Everybody loves a Minnie Mouse dessert. Her iconic polka dot bow and those two round ears should grace more food items at Walt Disney World, in my opinion. She even makes food taste better, don’t ask me how. Just try the new Minnie Strawberry Waffle Sundae at Disney Springs if you don’t believe me.
When I saw that Aristocrêpes was shutting down and getting a whole makeover in Disney Springs, I’ll admit I was torn. More Dole Whips is always a good thing, but I was going to miss the crêpes and bubble waffles I had been accustomed to finding there. So when Marketplace Snacks updated their menu with all-new bubble waffles, I was pumped! Themed after Mickey and pals, you’ll find fruits, cookies, chocolate, and peanut butter flavors. Just pick your favorite friend! They’re all super cute.
My favorite was the Minnie Strawberry Waffle Sundae. I’ll start by saying that the Mickey-shaped bubbles in the waffle are exactly the kind of Disney details I live for. The waffle is stuffed into a cone (with extra waffle bits at the bottom to stop any leaks, which is genius!) and filled with soft serve vanilla ice cream. A strawberry topping and fresh sliced strawberries are added, as well as some crispy pearls, what appear to be Strawberry Pocky sticks, and a chocolate Minnie bow to finish things off. It’s beautiful! And it tastes great too. This was my family’s favorite flavor. A fruity flavor that is refreshing on a hot Florida day. But better eat the ice cream before it melts!
