Marvel Contest of Champions Brings Lizard, Pavitr Prabhakar, and Sinister Six Giveaways This November

Kabam is turning up the heat (and the heroics) this November with a month packed full of giveaways, new Champions, and live events for Marvel Contest of Champions. From Summoners Fest 2025 to the debut of two Spider-Verse icons, the Battlerealm is buzzing with activity—and there’s plenty for both new and veteran Summoners to sink their claws into.

Summoners Fest 2025 — One Week Away!

The biggest MCoC event of the year kicks off November 8–9 in Vancouver, BC, where eight semi-finalists from around the globe will compete live at Summoners Fest 2025. Tune in to the official Kabam Twitch channel starting at 10 AM PT each day for Quarter and Semi-Final matches, developer panels, and exclusive reveals. Viewers can even earn in-game rewards just for watching!

Something Sinister This Way Comes

Spider-Verse fans, rejoice—and maybe run. Two new characters are swinging into The Contest:

Lizard (Dr. Curt Connors) – A brilliant scientist turned reptilian powerhouse after a regeneration experiment gone wrong. Players can add Lizard to their roster beginning November 13.
Spider-Man (Pavitr Prabhakar) – The Spider-Man of Mumbattan joins the fight on December 18, but eager players can unlock him early through milestone rewards in his Double Track event.

Both heroes take center stage in the upcoming Event Quest “So Much More”, which sees Pavitr investigating mysterious multiversal tech while the Lizard finds himself unwillingly pulled into the Battlerealm. Expect some familiar Sinister Six villains to complicate their tangled web.

New Player Giveaway: The Sinister Six Spectacular Bundle

If you’ve been waiting for the perfect time to start Marvel Contest of Champions, this is it. From November 13 to December 10, new Summoners can claim the Sinister Six Spectacular Bundle, a 14-day giveaway featuring powerful Champions, rank-up materials, and resources galore.

Day 1 Highlights:
All 12 Spider-Verse 3-Star Champions, including:
Lizard, Spider-Man (Classic), Doctor Octopus, Vulture, Mysterio, Sandman, Green Goblin, Spider-Woman, Spider-Gwen, Miles Morales, Spider-Ham, and Peni Parker — plus two Nexus 3-Star Crystals.

Each subsequent day brings fresh supplies, catalysts, ISO-8, potions, gold, and two Awakening Gems by the end of the cycle.

New accounts created between Nov. 13 @ 5 PM PT and Dec. 10 @ 5 PM PT are eligible. Complete the tutorial and reach level 5 to unlock the in-game mail function where your rewards await. Current players will also receive a free 3-Star Lizard.

Side Quest: Top of the Charts

Music meets mayhem in the new solo side quest, Top of the Charts, where players will face one-on-one time-limited battles to climb the ranks and earn epic rewards. You’ll only have one minute per fight—and one Champion per round—so pick wisely and move fast!

This rhythmic rumble begins November 12 and runs through December 3, offering escalating rewards for each floor you conquer.

To celebrate the upcoming release of Wicked: For Good in theaters on November 21, Universal Studios Florida has transformed Wicked: The Experience with dazzling new décor, exclusive merchandise, and some spellbinding bites that’ll have every Ozian feeling swankified.

Disney Delivers Halloween Magic to Children’s Hospitals

For decades, Disney has delivered joy and comfort to seriously ill children around the world. The company’s commitment to pediatric patients continues to lift spirits, especially during the Halloween season.

For years, Disney has joined with the Starlight Children’s Foundation to deliver not-so-scary Halloween cheer to children’s hospitals. Since 2021, Disney’s donations have reached over 80,000 pediatric patients, according to Starlight.

A Frightfully Fun Tally of Gifts

Through its annual Halloween donations, Disney has gifted a truly impressive haul, helping kids who may not be able to participate in traditional Halloween activities still celebrate the holiday in style:

More than 52,000 costumes
25,000 books
10,000 accessories
4,000 toys

And this season will be no different, as Disney is donating thousands more costumes, toys, and books. With the help of the Starlight Children’s Foundation, the donations will be made available to a network of more than 800 children’s hospitals and pediatric places of care.

