Recently, Disney filed for a construction permit regarding the Rainforest Cafe at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The permit details are shown by the Orange County Comptroller office. The permit indicates an update in maintenance for current dining room animatronics and electrical lighting. It may sound general, but this is a good sign Landry’s intends to keep the Rainforest Cafe locations operating at Disney!
Disney World property has two locations of the chain restaurant, Rainforest Cafe. You can find one at the entrance to Disney’s Animal Kingdom and the other at Disney Springs. The menu ranges from burgers, appetizers, chicken, seafood, and ribs. You can also enjoy salads, soups, and yummy desserts, too.
At the Animal Kingdom location, there is an entrance to the Rainforest Cafe outside the park. Therefore, you don’t need a park ticket to enter. Also, the Animal Kingdom location is part of the Disney Dining Plan. So it’ll count as a table service credit per each member of your party.
You truly feel like you are in a rainforest during your dining experience. There is a mix of animatronic animals, such as gorillas and birds, among the interior vegetation. Plus, there’s a “rainstorm” that takes place every so often to add a thought of theatrical fun to dining. The permit will allow the restaurant to update and improve upon the theme entertainment for guests.
