Jon Favreau’s Oswald the Lucky Rabbit Disney+ Series Casts Three Leads
Jon Favreau’s highly anticipated “Oswald the Lucky Rabbit” series is officially moving forward at Disney+, and the core lead cast for the animated/live-action hybrid has just been revealed. This exciting project from Walt Disney Studios, with Favreau at the helm as writer and producer, is poised to bring one of Disney’s earliest characters back into the spotlight.

The series, which is described as an animation/live-action hybrid akin to “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?” and “Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers” (2022), has cast three young talents in its lead roles:
- Ravi Cabot-Conyers, known for his work in Lucasfilm’s “Skeleton Crew” and Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Encanto” franchise, will portray Jake, a hardworking middle school student with a big heart.
- Mykal-Michelle Harris, whose credits include Disney Television Animation’s “Ariel” and It’s A Laugh Productions’ “Raven’s Home,” is set to play Jen, an artistic middle schooler who is always ahead of the game.
- Ryder Allen, who appeared in HBO’s “The Penguin,” will take on the role of Taylor, a middle school student who is cautious but never turns down his friends.
Adding to the buzz, David Errigo Jr., who has voiced Oswald in games like “Disney Speedstorm” and “Disney Dreamlight Valley,” recently hinted on social media that he might reprise his role as the titular character in the show.
The series centers around Oswald the Lucky Rabbit himself, characterized as a saucy and self-absorbed bunny. With Favreau’s impressive resume, including Marvel Studios’ “Iron-Man” franchise, Lucasfilm’s “The Mandalorian & Grogu,” and Walt Disney Studios’ “The Lion King,” fans can expect a fresh and engaging take on this classic character.
