It’s fall, so we’ve been seeing a lot of seasonal pumpkin treats around Walt Disney World. But what we don’t talk about enough is how every year there seems to be a similar theme in a lot of the items. Obviously, many are pumpkin spice flavored, but some years Pumpkin Cupcake seems to be king, other years it’s Pumpkin ice cream, and so on. This year’s theme is definitely Pumpkin Cheesecake Mousse.
We’ve seen it at the Riviera Resort with the aptly-named Pumpkin Cheesecake Mousse. It’s also in the Minnie Mousse Cake from Amorette’s Patisserie. And now it’s on top of a brownie in Animal Kingdom.
This is the Pumpkin Cheesecake Brownie. It’s a thick, dense brownie topped with pumpkin-flavored cheesecake mousse, decorated with cute chocolate Mickey ears. The mousse part is even a bit shiny on the outside, covered in a silvery orange-tinted coating. It looks like a little Mickey pumpkin wandered into the right dessert bar!
The pumpkin mousse is very similar to the desserts I mentioned above. If you loved those, then this is another great dessert for you! It’s a strong pumpkin pie flavor, but lighter texture like a mousse. The brownie was the real surprise of this treat: though cakier than boxed brownies tend to be, this one is moist and flavorful. Honestly, this was the part that was hard to share!
The Pumpkin Cheesecake Brownie costs $5.49 before tax and can be found at Creature Comforts, otherwise known as the Starbucks in Animal Kingdom. Get yours while they last!