“Our collaboration with Starlight Children’s Foundation during the Halloween season is a beautiful reflection of how we work together year-round to bring comfort and joy to children in hospitals,” said Alisa Bowen, President of Disney+ and Starlight Children’s Foundation board member. “When a child receives a Disney costume, toy, or other gift, it’s so much more than just a fun item — it’s a chance to spark imagination, create their own story, and hold onto a joyful memory during a challenging time.”

Adaptive Costumes Bring Character to All

A highlight of these donations is the inclusion of adaptive Disney costumes, inspired by beloved characters like Cinderella, Elsa, and those from Incredibles 2 and Toy Story.

These specially designed costumes include elements like self-stick fabric closures, flap openings, and longer lengths to accommodate various medical needs. These paired perfectly with magical wheelchair covers designed to look like Cinderella’s coach, the Incredibmobile, and more, so kids could show off their wheelchairs in style.

The costumes allow children to step into the shoes of their favorite characters, providing comfort and familiarity to kids that may be struggling with the stressful transition to the hospital.

Spreading the Spirit Coast-to-Coast

Disney’s efforts go beyond donations, with special character visits spreading cheer:

Disneyland Resort recently brought the spirit of Halloween to patients and their families at Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC). Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in their Halloween attire visited the hospital’s campuses in both Orange and Mission Viejo.
Building on wider efforts, Disney, Make-A-Wish, MrBeast, and YouTube hosted some of the world’s top creators at Disneyland Resort to grant wishes for 40 Make-A-Wish kids at the ultimate Halloween experience.
At Canuck Place Children’s Hospice in Vancouver, Canada, Disney delivered costumes, stuffies, and books, half of which were shared with the Hospice center’s Abbotsford location. As Laura Fielding, Rec Therapy Manager & Education Liaison, shared: “We actually had one young patient… her special request was a Princess Party, so she was able to choose a special dress for that event!”

These efforts build upon the Halloween joy Disney spread last year, which included special events, thousands of costume, book, and toy deliveries, and a visit to Cohen Children’s Medical Center in New York from Auli’I Cravalho, the voice of Moana.

A Year-Round Commitment

Disney’s support of children’s hospitals continues beyond the Halloween season. As part of a recently fulfilled $100 million commitment to help reimagine the patient experience, more than 1,600 children’s hospitals and pediatric places of care in 45 countries have received enchanting installations, Disney-themed hospital gowns, complimentary access to Disney+ and new theatrical releases, toy deliveries, and more.

Disney is continuing to show up for kids and families in ways that only Disney can, bringing characters, stories, and experiences to kids in children’s hospitals.

With its official opening date of November 7 rapidly approaching, Disney has unveiled new details, including the official entrance sign, for the highly anticipated Zootopia: Better Zoogether attraction. The new 9-minute show, which replaces It’s Tough to Be a Bug!, is set to debut at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

A Vibrant New Marquee

The new entrance sign for the attraction features a vibrant color palette of blue and green with orange accents. In a fun touch of Zootopian theming, fan-favorite characters Officer Clawhauser and Flash Slothmore are prominently featured, holding the signage for the standby and Lightning Lane entrances, respectively.

Celebrating Zoogether Day

FAA Flight Reductions at Orlando International Could Disrupt Holiday Trips to Disney and Universal

Orlando International Airport Facing Ground Delays Up To 180 Minutes

If you’re flying into Orlando tonight, pack some patience — or a good book. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a Ground Delay Program for Orlando International Airport (MCO), with average delays stretching over two hours and continuing into the early morning hours of Friday.

As of 10 p.m. ET, the average delay sits at 161 minutes, peaking earlier in the evening at three full hours for flights scheduled to arrive between 6:00 and 9:59 p.m. EDT. The FAA’s delay scope extends across nearly the entire continental U.S. and parts of Canada, affecting departures from more than two dozen air traffic control centers — from Los Angeles (ZLA) to New York (ZNY) and Toronto (CYYZ).

The cause, according to federal aviation officials, is a staffing shortage linked to the ongoing government shutdown, now in its 30th day. While the agency continues to operate under contingency staffing, the shortage has reduced capacity at one of the nation’s busiest airports — right at the start of the busy holiday travel ramp-up.

FAA data shows delays will gradually ease after midnight, tapering from 131 minutes around 11 p.m. to roughly an hour by 2 a.m. EDT. Passengers should likely expect the delays to ramp back up throughout the day on Friday.

Passengers are advised to check their airline’s flight status before leaving for the airport and to expect continued ripple effects on Friday morning arrivals.
