Universal Orlando Closing Attractions to make way for New Offerings

Universal Orlando is closing select attractions to make way for new offerings. Most of Woody Woodpecker’s KidZone at Universal Studios Florida will be closing in January.

“Universal Orlando Resort will soon begin work on bringing exciting new family entertainment to Universal Studios Florida that will immerse guests in the adventures of beloved animated characters. To make way for these new additions, Fievel’s Playland, Woody Woodpecker’s Nuthouse Coaster, Curious George Goes to Town, DreamWorks Destination and Shrek and Donkey’s Meet & Greet will close on January 16, 2023 (the last day of operation will be January 15, 2023).

The E.T. Adventure, Animal Actors on Location!, SpongeBob StorePants – including meet and greets with SpongeBob SquarePants and friends – and KidZone Pizza Company will remain open for guests to enjoy.

Stay tuned – more details about the new experiences coming to Universal Studios Florida will be revealed in the months ahead.”

Universal has not announced what exactly will be replacing this location so stay tuned for more information to come!

Marvel working on a Vision Series starring Paul Bettany for Disney+

A spinoff series focusing on Paul Bettany’s Vision is in the works at Marvel Studios for Disney+.

Paul Bettany has had the wildest ride of any actor in the MCU. He started as J.A.R.V.I.S., the voice of Iron Man’s A.I. unit. Then he evolved into the android Vision.

It’s early days for the potential series, which is opening a writers room next week, and will be about Vision trying to regain his memory and humanity after the events of the show, which saw him rebuilt by S.W.O.R.D. to take on the created version of Vision in Wanda Maximoff’s fantasy world.

The new spinoff is being unofficially referred to by some as the White Vision project after the most recent on-screen version of the character. Introduced at the end of Episode 8 of WandaVision, White Vision was created by S.W.O.R.D. by rebuilding and reactivating Vision’s body and sent on a mission to destroy Wanda and her “Conditional” Vision.

The Vision show isn’t the only WandaVision spinoff. Kathryn Hahn’s baddie Agatha Harkness is getting one, while Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau has moved over to The Marvels.

Wakanda Forever Official Black Panther Podcast Debuts This Thursday, Nov. 3rd

Proximity Media, in collaboration with Marvel Studios and Marvel Entertainment, announces an upcoming six-episode podcast about the making of the highly anticipated film “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” opening in theaters nationwide November 11th.

WAKANDA FOREVER: THE OFFICIAL BLACK PANTHER PODCAST explores the next chapter in the story of Wakanda and honors the remarkable legacy of Chadwick Boseman. National Book Award-winning author, journalist, and writer for Marvel Comics’ BLACK PANTHER Ta-Nehisi Coates serves as host and writer. Proximity’s Head of Audio Paola Mardo serves as producer, as well as executive producer alongside Proximity’s founders Ryan Coogler, Zinzi Coogler, and Sev Ohanian. A preview of the show, which is the first podcast from Proximity Media’s new audio division, is now available across all major podcast platforms including Apple Podcasts, and Spotify.

Said Mardo, “Ever since Ryan, Zinzi, and Sev entrusted Proximity’s Audio division with this project, our goal has been to tell the story of the making of ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ with as much heart and authenticity as the film itself. With our premiere episode, we’ve accomplished this goal while breaking new ground in the process, thanks to the awesome collaboration between our incredible host Ta-Nehisi Coates, our talented podcast production team, and our collaborators at Marvel and Disney.”

Debuting Nov. 3, the first episode features a conversation between Coates and director and co-writer Ryan Coogler. The two artists and friends reflect on the cultural impact of ‘Black Panther,’ the legacy of Chadwick Boseman and his inspiration to the cast and crew. “There is no storyteller I admire more than Ryan Coogler,” said Coates, who makes his podcast-hosting debut. “Any chance to partner with him, Proximity Media and Marvel, is a worthy one. For that opportunity to be a chronicle of the making of ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ was simply too good to pass up.”

Subsequent episodes will be available weekly in January 2023, celebrating the five-year anniversary of the first “Black Panther” film. Guests will include cast and crew, including stars Angela Bassett and Dominique Thorne; score and soundtrack composer and producer Ludwig Göransson; production designer Hannah Beachler; director of photography Autumn Durald Arkapaw; co-writer Joe Robert Cole; producers Kevin Feige and Nate Moore; and more. Each episode, in tandem with guests’ conversation, will weave host narration, Göransson’s original score, film clips and field recordings. Story editing for the podcast is by James Kim. Audio editing is by Cameron Kell and Cedric Wilson. Sound design and additional music is by Pat Mesiti-Miller. Audio engineering is by Lauryn Newson. Production assistance is from Polina Cherezova.

Back and better than ever, the larger-than-life, open-air nighttime musical will boast the live performers, stunning effects, rousing music and dazzling pyrotechnics you know and love – complete with a brand-new show sequence!

“Through this entire sequence, we go on a journey with our heroes. We see them faced with a decision, and how hard that can be for them, then watch as they find that strength within themselves to push through in a truly spectacular way,” says Disney Live Entertainment Show Director, Matthew Hamel.

And spectacular it is. The new heroes sequence features a high-energy Aladdin chase with stunts never before seen on the “Fantasmic!” stage, a powerful scene with Elsa set to the song “Show Yourself” that is sure to thaw the most frozen of hearts, and stirring moments with Pocahontas, Moana and Mulan. Fun fact: To help choreograph the authentic Chinese martial arts you’ll see in Mulan’s scene, the creative team brought in Mimi Chan – the original muse and model animators used when bringing the character of Mulan to life for the 1998 animated film.

“We know this show means so much to people, and we’ve kept that in mind every step of this journey.” says Disney Live Entertainment Producer, Laurice Marier. “Even beyond the new scene, we’ve taken this time to upgrade the lasers, the lighting, the sound, all to bring this show back even more beautiful than it’s ever been. New Thanksgiving Pumpkin Pie Shake at Beaches and Cream is Worth the Trip. With Halloween treats going away today, and Christmas Treats a few days away, Disney released some delectable Thanksgiving snacks and treats to hold us over.

Pumpkin Pie Shake: Salted caramel shake with caramel drizzle, sprinkles, and a whole slice of pumpkin pie on top (New) (Available Nov. 1 through 27) is the newest creation at Beaches and Cream. Located outside at Stormalong Bay in between Yacht and Beach Club it is our favorite Ice Cream Shoppe to visit. This gives us one more reason.

The shake is very good, and the salted caramel flavor comes through and is not overpowering. The best part of this dessert is the pumpkin pie on top. The full slice looks great, to begin with, but once you bite into it, all the fall feels hit you at once. In fact, the pie was decent enough that we wanted to go home and make out own.

Disney+ has released a delightful new trailer for “Disenchanted,” the all-new musical comedy and sequel to “Enchanted.”

The film, which reunites original cast members Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, Idina Menzel, and James Marsden and also stars Maya Rudolph, Gabriella Baldacchino, Yvette Nicole Brown, and Jayma Mays, is directed by Adam Shankman and features new songs from Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz.

It has been more than ten years since Giselle (Adams) and Robert (Dempsey) wed, but Giselle has grown disillusioned with life in the city, so they move their growing family to the sleepy suburban community of Monroeville in search of a more fairy tale life.
