Newcomer Alyssa Wapanatâhk to Play Tiger Lily in Disney’s Live-Action ‘Peter Pan & Wendy.’ Hollywood newcomer, Alyssa Wapanatâhk, has been cast as Tiger Lily in the upcoming Disney live-action film, Peter Pan & Wendy.
According to The Wrap, “Alyssa Wapanatâhk is a Canadian actress and a member of the Cree (Nêhiyaw) First Nation. She has been acting since she was 16 years old. She also recently wrote, produced and directed the short film “Napes Kasêkipatwât / The Boy And The Braid” which was one of the first-ever recipients of the Telus Indigenous Storyteller Edition grants.”
“Peter Pan & Wendy is a live-action adaptation of J.M. Barrie’s classic tale of a boy who wouldn’t grow up and recruits three young siblings in London to join him on a magical adventure to the enchanted Neverland island.”
Currently, the film will star Ever Anderson as Wendy, Alexander Molony as Peter Pan, Yara Shahidi as Tinker Bell, Alyssa Wapanatâhk as Tiger Lily and Jude Law, who is rumored to portray Captain Hook. It is unknown who will play Mr. Smee, John and Michael Darling, The Darling Parents, or The Lost Boys. We will be sure to share more casting information as it becomes available.
