Relax and Match: Disney Magic Match 3D Mobile Game is Available Now!

Mobile entertainment studio Jam City has announced the worldwide launch of Disney Magic Match 3D, an enchanting new casual game developed in collaboration with Disney and Pixar Games. The game is now available for download on iOS and Android. Disney Magic Match 3D brings beloved Disney and Pixar nostalgia to life through 3D “pile puzzle” gameplay, challenging players with sorting and collecting challenges.

In Disney Magic Match 3D, players are invited to restore order to the enchanted Book of Magic, whose magic has gone awry, spilling iconic Disney and Pixar items across the pages. Disneyland Files First Construction Permit for Major Park Expansion

Disneyland has officially filed the first construction permit for its major DisneylandForward expansion. This permit specifically targets the future site of the new parking structure and transportation hub planned for the east side of the resort, marking the initial physical steps toward the project’s construction.

The newly filed construction permit, designated BLD2025-05043, lists the project address as 1509 S Harbor Blvd in Anaheim, California. It is currently categorized as being under Plan Review by the city.

The permit reads:

“DLR – East Esplanade – Site Work: Install 15 ln ft x 8 ft high chain link fence and 128 ln ft x 8 ft high wood fence.”

This permit is tied to the construction of a new parking structure and a pedestrian bridge on the east side of the Disneyland Resort. Construction is scheduled to begin in Fall 2026 and is expected to take multiple years to finish. The filing of this permit suggests that fencing will soon be erected to mark off the upcoming construction areas.

The DisneylandForward initiative, which received unanimous approval from the Anaheim City Council on May 7, 2024, is the resort’s ambitious expansion plan. Work quickly began on the Disney California Adventure side with the Avengers Campus expansion, which is set to include two new attractions: Avengers: Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab.

Construction is also anticipated to start soon on the first-ever Cocoattraction, conceptualized as a boat ride through the vibrant Land of the Dead. Further expansion projects for the Disneyland Resort include an Avatar land that is expected to replace the Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue attraction. Additionally, public records indicate that the city of Anaheim is considering a Skyliner-esque aerial gondola system that would include a stop at the Disneyland Resort.

Emergency crews were on the scene Friday morning, battling a fire that broke out at the former Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit roller coaster. Photos and videos confirmed the incident, showing firefighters actively working to extinguish the flames on the structure.

Disney has officially resumed development on a live-action movie adaptation of Tangled, according to recent reports. The project, which had previously been paused, is moving forward with a team of high-profile talent attached.

Michael Gracey, known for directing The Greatest Showman, is attached to helm the film from a script written by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson. Furthermore, reports indicate that actress Scarlett Johansson is being eyed to star in the villainous role of Mother Gothel. The film is set to be produced by Kristin Burr for Burr! Productions, alongside Emmy-winning producer Lucy Kitada.

The original animated Tangled was released in 2010 and is based on the Brothers Grimm fairy tale about Rapunzel. The film, which featured Mandy Moore as Rapunzel and Tony winner Donna Murphy as Mother Gothel, grossed over $590 million worldwide and earned an Academy Award nomination for its song, “I See the Light.”

Development on the live-action adaptation had reportedly been paused following the underwhelming box office performance of other live-action projects, such as Snow White. However, the studio has since seen commercial success with the live-action remake of Lilo & Stitch and Barry Jenkins’ prequel movie Mufasa: The Lion King, signaling a renewed confidence in the format.

The live-action slate remains busy, with director Thomas Kail’s version of Moana, starring Catherine Laga’aia and Dwayne Johnson, still scheduled to hit theaters on July 10, 2026.

Revenge of the Mummy Joins Universal Orlando’s 2026 Refurbishment Lineup

Uh-oh, adventurers — it looks like Imhotep is taking a short break from cursing guests next year. Universal Orlando has officially added Revenge of the Mummy to its growing list of scheduled refurbishments for early 2026.

The popular indoor coaster at Universal Studios Florida will be closed from January 15–21, 2026 for maintenance. While Universal hasn’t revealed specific details, this short closure appears to be part of the park’s routine upkeep — likely giving the ride system and effects a little TLC before spring break crowds descend.

For those unfamiliar, Revenge of the Mummy is a fan-favorite dark coaster that hurtles riders through fire effects, swarms of scarabs, and a few terrifying false endings as they try (and usually fail) to outrun the undead Imhotep. It’s a high-speed mix of thrills and practical effects — and the kind of ride that keeps you on your toes (and maybe clutching the lap bar a little tighter).

This update adds to an already packed refurbishment calendar across Universal Orlando:

The makeover haven for young royals ages 3–12 has long been one of the most beloved (and photographed) experiences in the park, and this latest update gives guests a streamlined selection of packages while keeping the core enchantment intact.
