The Merch is Served! A Sneak Peek at the 2025 runDisney Wine and Dine Half Marathon Merchandise!

The First Look at the 2025 runDisney Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend merchandise is here, and it looks absolutely delish! This year’s theme is “Disney Magical Mealtimes,” with each race celebrating a different part of the day’s eats: Mulan and Mushu for the 5K Breakfast, Olaf for the 10K Lunch, Lady and the Tramp for the Half Marathon Dinner, and Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather for the Two Course Challenge Dessert. Let’s dive into some of the must-have gear!

First up, you know you need the Spirit Jersey. This one is a gorgeous purple that matches the main wordmark, which pops in yellow and white. The best part? The lower half is decorated with white outlines of Spaceship Earth and fun food items from each race theme, think Mushu’s porridge, Fauna’s cake, Lady and Tramp’s iconic pasta, and Olaf’s sandwich. If a regular T-shirt is more your speed, there’s one in the same color scheme with the whole theme artwork, Spaceship Earth, and the Walt Disney World logo front and center.

Want to accessorize those miles? Check out the matching ear headband. It’s purple with a cool gray fabric bow. Each ear features the art for one of the four themes. Disney World has announced a new package deal allowing guests to save up to $250 per night on resort hotel accommodations. The offer requires the simultaneous purchase of a 4-night or longer Disney Resort hotel stay and a 4-day or longer theme park ticket. Bookings for this package are available starting September 30 for select visits between January 4 and July 25, 2026.

McDonald’s brings back the Monopoly game after nearly a decade.

The iconic MONOPOLY Game at McDonald’s is making its long-awaited return to the U.S., marking its first comeback in nearly a decade. Starting October 6th for a limited time, fans across the country can once again engage in the popular promotional game, which features new digital twists alongside the classic physical game pieces. The revival aims to give customers more ways to play and win by integrating the McDonald’s app into the experience.

This year’s game allows participants to collect traditional game pieces found on select menu items, while also earning a digital “Bonus Play” for a second chance to win prizes via the McDonald’s app. Customers can peel and play their pieces, using the app to collect properties and redeem prizes that include everything from dream vacations and new vehicles to free food and a $1 million cash prize.

The Disneyland Resort is looking to hire part-time Housekeeping Room Attendants. The Housekeeping team plays a crucial role in creating special memories and a home-away-from-home experience for every Guest, every day.

Disney Orders Character.AI to Pull Copyrighted Characters

Disney has told Character.AI to hit the brakes on using its characters without permission. According to reporting by CNBC, the company sent the AI startup a cease and desist letter last week, warning them to stop featuring Disney-owned IP in their chatbot platform.

Character.AI, which lets users create and chat with character-based bots, confirmed it removed the flagged characters. A spokesperson noted that while some bots are original, others were “inspired by existing characters,” adding the company wants to partner with studios to create official, revenue-generating experiences.

This is the latest in Disney’s fight to protect its franchises in the AI era. The company is already suing image generator Midjourney, claiming it misused characters from Cars, Toy Story, The Avengers, and more.

Character.AI isn’t new to controversy. Google struck a $2.7 billion deal with the company in 2024, the same year it was hit with a wrongful death lawsuit tied to a teenager’s interactions with chatbots on the app.

DINOSAUR Gets a New On-Ride Photo Just Months Before Extinction

Even as it prepares to roar its final roar, DINOSAUR at Disney’s Animal Kingdom has been given a brandy -new on-ride photo frame; a little surprise for fans before the attraction officially goes extinct in early 2026.

The updated frame has a vibrant, playful design featuring a green border with “2025” stamped on the side. In the bottom left corner, a Carnotaurus makes its dramatic appearance, while a fiery asteroid streaks across the upper right. The DINOSAUR logo and tagline, “It’s fast! It’s a blast! It’s in the past!” anchor the bottom right. To top it off, riders are congratulated with a speech bubble saying “You made it!” and a cheerful pterosaur chiming in with “Nice work!” Ferns, footprints, and a spiral shell round out the prehistoric look.

For longtime fans, the old photo frame will look familiar — and a bit more serious. That version mimicked rusty metal and included a faux stapled label identifying the expedition number, vehicle (Time Rover EMV 20.17), time period (65,000,000 B.C.), and specimen (Iguanodon). The Dino Institute logo gave it a scientific flair, with the DINOSAUR tagline tucked neatly in the corner.

But even with this fresh frame, the countdown clock is ticking. DINOSAUR will take its last trip back in time on February 1, 2026, officially marking the extinction of DinoLand U.S.A. at Walt Disney World. The area is being reimagined as the Tropical Americas land, which will bring entirely new experiences to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

In place of DINOSAUR, Imagineers are preparing an Indiana Jones attraction that will use the same ride track (a twin of Disneyland’s Indiana Jones Adventure and Tokyo DisneySea’s Temple of the Crystal Skull). Attorney Representing Kevin Zavala Family Claims More Guests Coming Forward With Stardust Racers Related Injuries

The death of 32-year-old Kevin Rodriguez Zavala on the Stardust Racers roller coaster at Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe continues to raise questions, as attorney Ben Crump says additional riders have now reported injuries on the attraction.

Zavala was found unresponsive after riding Stardust Racers on September 17 and was later pronounced dead. The Orange County medical examiner ruled his death an accident, caused by multiple blunt impact injuries. According to Crump, Zavala was unconscious for much of the ride and slumped over his restraints.

Universal has maintained that the coaster was functioning properly at the time of the incident. In a letter to team members, Universal Orlando Resort President Karen Irwin said there was “nothing wrong with the ride” and noted that it had passed inspections.

During a news conference on Tuesday, Crump announced that other guests have come forward describing restraint issues, being thrown forward during launches, and striking hard surfaces on the coaster. He argued these accounts are consistent with Zavala’s injuries and show his case “was not an isolated incident.”

One such account came in a statement from a woman who claimed she was knocked unconscious and suffered a spinal injury on Stardust Racers in May. She said she warned that the ride’s “excessive speed launches” were unsafe. The statement was read aloud by Zavala’s sister, though none of the individuals alleging injuries appeared in person.

The Zavala family believes these reports suggest warning signs were missed and that Zavala’s death could have been avoided. Crump also criticized Universal’s prior injury reports to the state, saying they often cited riders’ pre-existing conditions rather than potential safety concerns.

Like many high-speed thrill rides, Stardust Racers carries posted warnings advising that guests with certain medical conditions, such as heart conditions, high blood pressure, back or neck problems, pregnancy, or a tendency toward motion sickness or dizziness, should not ride.
