Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings announced in a press conference today that he is lifting the mask mandate for individuals while outdoors.

The announcement comes after the CDC updated mask guidance for vaccinated individuals. Orange County recently reached the 50% vaccination level that Demings had set in order to make changes to the mandates.

This policy change will allow Disney to eliminate some mask requirements at Walt Disney World. Yesterday, Disney CEO Bob Chapek indicated that mask use could be reduced this summer. Though he didn’t specify when or how.
As of now, Disney has not made any adjustments to mask requirements other than to allow guests to remove them while taking stationary photos.
