Disney and trains go together like peanut butter and jelly. Walt absolutely loved them! Well, that centuries old love affair may be laying the “track” for a new train stop at Walt Disney World Resort. Local news outlets in Florida are reporting that Brightline, a high-speed train currently based in the same state as the happiest place on earth, could possibly have nodded towards a stop located at Walt Disney World.
A public statement released to investors included many documents. One of which was a map! This map notes its current stations and possible stops to be developed in the future. As you’ve probably guessed, one of those stops indicated as a possibility is located as a Disney station between Orlando and Tampa.
The train-service has previously promised that a stop would be located in Orlando sometime within the next three years. However, some are scrathing their heads as Disney has turned down offers in the past for partnership with other train companies. If this possibility comes to light it would offer a much cheaper (and faster) mode of travel for Florida residents.
As of now Disney has not commented or verified the information, but as more is released…we’ll be on top of it to keep you up-to-date!
