New Themes Announced for the 2019 Star Wars Rival Run Weekend!  Star Wars Rival Run Weekend is returning to Walt Disney World Resort. Races are scheduled to occur from April 4-7, 2019. While the race weekend is still 6 months away racers are hard at work to prepare for their runs. Some racers even dress head to toe as their favorite and most iconic Star Wars Characters. To help with their preparation Disney has released the new themes for each individual race.

Star Wars Rival Run 5K : Finn and Captain Phasma

Star Wars Rival Run 10K : Han Solo and Boba Fett

Star Wars Rival Run Half Marathon : Rey and Kylo Ren

Star Wars Rival Run Challenge : Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader

runDisney Kids Races : BB-8 and BB-9E

For racers who want to master the runDisney Kessel Run Challenge, and become one with the force, must complete both the Star Wars Rival Run Half Marathon at Walt Disney World Resort and the Star Wars Virtual Half Marathon. The Star Wars Virtual Marathon will be represented by one of the droids we are looking for, R2-D2.

Racers, who register before January 15, 2019 for the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and Challenge, will get to choose which side they represent, the light or the dark side of the force. Those who choose a side before the deadline will be represented on their race bibs based on their decision. For racers who register after the deadline, the force will chose whether you run for the light or dark side during the race weekend.

Haven’t signed up yet? No worries. There are still spots available for both the 2019 Star Wars Rival Run Weekend races and the 2019 Star Wars Virtual Half Marathon.
