Ohana Breakfast is back at Disney’s Polynesian Resort! Unquestionably, ‘Ohana is one of, if not the most popular restaurant at Walt Disney World Resort. Unfortunately, it had been closed due to the pandemic for the past 14 months. Now, Ohana has reopened, and we can all rejoice and enjoy our time with family. Chip and Co were lucky enough to score reservations for the sought-after opening weekend, and we could not be happier. We hopefully kept you in the loop while posting images and videos on Instagram all morning. You can see the posts below.
“Welcome Cousins!” Those were the first words to greet us as we entered the seating area of Ohana’s, instantly we felt at home. Ohana means family! It felt like we were part of a big happy family having a reunion. Kinda mushy, but it has been a long time waiting for this to reopen. Wadi our waiter was attentive and was quick with the POG juice. Also, giving us ample time to sit and chat and enjoy the amazing view of the Magic Kingdom.

We were then greeted by our appatizer bread dish. Freshly made Pineapple-Coconut Breakfast Bread and a side of Seasonal Fruit. I can only say this warm fresh bread is exactly what you remember! The inside was soft and tender and warm, along with the butter that is sweet, it made a fantastic combanation. The fruit stayed on the table until the end, it made a nice palet cleanser, and made for good noshing while having a Moana Smoothie at the end of our meal.
Next was the main course, which is listed out below. Prior to eating we did a poll on instagram to chose which was the best waffle shape, Mickey or Stitch. Suprisingly, Stitch lost by a good percent, but that is ok. I doubt Stitch cares. Clearly, the meat tray is the main course. The eggs were scrambled and you guessed it, tasted just like eggs. Seriously, not much to say on the egg front. The Ham and Compote were delightful, the compote actaully helps balance out the saltyness of the ham. Sausage was cooked perfect, with that nice snap when you bite into it. Nothing osft or mushy! The potatoes are well done, both ways. Over cooked and tasted great. That is how I like my home fries, but that is just me.

We ended our breakfast with trying out the new Moana Smoothie.
Moana Smoothie
Vanilla Smoothie with flavors of Watermelon, Mango, Guava, and Ginger topped with Whipped Cream, Edible Flowers, and a Moana Chocolate Disc. Available for $6.49. It was cute, it was thick, it tasted like a wierd Pina Colada. Not in a bad way.
We truly enjoyed our breakfast, we were joined by some amazing friends and the conversation kept rolling. It felt like we were home having a catered dinner. The vibe of Ohana just makes you want to stay and enjoy yourself. Looking over the Magic Kingdom, seeing Cinderella Castle on the other side of the Lagoon. It is magical in Ohana.
It was sorely missed. We missed the Cast members who make Ohana special. So we say Welcome back Cast members. Thank you for everything and all the magical moments you make for us and our families. We will keep coming back becouse of you. in fact we will be back next week for dinner. Keep our seats warm!
