The Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration ends on March 31, 2023. We’ve already started to see 50th decor being removed from the parks and now the park maps are going back to pre-celebration maps.
The new park maps have blue and green tones with a more earthy, Animal Kingdom feel rather than the previous iridescent 50th design. The map also no longer features 50th anniversary offerings like Beacons of Magic showtimes or the 50th golden statues.

New Hawaiian Stitch Spirit Jersey Spotted At Epcot!
Say aloha to a chilling style with the new Hawaiian Stitch Spirit Jersey we found at the Creations Shop in Epcot! It’s super cozy and a nice piece for those chilly summer days at the beach.
It features a blue tie-dye color with Stitch playing his ukelele next to the retro Disney World logo on the front and Stitch enjoying some relaxing time with some ice cream surrounded by palm trees on the back. The Walt Disney World logo is also featured across the back in dark blue letters.

The celebration continues with the new Disney100 The Decades 1940’s collection coming to shopDisney and Disney Parks on April 17th at 8am PT! So mark your calendars if you want to get this decade in your collection.
The only sneak peek we have about this new merchandise is a Loungefly backpack inspired in Pinocchio! Most specifically, in the scene where Pinocchio gets donkey ears after being a bad kid in Pleasure Island, a very important part in the movie.

Orlando Airport Expects Record Breaking Spring Break Season
The Orlando airport is expecting this coming Saturday to be the busiest day for spring break travel. Nearly 173,000 people are expected to pass through the Orlando International Airport. Six passenger traffic records have been broken already this spring break season.
On March 11, the single day record was broken with more than 95,000 departures. The previous record was about 90,000 in March 2019. Saturday, March 18, was the second busiest day in airport history and Sunday, March 19, was the third busiest.
The spring break season typically runs from March 4 to April 18. The Orlando International Airport expects 7.3 million passengers to pass through the airport during the spring break travel period. Travel has definitely picked up this year as that is roughly one million more travelers than last year.

An exciting refresh is coming soon! Splash Mountain will undergo a transformation—and will reopen in late 2024 as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, a whimsical attraction inspired by The Princess and the Frog.
Work has been underway for a few months already in Walt Disney World as it’s Splash Mountain is already undergoing construction to change to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

The New Tron-Themed Quick Service Spot Energy Bytes is now open in the Magic Kingdom! We had a chance to drop by for a quick byte after riding Tron Lightcycle Run.
3 New Star Wars Movie Announcements Expected Next Month
Lucasfilm is set to announce three new film projects during Star Wars Celebration in London next month. There has been a small drought of films from the Star Wars universe since the last release The Rise of Skywalker in 2019. Star Wars is currently thriving on the small screen on Disney+ courtesy of The Mandalorian, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and The Book of Boba Fett. Lucasfilm has more planned for Disney+ with Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew on it’s way, but theaters are currently dark.
Kathleen Kennedy and her team look to change all that in the coming weeks. Lucasfilm has been trying to jumpstart the next era of films but has yet to get any projects into production. Films by Kevin Feige, Patty Jenkins, and Rian Johnson have fallen by the wayside.
Without a film in theaters, Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy could be out of a job. There have been talks of a film from Taika Waititi. Another project from Peaky Blinders‘ Stephen Knight is another potential candidate. We will have to wait and see for Star Wars Celebration to see if Lucasfilm can deliver a new film by Christmas of 2025. What are your thoughts on any upcoming Star Wars films? Hollywood Studios Park Map Removes Mention of Disney World 50th
The newest Disney’s Hollywood Studios park map has removed all mention of Disney World’s 50th anniversary. With the anniversary celebration ending in just a few days, it’s no surprise that the park maps are removing references to the 50th anniversary.
While some parts have been removed from the map, a dining location has been added! Roundup Rodeo BBQ in Toy Story Land can now be found on the park map.
The map now has an ombre border around the park icon, Twilight Zone Tower of Terror on the front. Park rules are listed on the back of the map.

Disney PhotoPass at the Walt Disney World Resort now offers Video Memories. These new memories are included as part of Memory Maker, Disney World’s photo package.
Create Disney PhotoPass video memories! Revisit the magical experiences you encountered on your Disney vacation by creating video memories—using your own photos and videos, photos and videos you might have in your Disney PhotoPass gallery and iconic images and videos from the Disney Library. Add enhancements, as you wish, including stickers, music and text.
For all Guests with the My Disney Experience app, begin creating your video memories by selecting a template from the Disney template collection to create a theme for your video memory.
Next, decide how you want to make your video memory:
If you choose “Quick Video Memory,” you’ll select the photos and videos—and we’ll create a Disney PhotoPass video memory for you! You can always make additions and enhancements later, including stickers, music and text.
If you choose “Advanced,” you’ll create your own Disney PhotoPass video memory yourself—selecting your photos and videos, plus adding stickers, music and text to your visual images.
Then, see your video memory!

Jonathan Majors Arrested For Alleged Assault In New York
It is being reported that Marvel’s Jonathan Majors was arrested on Saturday in New York on domestic violence allegations after a dispute with a 30-year old woman.
According to a statement from the NYPD, the woman told officers that she was assaulted, and was taken to the hospital with “minor injuries to her head and neck.”
A representative for Majors denied the allegations.
“He has done nothing wrong,” Majors’ spokesperson said in a statement to Variety. “We look forward to clearing his name and clearing this up.”
According to the police statement, the officers received a 911 call around 11:14 a.m.
“A preliminary investigation determined that a 33-year-old male was involved in a domestic dispute with a 30 year-old female,” police said. “The victim informed police she was assaulted. Officers placed the 33-year-old male into custody without incident. The victim sustained minor injuries to her head and neck and was removed to an area hospital in stable condition.”

The Bambi voice actor visited the characters 50th anniversary statue recently at Walt Disney World
The 50th anniversary celebration brought the Disney Fab 50 Character Collection to the 4 Walt Disney World theme parks. Recently Donnie Dunagan, who voiced Bambi in the original film, visited Disney’s Animal Kingdom to get a first-hand look at the golden statue dedicated to Bambi and Thumper.
Dunagen voiced Bambi in the 1942 film, which continues to delight fans of all ages to this day. He traces his roots with the Walt Disney Company back to days spent touring Disneyland with Walt and, at just 7 years old, as the voice of Bambi.
As an adult, Donegan would go on to serve in the United States Marine Corps, where he enjoyed a highly decorated career that included being nominated for the Medal of Honor earning two Silver Stars, three Bronze Stars and three Purple Heart Awards. Throughout his service in the Marine Corps, Donegan kept the fact he was the voice of Bambi a secret from those he served with.
