New Tron Construction Photos from the Peoplemover. Time for the weekly update on the construction going on over at Tomorrowland and the new Tron Coaster that is being built, along with some updates on the Walt Disney World Railroad.
Tron construction is moving along on the front walkway and entrance into Disney World’s newest coaster. Our feeling is most of the ride is done since they have been testing it regularly at full speed. Outside they are building retention walls all over the front. The side closest to Tomorrowland Speedway has at least 3 different walls going up, plus there is one on the Peoplemover side being constructed.
For the Railroad tunnel and entrance, Disney is adding higher cement walls. I think they are going to be retention walls in the same area, but mostly they are building the walls so people who do ride the WDW Railroad won’t see Tron at all. Check out all the images we took while riding the updated Peoplemover.

Groundbreaking computer animation and brilliant visual effects created a legacy that delights fans to this day.
In 1982, Disney made filmmaking history with TRON, the first production of its kind to mix live-action with computer-generated visuals and backlit animation. Loved by legions around the world, it went on to inspire video games, comic books, an animated series and the 2010 big-screen sequel, TRON: Legacy.
Today, Shanghai Disneyland honors the franchise with one of the coolest and fastest indoor roller coasters in any Disney theme park—TRON Lightcycle Power Run.
