New Photos Offer Behind-the-Scenes Look at Disney Believe Construction

Natacha Rafalski, President of Disney Signature Experiences, recently took to social media to share a behind the scenes look at the Disney Believe—Disney Cruise Line’s highly anticipated next vessel.

Rafalski—alongside key leaders from Disney Cruise Line and Walt Disney Imagineering—visited the renowned Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, to see early milestones for the Disney Believe firsthand.

In her post, Rafalski reflected on how far the Disney Believe project has already come and shared photos highlighting significant progress:

“The Disney Believe is taking shape! I recently had the opportunity to visit Papenburg, Germany with our Disney Cruise Line and Walt Disney Imagineering teams to see the progress being made on our next ship. From holding a piece of steel to standing in front of the iconic funnel, the day was filled with excitement for the future.”

• The Iconic Funnel Taking Shape: Photos show the team gathered beneath the enormous, unfinished red-primer funnel inside the building hall, complete with the raised Disney Cruise Line emblem already molded onto its side.
• Steel Cutting Progress: The leadership team also posed holding newly cut steel components, each stamped with hull number 723—the official shipyard designation for the Disney Believe.

First officially announced during Disney’s Annual Meeting of Shareholders in March 2026, the Disney Believe marks the ninth ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet and the fourth vessel in the popular Wish Class line:

According to Disney Parks, the Disney Believe will celebrate characters who dare to dream big and trust in themselves. While specific dining, entertainment, and lounge details are still under wraps, Disney has confirmed the ship will weave in stories from fan favorites like:

• ❄️ Frozen
• 🍎 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
• 🌊 Moana
• 🧜‍♀️ The Little Mermaid

The Disney Believe is targeted to set sail in late 2027, as part of Disney Cruise Line’s grand strategy to expand its global fleet to 13 ships by 2031.
