from the brilliant filmmakers and artists who worked on this project for over 3 years.

Venture Into The Unknown With Frozen 2

All of our favorite Frozen friends are back to take on a new adventure. However, this time they will encounter new friends, foes, and a new season.

Venture Into The Unknown With Frozen 2

We got introduced to a tiny salamander, Bruni. The overall goal with Bruni was to make him as cute as possible. After some sketch work by Bill Schwab, Art Director of Characters, the animators worked on this little guy’s strut. They referenced real salamanders to get Bruni’s movements just right. Bruni made us all laugh and smile and we have a feeling audiences will love him too.

Venture Into The Unknown With Frozen 2

Next, we focused on a character that we think a lot of people are pretty curious about. The water horse known as the Nokk. The Nokk is a beautiful and mythological creature from the Dark Sea. The creators even visited an equestrian center to familiarize themselves with real horses and their characteristics. They thought of the Nokk as a warrior and protector of the Dark Sea, and he will only allow the worthy safe passage.

Venture Into The Unknown With Frozen 2

Our friends, both old and new, encounter a new kind of land in this installment. A great deal of the film is set in an enchanted forest in the middle of autumn. The animators expressed how they had they felt that winter, more specifically snow, was like a blank canvas for them. Now, they had a much richer color palette to come up with. They even consulted with a Norwegian botanist to gain insight as to what trees would fit into a location like this. As Elsa, Anna, and the rest of the gang venture into this unknown territory the sights are undeniably beautiful, but what else will they encounter on their journey?

Make sure you see Disney’s Frozen 2 in theaters November 22nd to find out!
