Mickey’s Christmas Village Train Display Arrives at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. Took a little longer than we have seen in the past, but the model train display is now out at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. This was the last resort display we have been wanting to see.

The “Mickey’s Village” Christmas Town features miniature village scenes with places named after various resort named areas. Cape May Cafe sits above the front village scene where little people are dancing and showing a family building a snowman. There are toy stores, Churches, coffee shops, and a lot of other businesses.

One of our favorite scenes is the Water Tower with Mickey Ears, a Mickey Ear Factory store, along with a Mickey Mouse watch factory with the facade of a famous Mickey hands watch. Keep an eye out for the Snowman Water Tower, which sits on the side of the display. Also, the Skyliner is pretty cool.

Disney Facing Patent Lawsuit Over Genie+

Disney is facing a new Lawsuit over its Disney Genie+ technology.

According to the Orlando Business Journal on December 2nd, 2022, Agile Journey LLC filed a lawsuit with the U.S. District Court in the Middle District of Florida in Fort Myers against The Walt Disney Company claiming Disney infringed on one of the company’s patents on how guests navigate its theme parks.

The court action was submitted by Yeslow Koeppel & Anderson, Bruster PLLC, and Key IP Law PLLC on behalf of Agile Journeys LLC.

Agile Journey LLC based in Glendale, California, is claiming Disney infringed on a patent published in 2002, titled “Method and Apparatus for Providing Visitors with a Personalized Itinerary and Managed Access to Attractions.” The Agile Journeys tech patent “describes a personalized itinerary system for attraction visitors.”

Agile Journeys claims the company has been damaged by The Walt Disney Company.

“Disney has infringed and continues to infringe (literally and/or under the doctrine of equivalents), directly, indirectly, and/or through subsidiaries, agents, representatives or intermediaries, one or more claims of the [patent] by making, using, testing, supplying, causing to be supplied, selling and/or offering for sale in the United States the Disney Genie system, including the Disney Genie App,” reads the lawsuit.

New Norway Pavilion Merchandise Available At Epcot!

We spotted new Norway Pavilion Merchandise in our recent visit to the World Showcase at Epcot that is inspired in the national flag. We found home decor, apparel and more! Take a look at the new pieces you can get during you next visit:

MUG – $24.99

The mug has a really cute and cozy design with a nice blue color and Steve Church, two puffins, two moose and a Mickey shaped icon featuring the Norwegian flag.

MICKEY MOUSE GLASS – $14.99

This fun glass features an all over pattern of Mickey shaped icons in the Norwegian flag colors.

KITCHEN

Aerial Look at Typhoon Lagoon Under Refurbishment. Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park is closed at this time. However, Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park is now open! No Reopening date has been announced, but this is a yearly refurbishment during the Florida winter season. Let us take an image tour of the water park empty of water.

Have you seen the Mandalorian and Grogu Meet & Greet in Disneyland?

Guests visiting Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland can now run into some intimidating (and adorable) characters. The Mandalorian and Grogu can be seen roaming around Batuu! Sometimes they are joined by other Star Wars characters like Boba Fett.

We recently had the chance to experience meeting Mando, Grogu, and Boba Fett while visiting Batuu at the Disneyland Resort.

Both bounty hunters roam the area while interacting with guests and posing for photos. Mando carries Grogu in his satchel and even introduces him to guests and lets them interact with him as well.

The Mandalorian and Grogu followed the appearance of Boba Fett and Fennec Shand in Galaxy’s Edge last summer. Other characters you might see on Batuu include Kylo Ren, Rey, Chewbacca, and Stormtroopers. These characters are free roaming with no formal queue for meet and greets.

Disney is hiring for Character Look-Alikes for Walt Disney World

Disney is hiring for character look-alikes at Walt Disney World! The resort is looking for around 10 different characters. They are all character Look-alikes from specific animated films.

Disney is seeking the following roles:

Disney Character Look-alikes: 5’3” – 5’7”, with warm, engaging, and outgoing personalities, to portray any of the following roles: Jasmine, Mulan, Tiana, Moana, Pocahontas, Raya, and Elena.

Those interested in applying can submit their audition now through December 7, 2022.

Requirements include:

Must be at least 18 years of age, and authorized to work in the United States.
This audition opportunity is not open to current Character Performers.

Disney is also seeking the following roles:

Disney Character Look-alikes: 5’3” – 5’7”, with warm, engaging, and outgoing personalities, to portray any of the following roles: Ariel, Rapunzel, Belle.

Those interested in applying can submit their audition now through December 7, 2022.

Requirements include:

Must be at least 18 years of age, and authorized to work in the United States.
This audition opportunity is not open to current Character Performers.
